Abstract

Bryophyte is classified as a plant in which its parts cannot be distinguished (thallus), bryophytes can grow on various substrates, such as on bark (epiphytes), rocks, wood, and can grow on the surface of the soil (terrestrial). One of the locations in West Java that has the potential for moss diversity is the Cibodas Botanical Gardens. One of which is a type of liverwort from the genus Cyathodium. resembles a fan and splits into two Cyathodium has a bright green color, and has a pungent odor. Cyathodium is commonly found around the waterfall area, due to the natural environment, humidity, and abundant water. This study aims to determine the diversity of the genus Cyathodium that grows in the Cibodas Botanical Gardens and to determine the morphological and anatomical characteristics of the genus Cyathodium. This research was conducted from March to May 2022. The research location is in the tourist area of Ciismun Waterfall, Cibogo Waterfall, and in office cliff Cibodas, Cianjur Regenc, West Java. The method used is descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. Identification is done using an identification key. The results of the study found 1 type of liverwort from the genus Cyathodium, namely the type cyathodium foetidissimum Schiffn. Survival, and abundance The diversity of moss species is strongly influenced by appropriate environmental factors, these environmental factors are abiotic factors and biotic factors, while abiotic factors include temperature, humidity, soil pH and altitude, while biotic factors include plants in the area.

Abstract

Ganitri (Elaeocarpus ganitrus Roxb) is a fast-growing tree species that is widely found in Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand. Ganitri seedlings’ generative propagation takes a long time because the seed coat is very hard, causing difficulty to germinate, therefore it is conducted vegetatively using stem and shoot cuttings with hormone treatment. The research objective was to obtain growth response of shoot cuttings and ganitri stem cuttings to hormone administration. The research was conducted in Silviculture greenhouse at Center for Standardization of Instruments for Sustainable Forest Management in Bogor. It used a Completely Randomized Design with a factorial pattern consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is cutting material: shoot cuttings and stem cuttings. The second factor is phytohormones: Rootone-F and coconut water. The results showed shoot cuttings with Rootone-F treatment gave the best growth compared to other treatment combinations. This was indicated by percent growing cuttings, percent rooted cuttings, root length, shoot wet weight, root wet weight, shoot dry weight and root dry weight which were higher with values of 63.33%, 53.0%, 8.10 cm, 2.92 grams, 0.28 grams, 1.33 grams, and 0.21 grams respectively. Thus, shoot cuttings survival with Rotoone-F hormone had a higher result than stem cuttings, reaching 63.33%.

Abstract

Local gravestone (Pilsbryconcha exilis) is an animal that lives in fresh waters such as rivers, lakes, and other waters. The survival of local mussels is very high so that in large quantities it can be used as a water purification process due to pollutants and heavy metal pollution. Cyanide is commonly used to extract gold ore, waste that is wasted in waterways contains a lot of CN compounds so that it can pollute the living things in it. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of local gravestone (Pilsbryoconcha exilis) as a biofilter to decrease cyanide (CN) levels. This study consisted of three treatments and one control (without KCN) with one replication. The number of mussels in each treatment amounted to 10 tails with the concentration of cyanide used was 0.04; 0.07; and 0.1 ppm. The results of this study indicate that local gravestone can affect the decrease in cyanide levels in the experimental aquarium media. In the treatment with KCN concentration of 0.07 ppm there was a decrease in cyanide levels of 0.011 mg/L and the treatment with 0.1 ppm KCN concentration decreased cyanide levels of 0.025 mg/L. The survival rate of the mussel during the research process was 100%, because there were no local dead mussels found. The best daily growth rate was in treatment 3 with 0.1 ppm KCN concentration of 2.3%.

Abstract

One of the census data is the number of dengue cases where to model the data can be done using poisson regression. Poisson regression has an assumptions that must be met, namely the average value dan variance must be the same or colled (equidispersion). But, in this study, the data experienced a violation in ehich the variance value was greater than the average value or colled (overdispersion). To overcome thie problem by using the mixed poisson method, namely poisson inverse gaussian regression for count data that is overdispersed and has a likelihood function that is cloce form, that is the parameters are know, so many researchers use this model. The number of DBD cases in Riau Province is counting data that has overdispersion. So therefore, to model the number of cases of DBD using poisson inverse gaussian regression. Based on the model used, it shows the factors that influence the number of dengue cases in Riau Province in 2019, namely the number of health facilities.

Abstract

The existence of orchids is often threatened with extinction that can be caused by natural damage. In addition, the continuous harvesting of orchids from nature without considering its sustainability can threaten the extinction of orchids in a region. There is a need for knowledge about the diversity of orchids so that it can be the basis of conservation in a region specifically nature reserve and Nature Park Bogor. Research using transect methods and data collection conducted using field observation techniques. The observation area consists of three locations altitude: 1400, 1500 and 1600 m above sea level . There are 27 species of orchids consisting of 19 genera. From the calculation of important value index (INP), the dominating type is found at altitude 1400 and 1500 m above sea level is Ceratostylis crassifolia, While at height and 1600 m DPL is Liparis compressa. Index diversity of type in the research site with a height of 1400 m DPL is moderate and at an altitude of 1500 and 1600 m DPL is high. The spread index is known that the pattern of spreading orchid species in three research locations has a clumped group spread pattern.
