Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how accounting comprehension, learning motivation, and teaching quality can affect the academic achievement of accounting students in Yogyakarta. The research methodology used is quantitative with a causal associative approach. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 160 respondents who were accounting students from 11 universities in Yogyakarta. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 25. The results showed that accounting comprehension, learning motivation, and teaching quality had a positive and significant effect on academic achievement, both partially and simultaneously. This indicates that the higher the level of accounting comprehension, learning motivation, and teaching quality received by students, the better their academic achievement. Thus, improving teaching quality and strengthening learning motivation are important factors in supporting the academic success of accounting students in higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of financial literacy, entrepreneurial creativity, and risk tolerance on sales turnover of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at Beringharjo Market, Yogyakarta. This quantitative study used a questionnaire distributed to MSME owners in the market as a data collection technique. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to test the effect of each variable on sales turnover. Hypothesis testing was supported by IBM SSPS 25. The results indicate that financial literacy, entrepreneurial creativity, and risk tolerance have a positive and significant influence on MSME turnover. Simultaneously, these three variables explain the variation in sales turnover, while the remaining is influenced by other factors not examined. Based on these findings, the study recommends the importance of improving financial literacy, creativity, and risk tolerance for MSMEs to increase sales turnover. This study also suggests that future research expand the variables and research objects and use more varied data collection methods to obtain a more comprehensive picture.

Abstract

Investors need to understand the performance of the Treynor, Sharpe, and Jensen indexes to assess the performance of their stock portfolios. The objective of this study is to empirically examine the effect of the Treynor, Sharpe, and Jensen indexes on dividend policy in December and January 2021-2025. The research method used is quantitative multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS 22 statistical tools. The benefit of this study is to develop portfolio management research. Results show that there is a significant difference between the Sharpe, Treynor, Jensen Index and the December Dividend. there is a significant difference between the Sharpe, Treynor, Jensen Index and the January Dividend. The results for January and December indicate that the stock performance indices—Treynor, Jensen, and Sharpe—have a significant influence on dividend policy. The higher the value of each index, the greater the company's tendency to increase dividend policy. This indicates that companies tend to use risk-adjusted performance as a basis for dividend distribution decisions.

Abstract

This study analyses the influence of spiritual beliefs, peer pressure, and Sharia financial literacy on the investment interest of FEBI UINSU students in the Sharia capital market. Using a quantitative approach with SmartPLS, the results demonstrate that all three variables have a positive and significant impact. Sharia financial literacy emerged as the dominant factor (t=3.835; p=0.000), followed by religiosity (t=3.353; p=0.001) and peer influence (t=3.322; p=0.001). An adjusted R-squared value of 0.634 indicates that these independent variables account for 63.4% of the variation in students' investment interest. This confirms that the synergy between Islamic values, social interaction, and financial understanding is key to their involvement in Sharia investment.

Abstract

Sharia insurance in Indonesia is growing rapidly and plays an important role in the Islamic financial system and the national economy. This study aims to examine the role of sharia insurance in supporting Indonesia's economic growth from financial, social, and Islamic value perspectives. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with 16 journal articles (2021-2025). The results show that sharia insurance contributes in three ways: as a risk protector stabilizing the micro-economy of households and MSMEs, as a collector and distributor of productive funds to the real sector and State Sukuk, and as a driver of financial inclusion and the achievement of SDGs. To optimize its contribution, strong governance, consistent regulations, spin-off of sharia business units, product innovation, integration with the real sector, and improved digital literacy are needed. Future research may examine linkages with MSMEs, the halal industry, and policy effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the investment performance of sharia stocks and ANTAM gold based on return and risk levels during the 2023–2025 period. The methodology used is a quantitative approach with a descriptive-comparative research model. The research data consists of the weekly closing prices of sharia stocks included in the Indonesia Sharia Stock Index, namely AALI, ACES, and ABMM, as well as the price of ANTAM gold. Data processing was conducted by calculating returns and risk using standard deviation, followed by the Jarque–Bera normality test, the Augmented Dickey–Fuller (ADF) stationarity test, the independent samples t-test, and volatility analysis using the GARCH (1,1) model. The results of the study indicate that there is no significant difference in return levels between sharia stocks and ANTAM gold. However, sharia stocks have higher risk and volatility levels compared to gold. These findings indicate that gold tends to be more stable as a hedging instrument, while sharia stocks offer greater return potential with the consequence of higher risk. The results of this study recommend portfolio diversification between sharia stocks and gold, and can serve as a reference for regulators. Further research is suggested to expand the study period and variables.
