Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Fiqh learning in enhancing students’ awareness of worship at a Madrasah Tsanawiyah (Islamic junior secondary school). Fiqh learning plays a strategic role in shaping students’ religious character, particularly in understanding and practicing worship in accordance with Islamic teachings. This research employed a qualitative approach, with data collected through observations, interviews, and documentation studies. The implementation of Fiqh learning was examined through three indicators: lesson planning, instructional implementation, and learning evaluation. The research participants consisted of the school principal, Fiqh teachers, and seventh-grade students. The findings reveal that effective implementation of Fiqh learning involves the use of various instructional methods, including lectures, discussions, case studies, and direct practice of worship activities. Supporting factors that contribute to the success of the learning process include a conducive learning environment and effective communication skills. The study concludes that interactive and experience-based Fiqh learning can significantly improve students’ awareness of worship. Therefore, innovative learning strategies, improved teaching quality, and strong collaboration among schools, families, and communities are essential for creating a supportive environment that fosters the development of students’ religious character.

Abstract

Communication is one of the most important aspects of human life. Without communication, interaction would not occur. Growth and development in early childhood are crucial because during this period—particularly between 0 and 12 months of age—children experience rapid growth and development. The purpose of this study is to determine the benefits of communication and motor development in enhancing physical activity based on a systematic literature review. The study employed the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The database used to search for literature was Google Scholar. The results were presented by evaluating the quality of the documents in detail and in accordance with the scope of the study. Six relevant articles were identified out of 25 related articles. Based on search results aligned with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, engaging in physical activity can improve mental health. The documents sought in this study were those published within the last 10 years in nationally indexed Sinta journals and available as open access. Based on the results and discussion, the conclusion of this study states that exercise can improve motor development and communication.

Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct the integration of religious moderation, Panca Cinta (Love), and national values in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. The background of this study is based on the still partial approach to PAI learning that tends to separate the spiritual, social, and national dimensions. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research, which analyzes various primary and secondary sources related to religious moderation, the concept of mahabbah in Islam, and national values in the Indonesian context. The results show that religious moderation functions as an epistemological framework, Panca Cinta as an ontological-axiological foundation, and national values as an orientation for social praxis. These three concepts have an interdependent relationship that can be constructed in an integrative learning model based on ontology-epistemology-axiology. This model produces transformative, inclusive, and contextual PAI learning, and is able to shape the religious-national character of students. This study provides a theoretical contribution to the development of PAI learning designs based on value integration that is relevant to the challenges of the plurality of Indonesian society.

Abstract

This Study aims to conduct a theoretical deconstruction of the mechanisms of student discipline formation by comparing two major perspectives: Albert Bandura's Social Learning Theory and Lev Vygotsky's Socio-Cultural Theory. The research method used is library research with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data analysis was conducted through content analysis techniques on primary and secondary works relevant to both figures. The results of the study indicate that, according to Bandura, discipline is constructed through modeling and vicarious reinforcement mechanisms that culminate in the formation of self-efficacy. Meanwhile, Vygotsky emphasized that discipline is a product of the internalization of cultural values mediated by language and scaffolding within the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD). The conclusion of this study confirms that ideal student discipline is the result of a synergistic combination of imitation of appropriate role models and conscious internalization of cultural values. The implications of this study offer a framework for educational institutions to integrate aspects of the visual environment (role models) and dialogic interaction (interpretation of rules) in character education curricula

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and develop strategies for optimizing information systems in the food supply chain in order to strengthen sustainable food security in Lampung Province. Inefficient food supply chains and the lack of information system integration at the producer, distributor, and consumer levels are major challenges in ensuring the stability of local food supply and distribution. Using a qualitative approach through case study methods, this research was conducted through in-depth interviews, field observations, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with key players in the regional food system. Data analysis was conducted using the SWOT and system analysis approaches, then strategies based on the Logical Framework Approach (LFA) and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) were formulated as a reference in developing an adaptive and contextual information system. The results of the study show that optimizing information systems can increase supply chain transparency, accelerate information flow, and reduce potential crop losses. This study provides strategic contributions to regional policy makers, as well as serving as a reference for the development of digital-based food information systems in other regions with similar characteristics. The results of this study will be published in a reputable Scopus journal or international seminar, with a technology readiness level (TRL) index of 3–5 and the potential to be registered as intellectual property rights.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a fundamental skill in English language learning; however, many non-English-major students encounter difficulties in understanding academic texts. This study investigated the implementation of the Close Reading strategy in teaching reading comprehension to first-semester non-English-major students at UIN Raden Intan Lampung and explored students’ perceptions of the strategy. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through classroom observations and semi-structured interviews and analyzed thematically. The findings revealed that the implementation of Close Reading involved five stages: text selection, independent reading, lecturer modeling, collaborative discussion, and text-based questioning. The strategy helped students activate prior knowledge, apply strategic reading behaviors, engage in collaborative meaning-making, and support their answers with textual evidence. Students perceived the strategy positively because it enabled them to understand texts more systematically and critically. Nevertheless, challenges related to vocabulary limitations, inferential comprehension, translation dependence, and confidence were still observed. Overall, the study demonstrates that Close Reading provides an effective instructional framework for improving reading comprehension and fostering critical reading practices among EFL learners. These findings suggest that the strategy can be integrated into reading instruction for non-English-major students to support deeper engagement with academic texts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms of teacher interactions with autistic students, their impact on social cohesion between regular and autistic students, as well as factors that support and hinder the formation of social cohesion in inclusive learning at SD Inpres Benteng Jampea No. 57, Selayar Islands. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study research type. Research informants consist of class teachers and regular students who are directly involved in the inclusive learning process. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation, while data analysis uses the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that teacher interactions with autistic students take place through adaptive verbal communication, individual approaches, involvement in learning activities and group work, and providing emotional reinforcement during the learning process. These interactions have an impact on the development of social acceptance of regular students, involvement of autistic students in group work, the growth of peer empathy, and the role of teachers as social mediators in the classroom. Social cohesion is supported by the active role of teachers, the open attitude of regular students, group learning, social interaction habits, and inclusive communication, but is still influenced by the communication limitations of autistic students, teacher competence, inclusive facilities, and heterogeneous classroom conditions. Thus, teacher pedagogical interaction plays a crucial role in strengthening students' social cohesion in inclusive learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the RTE model, students' experiences in the formation of social values, and the role of teachers in facilitating and guiding the RTE learning process at the UPT SMPN SATAP Tarupa No. 38 Kepulauan Selayar. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological research type. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, with Civics teachers as key informants and grade VIII students as key informants. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of RTE was carried out through the formation of trio groups, structured role rotation, discussion time management, and two-way discussions accompanied by reflection on student experiences. Student experiences showed the development of group role responsibility, interpersonal empathy, teamwork, respect for differences, and communication confidence. Teachers acted as facilitators of group interactions, guides for student participation, reinforcers of social responsibility, instillers of empathy, reflectors of social experiences, and models of social values. Thus, the RTE model supports the formation of students' social values through participatory, communicative, and reflective learning experiences.
