Abstract

Religion and culture are closely interconnected aspects of human society. In Islam, religious teachings originate from the Qur'an and Sunnah as normative foundations, while religious practices develop within diverse socio-cultural contexts. Therefore, anthropology has become an important approach in Islamic Studies because it enables scholars to understand how Islamic teachings are interpreted, practiced, and transformed within different cultural settings. This article aims to examine the role of anthropological approaches in understanding religion from a cultural perspective and their contribution to contemporary Islamic Studies. This study employs a qualitative library research method by analyzing the Qur'an, Hadith, classical and contemporary tafsir, anthropological literature, and recent scholarly publications. Data were analyzed using content analysis. The findings indicate that anthropological approaches provide significant contributions to explaining the interaction between religious texts and social realities. Anthropology enriches Islamic Studies by offering contextual, empirical, and culturally sensitive perspectives without neglecting the normative foundations of Islam. Furthermore, this approach supports the development of moderate, inclusive, and adaptive Islamic scholarship in responding to contemporary social and technological changes.

Abstract

The accuracy of diagnostic codes refers to the proper classification of diseases according to ICD-10; a code is considered accurate if it complies with the applicable classification rules. This study employed a qualitative research design, utilizing the following data collection methods: interviews—from which the researcher obtained information—direct field observations, a review of documentation, and the use of a checklist for patient referral documents. The results included 44 patient referral documents from 2022–2024; of these, 26 (59%) medical records were found to be accurate, while 18 (41%) were inaccurate. Upon reviewing the inaccuracies through the 5M framework (Man, Money, Method, Material, Machine), it was found that the individuals coding patient diagnoses lacked a medical records background, had not received coding training, there were no specific SOPs regarding patient referrals, and they still relied on Google for assistance when encountering new cases. There is a need to improve the quality of diagnostic coding accuracy and to conduct periodic coding audits to address potential inaccuracies in diagnostic codes, ensuring greater consistency and accuracy in the future and enhancing existing quality standards.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of infrastructure and accessibility on the level of satisfaction of paragliding sport tourism tourists at Bukit Salena, Palu City, Central Sulawesi. Infrastructure and accessibility are important factors in the development of tourist destinations because they affect the comfort, safety, and experience of tourists during tourism activities. Bukit Salena as one of the sport tourism destinations has great potential for development, so it is necessary to evaluate the condition of the available infrastructure and accessibility. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sampling technique used accidental sampling, with a total of 20 respondents who have paragliding activities at Bukit Salena. Data collection was carried out through distributing questionnaires using a Likert scale, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis in the form of percentages to describe the level of tourist satisfaction with infrastructure and accessibility. The results showed that the level of tourist satisfaction with infrastructure and accessibility at Bukit Salena was in the very good category. A total of 13 respondents (65%) gave a very good rating, 6 respondents (30%) gave a good rating, and 1 respondent (5%) gave a poor rating. These results indicate that the existing infrastructure and accessibility provide a sense of safety and comfort, and support tourist activities during paragliding at Salena Hill. However, improvements are still needed in several aspects, such as the quality of the road leading to the site, the completeness of public facilities, and the maintenance of supporting infrastructure to continuously enhance tourist satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of overtraining on the mental condition of Taekwondo athletes at Jeonstugi Tadulako Club, Palu City. The research problem addressed was how overtraining affects the athletes’ mental condition during the intensive training period preceding competitions. This study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The informants consisted of 10 participants, comprising 8 Taekwondo athletes as the main informants and 2 coaches as supporting informants, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured in-depth interviews, audio/video recording, and documentation, and were validated through source and technique triangulation. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings show that training intensity increased substantially as competitions approached, causing most athletes to experience physical fatigue accompanied by mental pressure such as nervousness, tension, and psychological burden. Nevertheless, these conditions did not diminish the athletes’ motivation or concentration during training and competition; several athletes reported that pressure before competition even strengthened their motivation. Athletes applied various recovery strategies, including cooling down, adequate rest, regular sleep patterns, nutritious food intake, and sufficient fluid consumption, while coaches played an important role in designing training programs, monitoring athletes’ conditions, providing motivation, and maintaining both the physical and mental well-being of the athletes. It is concluded that overtraining does affect the mental condition of Taekwondo athletes, but its negative impact can be minimized through appropriate training-load management, optimal recovery practices, and continuous psychosocial support from coaches.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of Islamic education through the habituation of a clean and healthy lifestyle among students at Raudlatul Ulum 2 Islamic Boarding School. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method to gain an in-depth understanding of the implementation of the program. The participants of this study consisted of the boarding school caretaker, administrators, female teachers (ustazah), and students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the habituation of a clean and healthy lifestyle is implemented through various routine activities, such as daily cleaning duties, communal cleaning activities (ro'an), maintaining the cleanliness of dormitory rooms and the boarding school environment, enforcing cleanliness regulations, and promoting healthy living habits. These programs are not only intended to create a clean, healthy, and comfortable environment but also serve as a means of instilling Islamic educational values in the students’ daily lives. Through these activities, students develop discipline, responsibility, cooperation, environmental awareness, and an understanding that cleanliness is an integral part of Islamic teachings. The success of the program is supported by clear boarding school regulations, the active role of administrators in guidance and supervision, the availability of adequate sanitation facilities, and strong cooperation among students. However, several challenges remain, including the low awareness of some students, differences in habits before entering the boarding school, and the large number of students, which makes supervision less optimal. Therefore, the clean and healthy lifestyle habituation program at Raudlatul Ulum 2 Islamic Boarding School has proven to make a positive contribution to the development of students’ character based on Islamic educational values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the form of legal protection for workers who do not have a written employment agreement and the responsibilities of employers based on Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower. The research method used is normative legal research with a statute approach and a conceptual approach. The data used are in the form of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials analyzed qualitatively through literature studies. The results of the study indicate that even though the employment relationship is not made in the form of a written employment agreement, workers still receive legal protection as long as they have fulfilled the elements of an employment relationship, namely the existence of work, wages, and orders. Based on the provisions of Law Number 13 of 2003, an employment relationship that is not stated in a written employment agreement, especially a Fixed-Term Employment Agreement (PKWT), can be considered an Indefinite-Term Employment Agreement (PKWTT). Employers remain responsible for fulfilling workers' normative rights, such as payment of wages, employment social security, working hours, leave, occupational safety and health protection, and the provision of severance pay in the event of termination of employment in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations. Thus, the existence of a written employment agreement provides legal certainty for both parties. However, the absence of a written employment agreement does not eliminate the employer's obligation to provide legal protection and fulfill workers' rights as stipulated in laws and regulations.

Abstract

The increasing adoption of algorithmic pricing in online markets has transformed pricing strategies by enabling businesses to adjust prices dynamically based on real-time data and market conditions. While these technologies improve operational efficiency and market responsiveness, they also raise significant competition law concerns, particularly regarding the potential for tacit collusion facilitated by pricing algorithms. Despite these emerging risks, existing competition regulations do not specifically govern the use of algorithmic pricing, creating regulatory uncertainty and enforcement challenges. This study employs a qualitative socio-legal approach through literature review, interviews, and direct observation to examine the legal implications of algorithmic pricing practices in online markets. The findings reveal that although the use of pricing algorithms has become increasingly prevalent, legal awareness among stakeholders remains limited. Furthermore, current regulatory frameworks are insufficient to address the unique characteristics of algorithm-driven pricing, making effective oversight and enforcement difficult. This study contributes to the existing literature by identifying the regulatory gaps surrounding algorithmic pricing and proposing a legal framework that emphasizes algorithm-specific regulation, enhanced supervisory capacity, and transparency obligations for business actors and digital platforms. These findings provide practical recommendations for policymakers seeking to balance technological innovation with fair market competition in the digital economy.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) play a significant role in developing students’ religious competencies, particularly their ability to read the Qur’an. Proficiency in Qur’anic recitation serves as a fundamental basis for understanding Islamic teachings and fostering students’ religious character. Achieving this competence requires well-planned, systematic, and sustainable instructional strategies. This study was conducted at the RTQ of Darul ‘Ulum Islamic Boarding School in Seputih Banyak, Central Lampung, an institution dedicated to improving students’ Qur’anic reading skills. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using field research methods. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings revealed that the teachers (asatidz) implemented instructional strategies encompassing the organization, delivery, and management of Qur’anic reading instruction. These strategies included systematically structured learning materials, a combination of classical and individual teaching methods with direct corrective feedback, the creation of a conducive learning environment, and collaboration with students’ parents or guardians. The implementation of these strategies contributed to improvements in students’ reading fluency, accuracy of makhraj (pronunciation), understanding of tajwid rules, as well as their discipline and self-confidence. Therefore, the instructional strategies implemented at the RTQ of Darul ‘Ulum Islamic Boarding School have proven effective in enhancing students’ Qur’anic reading abilities.
