Abstract

Application of the Make a Match learning method using paired cards containing questions and answers to increase students' active learning. The purpose of this study is to explain how the Make a Match learning approach is used to improve class V students' active learning in mathematics classes at SD N Trangsan 1. Class action research (PTK) is employed in this study. Planning, action, observation, and reflection are the four steps in each cycle of the Kemmis & McTaggart model that is being used. 17 students participated in the two rounds of this research in class V. Tests (formative tests) and non-tests (observations) were used to gather data. Based on the findings of the study activities conducted in the classroom, it can be said that the Make a Match approach to learning can boost students' engagement in mathematics. The average learning activity at SD N Trangsan 1 increased, namely in the pre-cycle 49,93% (very poor category), in cycle 1 it was 69,33% (enough category). After improvements were made from cycle 1 reflection, student learning activity in cycle II increased to 86,66% (very good category).

Abstract

This study is motivated by the reality that currently students' high-level thinking skills have not been achieved and their learning motivation is low. Even though students are expected to be able to overcome their difficulties with the help of 4C skills. Low motivation to learn is undoubtedly an important problem in education, where educators must take a leading position. Teachers should incorporate more activities into the classroom. The approach or model used by the teacher clearly has an impact on student actions. If teachers involve students in lessons, they will study harder, and vice versa. The aim of this research is to increase student learning motivation with the PBL model assisted by PPT media. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK) with research subjects of 24 class 2D students at SDIT Nur Hidayah. This research shows that the PBL model assisted by PPT media can increase students' learning motivation. The first cycle has a percentage value of 60%. Meanwhile, cycle II has a percentage value of 74%. Therefore, there was an increase from cycle I to cycle II, namely 14%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the increase in mathematical literacy in students by using the steam approach with a live worksheet based inquiry learning model. This research was carried out at SD N Trosemi 2 in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year with a total of 29 students. This research was conducted in two cycles. The data collection methods in this research are test and observation. Data analysis techniques using qualitative data are based on increasing the average mathematical literacy ability of students as an indicator of research success. The results of research in the pre-cycle showed that the average mathematical literacy of students was 49.54% with poor criteria, in cycle I there was an increase, namely getting an average of 65.5% with good criteria and in cycle II getting an average of 86. 45% with very good criteria. Thus, it can be concluded that using the inquiry learning model assisted by live worksheets using the Steam approach can increase mathematical literacy in students.

Abstract

Based on initial observations, it was found that there was a problem in the form of low discipline and student learning outcomes, and reward and punishment had not been implemented yet. The study was conducted with the aim of improving discipline and student learning outcomes in mathematics, focusing on the subject of time for 1st grade students at SD Muahmamdiyah 22 Sruni Surakarta, with a total of 18 students. The activities were carried out in 2 cycles, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data acquisition techniques included observation and written tests. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. It was found that discipline improved overall, with a percentage of 46.7% in the pre-cycle, increasing to 71.1% in cycle 1, and further increasing to 87.8% in cycle 2. Meanwhile, student learning outcomes showed an improvement, with a mastery rate of 33.3% and an average score of 58.9 in the pre-cycle, increasing to 55.6% and an average score of 65 in cycle 1, and further increasing to 83.3% with an average score of 86.7 in cycle 2. The data obtained indicate that the implementation of reward and punishment can improve both discipline and student learning outcomes in mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using the STAD cooperative learning model in enhancing students' cooperation in the Indonesian language subject. The method used is classroom action research consisting of two cycles with Kemmis and McTaggart design. The subjects of this study are 16 second-grade students at SD Negeri Trangsan 01. Data were collected through observation and interviews, then analyzed descriptively quantitatively and descriptively qualitatively. The results show that the average learning activity of students increased from 54% (less category) in the pre-cycle to 69% (sufficient category) in cycle I. After improvements based on the reflection of cycle I, students' learning activity in cycle II increased to 80% (good category). Therefore, it can be concluded that the STAD cooperative learning model has proven to be effective in enhancing students' cooperation in learning Indonesian. This learning model can be one of the options for teachers to improve students' cooperative attitudes in learning Indonesian.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find a solution to the problem of low learning outcomes and the level of student activeness which is 60% still below KKM and has not been completed for fraction material. The learning method used is the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type learning model. This research is part of Classroom Action Research (PTK), which uses two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II to assess the application of TGT. Planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting on the learning process are part of each cycle. Students who acted as subjects of grade V students of SDN Kleco 1 Surakarta amounted to 28 students. Data were collected by observation, tests and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive, qualitative, and comparative. The data shows that the increase in student involvement and learning outcomes can be done by using a cooperative learning model with the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) format. grade V SDN Kleco 1 Surakarta the level of student activeness increased by 19.9% in cycle I 68.4% increased in cycle II to 88.3%. The class average score for students in grade V increased along with their learning outcomes in math. In cycle I 59.1 and cycle II 82.5, Regarding learning completeness, the percentage of students who are complete (80%) has been in accordance with the estimated performance indicators. The improvement in learning outcomes occurred because before learning in groups, the teacher presented the roles to each student and emphasized to them the importance of collaborating to achieve a common goal.

Abstract

In 21st-century learning, collaborative skills are essential for effective education. Collaboration inherently leads to improved student learning outcomes. To enhance collaboration and learning results, appropriate instructional models are necessary. This study aims to improve collaboration and learning outcomes in the subject of IPAS for fourth-grade students using the STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) cooperative learning model. The subjects were 27 students from grade IV at SD Muhammadiyah 23 Semanggi, Surakarta, comprising 17 males and 10 females. The research employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, conducted over two cycles, involving planning, implementation, observation, and reflection in each cycle. Data were collected through observation sheets on the learning process, cooperation, and tests. Quantitative descriptive analysis was applied to the data. Results indicate a notable improvement in student collaboration, rising from 70.36% in Cycle I to 82.03% in Cycle II, reflecting an 11.67% increase. Learning outcomes also improved significantly, with pre-cycle average scores at 56.30 and only 14.81% of students achieving proficiency. By Cycle I, the average score increased to 76.30, with 66.67% of students achieving proficiency. In Cycle II, the average score further rose to 82.96, with 81.48% of students achieving proficiency. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of the STAD cooperative learning model enbances both collaboration and learning outcomes in IPAS for fourth-grade students in elementary school.

Abstract

This study is an action research triggered by the absence of a spirit of cooperation among students during the learning process in class VI of SD Negeri Kleco 1 Surakarta. Its focus is to explore the impact of implementing a problem-based learning model with team games tournaments on enhancing students' cooperative attitudes and learning achievements. Conducted in class VI D of SDN Kleco 1 Surakarta in the first semester of the academic year 2023/2024 with the participation of 27 students, this research was carried out in two phases. Data collection utilized observation, tests, and documentation methods, with analysis combining qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results indicated that during the pre-cycle stage, students' cooperative attitudes were not observed (0%), with a learning achievement rate of 29.62%. However, in Cycle I, there was a significant improvement, with cooperative attitudes reaching 33% and learning achievement increasing to 59.25%. Cycle II showed further improvement, with cooperative attitudes reaching 63% and learning achievement reaching 100%. This improvement signifies the success of the learning model in enhancing students' cooperative attitudes and learning achievements. In conclusion, the application of problem-based learning (PBL) with teams games tournaments (TGT) can effectively enhance students' cooperative attitudes and learning achievements.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the application of extracurricular musical arts in forming an attitude of love for the country in students at SD Negeri 5 Karangrowo Undaan Kudus. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. This research was carried out at SD Negeri 5 Karangrowo Undaan Kudus in March – April 2024. Data was collected through interviews with musical arts teachers, students who took part in musical arts extracurriculars, and students' parents, as well as participatory observation and documentation studies. The data analysis uses include data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the extracurricular application of musical arts is effective in forming an attitude of love for the country in students, by strengthening cultural identity, forming attitudes of ownership and responsibility, as well as the influence of a positive school and family environment. The conclusion of this research emphasizes the importance of supporting extracurricular musical arts programs as a means of forming an attitude of love for the country in students.

Abstract

The research is motivated by low level of critical thinking skills and independent attitudes of students in mathematics learning. Because teachers do not vary learning models so that learning seems boring. This is also related to students who tend not to listen while learning is taking place. As a result, students, when learning, are not yet fully able to analyze existing questions and this has an impact on students' low critical thinking skills, as well as working on evaluation questions collaboratively so they are easily dependent on other people. Research conducted to improve students' critical thinking skills and independent attitudes in mathematics learning using the Classroom Action Research method. In this research, observation, interviews and tests were used in the data collection process. In this research, two cycles were carried out on 33 class V students at SDN Ngadirejo 3. In the cycle I, average student obtained 62,65% and go up to 79,96% in cycle II. Apart from that, the independent attitude of each student also increased from 21 to 29 students in working on evaluation questions independently. Can be concluded that applying PBL model in mathematics subjects regarding perimeter and area of flat shapes can go up critical thinking skills and independent attitudes.
