Abstract

Broccoli is one of the prospective horticultural products to be developed, beside it has a good nutrition for health, broccoli also hasan interesting physical form. Broccoli is generally preferred by consumers of modern market, sold as fresh with adjust table size with consumer demand. On the other hand, broccoli has aperishable nature, with an unique morphological characteristics. Modern market demand requires a certainspec for broccoli, it cause farmers had tochange the way they do in their  business, so that their products are well received by the modern market. There fore, this study aims to determine the entrepreneurial orientation offarmersso it canmeet the demand ofbroccolito themodernmarket. Broccoli’s Farmer has a high entrepreneurial spirit, as seen from the orientation of farmers in view the future. Farmers see the modern market as an alternative market with a huge potential market in the future, so that the farmers do a variety of creative effort to make their business performance more efficiently so it can serve the  modern market better. The method usedinthisstudyis thecase studies method, theanalysis techniqueused isdescriptive qualitativeanalysis. Research shows that broccoli farmers as an entrepreneur has an unique characteristics and valuesin running their business. Broccoli farmes entrepreneurial orientation in Kecamatan Lembang emphasizes the creation of business innovation, always doing to do the improvement process of their supply chain product, namely with implementing strategies for business collaboration with other actors in the broccoli supply chain. They also always proactivein receivinga request from the modern market as an alternative market for their business, so their businesses can be more competitive and be able to runcontinuously.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh cara yang paling tepat guna mempercepat perkecambahan benih jarak dan untuk mempelajari pengaruh kombinasi konsentrasi dan lamanya perendaman pada larutan asam sulfat terhadap viabilitas dan vigor serta pertumbuhan benih jarak di persemaian. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di laboratorium benih dan di kebun produksi tanaman Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Winaya Mukti Tanjungsari, Sumedang dengan ketinggian tempat 850 meter dari permukaan laut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni 2011 sampai dengan bulan Agustus 2011. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 18 kombinasi perlakuan dan dua ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari : A= direndam pada air aquades selama 1 menit, B= direndam air aquades selama 2 menit, C=direndam air aquades selama 3 menit, D=direndam aquades selama 4 menit, E=direndam aquades selama 5 menit, F= direndam aquades selama 6 menit, G=direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,1% selama 1 menit, H= direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,1% selama 2 menit, I= direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,1% selama 3 menit, J= direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,1% selama 4 menit, K= direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,1% selama 1 menit, L= direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,1% selama 6 menit, M= direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,5 % selama 1 menit, N= direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,5 % selama 2 menit, O=direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,5 % selama 3 menit, P=direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,5 % selama  4 menit, Q= direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,5 % selama 5 menit, R= direndam  konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,5 % selama 6 menit. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi konsentrasi dan lama perendaman pada larutan asam sulfat berpengaruh terhadap daya kecambah benih dan kecepatan tumbuh benih serta pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman umur 24 HST dan jumlah daun pada umur 17 HST, 24 HST, 31 HST, 38 HST dan 45 HST.  Konsentrasi asam sulfat 0,1 % dan 0,5 % dengan berbagai waktu perendaman meningkatkan daya kecambah benih jarak, dengan kecepatan tumbuh yang lebih baik pada lama perendaman 2 menitsampai 6 menit dan memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap jumlah daun per tanaman dengan perlakuan terbaik ditunjukkan pada perlakuan konsentrasi 0,5% dengan waktu perendaman selama 6 menit.

Abstract

The objectives of this experiment was to study the interaction between NAA and alginate concentrations on growth and shelf life of Chrysanthemum morifolium Rahmat Syn. Micro cutting in capsule. Design of this experiment used Randomized Block Design with two factors and two replication. The first factor wa concentration of NAA consisted of three levels (0.00 ppm, 0.10 ppm, and 0,15 ppm) and the second factor was concentration of alginate consisted of four levels (1.5%, 2%, 2.5% and 3.0%).the result of experiment showed that interaction among concentration of NAA and alginate on capsule texture, plant weight, leaves number, leaves weight, and shelf life of plant in capsule. There was no interaction between concentration of NAA and alginate on percentage of green capsules, percentage of micro cutting shoot growth, and percentage of capability of shoot growth break through capsule. Optimum concentration for plant weight was 0.1281 ppm NAA and 2.4671% alginate, with maximum weight was 0.0145 grams. Optimum concentration for shelf life of micro cutting in capsule was 0.1191 ppm NAA and 2.8071% alginate, with maximum shelf life was 5.9541 days.

Abstract

The experiment was conducted at Faculty of Agriculture UNWIM Tanjungsari - Sumedang, at the altitude of 850 m above sea level (asl) with ground Andisol orders from February to April 2008. The purpose of an experiment to study the effect of the interaction between the concentration of coco water immersion ata dose NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of melon varieties Action 434. The experimental design used was a randomized block design factorial design consisting of two factors and repeated twice. The first factor is the concentration of water immersion coco (k), which consists of five levels, namely: k0 = 0%, 25% = k1, k2 = 50%, k3 = 75%, and k4 = 100%. The second factor is the dose of NPK fertilizer (d),which consists of four levels, namely: d0 = 0 g plant-1, d1 = 10 g plant-1, d2 = 20 g plant, and d3 = 30 g plant-1. The results showed that there is an interaction effect between the concentration of coco water immersion at a dose of NPK fertilizer to the plants age 20 DAT (days after transplanting) and 30 DAT, as well as the number of leaves at the age of 30 DAT. Coco water immersion at a concentration of 25% gives a better effect on the variable length of the plant, number of leaves, fruit weight per plant, and the quality of the fruit skin. Coco water immersion at a concentration of 50% gives better effect on thevariable sweetness of the fruit flesh. Without dosing NPK fertilizer already gives a better effect on the variable length of the plant, number of leaves, fruit weight per plant, diameter of fruit per plant, and the thickness of the flesh of the fruit. NPK fertilizer dose of 10 g plant-1 give better effect to the variable length of the plant, number of leaves, fruit weight per plant, diameter of fruit per plant, the thickness of the flesh of the fruit, the sweetness of the fruit, and the quality of the fruit skin.

Abstract

Sweet potato and jackfruit seeds are local resources that can grow well in tropical climate of Indonesia that has a high level of productivity. Thus, food diversification program through the use of local resources is expected to address people's reliance on products of flour-based noodles. This study is divided into three main stages, namely formula optimization, analysis, and organoleptic. Optimization stage formula begins by determining the maximum and minimum points substitution of each flour. For jackfruit seed flour, sweet potato flour and wheat flour made wet noodle-making with the level of substitution of 10% to 80%. Analysis of the product consists of a physical analysis ie water absorption in the range of 8.5% to 9.5%. Chemical analysis of water content with the result of 0.83% to 0.97%, Abu 0.0087 to 0.0094 levels, protein content of 8.5% to 9.5%, fat content of 0.0075 to 0.0084, starch 27.74 until 27.78, crude fiber 0.02 to 0.07, and a yield of 1 to 1.7. The solution formula with the most optimal response,ie wet noodle formula with 33.33% jackfruit seed flour, sweet potato flour 33.33%, 33.33% wheat flour

Abstract

Suatu pengkajian empiris tentang LKM pertanian yang dikemukakan oleh penelitian sebelumnya dari Rahmat Hendayana dan Sjahrul  Bustaman (2009) yang berjutuan untuk mengetahui kinerja LKM dalam perspektif pembangunan ekonomi pedesaan telah dilakukan di Jawa dan luar Jawa pada awal tahun 2007 melalui pendekatan pemahaman pedesaan secara partisipatif menggunkan metode group interview melibatkan pengurus dan pengguna LKM. pada tahun 2010 dilakukan penelitian lagi dengan topik yang relatif hampir sama, yaitu dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis deskriptif kualitatif terhadap LKM, diperoleh gambaran sebagai berikut :  a0. kebberadaan LKM diakui masyarakat memiliki peran strategis sebagai intermediasi aktivitas perekonomian yang selama ini bersama-sama dengan lembaga perbankan umum/bank konvensional, jadi ternyata saat ini lembaga perbankan sudah mulai masuk ke pedesaan dalam meningkatkan perekonomian pedesaan terutama bank BRI dan BPR; b) secara faktual pelayanan LKM telah menunjukkan keberhasilan, serta keberhasilannya sudah masuk pada usaha-usaha ekonomi pertanian disamping non pertanian. Skim perkreditan LKM untuk usahatani sudah mendapat prioritas, hal itu ditandai oleh meningkatnya plafon (alokasi dana) untuk mendukung usahatani, yakni sudah mencapai 10% terhadap total plafon LKM; c) Faktor kritis dalam pengembangan LKM sektor pertanian terletak pada aspek legalitas kelembagaan, kapabilitas pengurus, dukungan seed capital, kelayakan ekonomi usahatani, karakteristik usahatanidan bimbingan teknis nasabah/pengguna jasa layanan LKM; d0 untuk memprakarsai penumbuhan dan pengembangan LKM pertanian diperlukan adanya pembinaan peningkatan kapabilitasbagi SDM calon pengelola LKM, dukungan penguatan modal dan pendampingan teknis kepada nasabah pengguna kredit, serta bermitra dengan perbankan untuk meningkatkan pelayanan terhadap masyarakat. LKM dapat menjadi perpanjangan dari Perbankan yang besar.

Abstract

In the development of modern agriculture based on location specification agriculture, to increase the production of white oyster mushrooms, requires able to utilize alternative natural resources that are easy to obtain and efficient.The research was conducted with the aim to study and get the concentration of alternative nutrient types that can provide the highest production of white oyster mushroom in Karawang regency. Based on the purpose, this research is verifikatif.The method used is experimental method and experiment design used is single factor randomized block design (RAK) consisting of 17 treatments in 3 repetitions : A (100% Aquades Concentration); B (20% Leri Water Concentration); C (40% Leri Water Concentration); D (60% Leri Water Concentration); E (80% Leri Water Concentration); F (20% Potato Skin Extract Concentration); G (40% Potato Skin Extract Concentration); H (60% Potato Skin Extract Concentration); I (80% Potato Skin Extract Concentration); J (20% Bean Sprouts Extract Concentration); K (40% Bean Sprouts Extract Concentration); L (60% Bean Sprouts Extract Concentration); M (80% Bean Sprouts Extract Concentration); N (20% Old Coconut Water Concentration); O (40% Old Coconut Water Concentration); P (60% Old Coconut Water Concentration); Q (80% Old Coconut Water Concentration). The effect of treatment was analyzed by F test of 5% level and if significant, then to know the best treatment was continued with Duncan Multiple Range Test at 5% real level.The results achieved from this research is the application of various types of concentrations of alternative nutrients have a real effect on total clumps per baglog, total hood per clumps, maximum hood diameter per baglog, harvest intensity per baglog, dry weight of mushrooms per baglog, and fresh weight of mushrooms per baglog white oyster mushroom in Karawang regency. 80% concentration of leri water is able to give the highest growth and yield of white oyster mushroom in Karawang regency, with fresh weight of mushroom reach 142,35 gr per baglog per week or 0,85 tons per 1000 baglog in one plant period (6 MSA).

Abstract

Rubber is one of main commodities of plantation crops that numerously developed in various districts in Indonesia. The role of the plant is strategic in human life in line with the increasing demand of world rubber. The optimum production increament of the rubber plant begins with the selection of a superior clone and the use of quality seeds. Fertilizing as a means of providing soil nutrients to plants should also be taken carefully.  One of the fertilization is by the provision of organic fertilizers in the form of washed rice water. This research aims to find out the effect of washed rice water in a different volume and frequency applied as organic fertilizer on the growth of rubber seedling GT1 clone.The experiment wasconductedfrom September 2011 toJanuary2012 atthe Experimental Station of Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Padjadjaran. The experiment was arranged inRandomized Block Designed, with 9 treatments and 3 replications, thus there are 27 units of the experiment. The treatments were providing 100 ml  washed rice water with frequency of 3 days, 100 ml washed rice water with frequency of 5 days, 100 washed ml rice water with frequency of 7 days, 300 ml washed rice water with frequency of 3 days, 300 ml washed rice water with frequency of 5 days, 300 ml washed rice water with frequency of 7 days, 500 ml washed rice water with frequency of 3 days, 500 mL washed rice water with frequency of 5 days, and 500 ml washed rice water with frequency of 7 days. The results of the experiment showed that by providing 500 ml washed rice water with frequency of 3 days gave the best increament for stem height and diameter on rubber seedling GT1 clone.

Abstract

Horticulture is one of the sub-sectors in agriculture that have the potential to be developed asit has a high economic value. One of the featured plants that have good prospects for development in Indonesia is the chrysanthemum. In the process of cultivation of chrysanthemums, required skills and intensive treatment of the chrysanthemum. therefore at high risk of cultivation process. PT Alam Indah Bunga Nusantara is one of the companies engaged in the agribusiness plants located in West Java. The purpose of this research was to determine factors that will influence the risk in chrysanthemum cut flower farm, to determine the extent of risk management which conducted in PT Alam Indah Bunga Nusantara, and know the strategies to improve risk conducted in PT Alam Indah Bunga Nusantara. The study design used was a qualitative design using FMEA analysis (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis). Engineering research is tostudy the case. The result was the risks faced in PT Alam Indah Bunga Nusantara is the weather and the climate change problem that occurs is uncertain. In addition, pests and diseases is also a risk that must be covered by the company. This can lead to a lot of things that could detrimental to the company in the business of chrysanthemums. In addition to natural factors, uncertainty in consumer tastes is a cause of risk faced by PT Alam Indah Bunga Nusantara. The new effort conducted by PT Alam Indah Bunga Nusantara in improving the quality of human resources in the company is to conduct junior secondary education program. The strategy must do for PT Alam Indah Bunga Nusantara for improve the risk is repair the greenhouse to be more optimized than previous, adding a thermostat in the greenhouse.

Abstract

The use of marketing concept philosophy in a company's program is not just an effort of those who are given the responsibility of sales and marketing, but an endeavor attempted by everyone in an organization. Requirements needed for consumer-oriented organizational development include some activities i.e. inculcating consumer-oriented values and beliefs which are supported by top management, integrating markets and consumers into the process of strategic planning, creating marketing management & developing a strong program, creating a basic measurement of performance on the basis of markets, and developing commitment to consumers throughout the organization.
