ABDIMAS UMTAS (E-ISSN: 2614-8544) is a journal published by the Institute for Research and Community Service, Muhammadiyah University of Tasikmalaya. The ABDIMAS UMTAS Journal accommodates the publication of the results of Community Service activities carried out by Lecturers as a form of manifestation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The ABDIMAS Journal is an electronic journal that is managed professionally using the Open Journal System, published 4 times a year, namely in January, April, July, and October.

<![CDATA[SMAN 1 Moyo Utara encounters difficulties associated with inadequate financial literacy, particularly concerning capital market investments. Despite the establishment of an Investment Education Gallery (GIE) in 2021, the facility remains underutilized due to the inadequate comprehension of investments among students and teachers. This community service aims to: Enhance the understanding of students and educators at SMAN 1 Moyo Utara about investments through education and training in the capital market; Incorporate the IDX Mobile Application to facilitate direct practice, offering practical experience for students and educators at SMAN 1 Moyo Utara; Identify prospective students capable of becoming leaders of the investment education gallery at SMAN 1 Moyo Utara, ensuring the sustainability of educational and training initiatives. This program effectively enhanced participants' comprehension, as evidenced by pre- and post-tests, as well as their capacity for autonomous trading. The trading competition offered a pragmatic venue for students, and its outcomes facilitated the identification of prospective students to oversee the school's investment gallery. Strategies for ongoing education and the use of social media to enhance educational outreach bolster the program's viability.]]>

<![CDATA[Assistance in measuring the cost of quality of hospital services is essential to find out how much quality of service is provided and the costs incurred, so that efficiency and patient safety are guaranteed. Elements of quality cost include: prevention costs, assessment costs, internal failure costs, and external failure costs. This activity was carried out at Muhammadiyah Hospital in Palembang. The calculation of quality costs had not been calculated, the expenditure for quality cost elements had been carried out by the finance department. The result of this assistance is the availability of quality cost measurement instruments to evaluate the quality of service and costs incurred so that in the end it can be realized that the higher the quality of service, the lower the costs incurred. Conclusion: this instrument can be used as an early warning system in quality cost expenditures in addition it can be used as evaluation material every month and year so that hospitals can grow and develop consistently]]>

<![CDATA[As people age, there are several declines in the physiological and psychological functions of the elderly. Where one of them is a decline in cognitive function. Cognitive decline not only affects social life but also the quality of life of the elderly. Reminiscence therapy is one way to help the elderly prevent cognitive decline and dementia. The purpose of this activity is to help the elderly improve their cognitive abilities through activities that can stimulate memory. Method The application of reminiscence therapy with a group approach strategy. The intervention of playing music (singing) and watching movies became the media choices that the team used as reminiscence therapy. The reminiscence therapy activities begin with the identification of the cognitive functions of the elderly participants. The first session of reminiscence therapy is an introduction and singing nostalgic songs. The second session continued with watching movies a Garut historical and historical film of independence. The evaluation session is conducted after each activity session. The results of the activity showed that all the elderly participants were able to recount the historical events depicted in the movies. Reminiscence therapy has proven to be able to evoke the elderly's memories of past events. It is recommended to continue reminiscence therapy activities regularly in a nursing home.]]>

<![CDATA[This service is carried out to provide education and prevention of stunting growth in Bangsalsari village through strengthening health communication about mental health for pregnant women. this service was carried out on 28-29 June 2024 at the PKK room at the Bangsalsari village office involving participants from various groups of village residents. the service was carried out for two days starting at 08.00 WIB. the service was carried out by presenting several education courses regarding health and stunting, especially regarding mental health communication with its influence on stunting and its growth. this activity is an effort to educate oneself in controlling the mental health faced by pregnant women and children in Bangsalsari adults. implementing effective communication with all existing communication media devices is part of ensuring that communication runs effectively so that counseling through effective communication can at least reduce the possibility of mental health problems.]]>

<![CDATA[The phenomenon of bullying in children is still rampant in society, especially in the school environment. Efforts to prevent bullying actions need to be made by various related parties. This service research aims to implement the Islamic paradigm and values in the Kitab Adab Alim wa Muta'allim by Kyai Hasyim Asy'ari as guidelines and ethical sources in efforts to prevent bullying, transform strategies that must be implemented and form an educational ecosystem in the Ma'arif education environment in Malang Regency. The method used in this research is Asset Based Community Development (ABCD). The result of this research is that the Islamic paradigm and values in the Book of Adab Alim wa Muta'allim by Kyai Hasyim Asy'ari should be a guideline and ethical source in efforts to prevent bullying in the Ma'arif education environment in Malang Regency because the values contained in the Book of Adab Alim wa Muta'allim are still very relevant to become an ethical foundation to prevent bullying in schools under Nahdlatul Ulama. The strategy that LP Ma'arif Malang Regency can implement to habituate child-friendly schools with the Islamic paradigm and values in the Kitab Adab Alim wa Muta'allim Kyai Hasyim Asy'ari is to use the AGIL scheme, which stands for adaption, goal attainment, integration and latency. Schools under LP Ma'arif Malang Regency can be initiators and pioneers of child-friendly and anti-bullying schools with the Islamic paradigm and values in the Book of Adab Alim wa Muta'allim Kyai Hasyim Asy'ari. ]]>

<![CDATA[The flash floods and landslides that occurred in Surantih, Pesisir Selatan Regency caused various health problems. Post-disaster emergency response has been well coordinated through government hospitals and public health centers. However, the analysis of the Crisis Center of the Indonesian Ministry of Health and the Public Health Office of Pesisir Selatan District indicates a potential decline in health conditions, both physically and psychologically. The risk of post-disaster illness and psychological trauma needs to be prevented through the provision of preventive-oriented health services. Barriers to access to health services, especially for residents still living in disaster sites and refugees who are scattered due to infrastructure damage, exacerbate the situation. Therefore, it is necessary to provide a mobile clinic to overcome these obstacles and prevent a decline in physical and psychological health conditions. This activity aims to make a real contribution to post-disaster health management, and actively involve stakeholders in the establishment of mobile clinics. The implementation of the mobile clinic was carried out at four points that reached victims affected by the cold lava disaster. The number of health workers deployed was 8 specialist doctors 6 nurses 2 pharmacists and 4 psychologists. Mobile clinics provide services for post-disaster health problems and post-disaster chronic diseases. From the results of screening and health history taking, there were 90 disaster victims who had health problems such as skin diseases, chronic diseases, and post-disaster trauma problems. The implementation of mobile clinics provides solutions to obstructed access during disaster events, immediate handling of post-disaster physical problems and provides continuity of care for chronic diseases when post-disaster health services stop.]]>

<![CDATA[Parenting patterns for children are a determining factor in forming a child's character in adulthood. The quality and quantity of interactions between parents and children reflected Parenting patterns. This activity aims to provide counseling about parenting, focusing on parenting patterns for children in the language of love. The objects of the action were women from RW 10 Rancamulya Village. The methods used were participatory methods, lectures, and discussions. This parenting discussion on how to raise children using the language of love also discusses the stages of parenting children properly and how to build appropriate interactions with children. Implementing counseling on how to raise children by discussing love will provide a better understanding of how to educate children. Apart from that, it will also provide additional knowledge and improve skills for mothers in raising their children so that they will give birth to future generations with solid character and personality.]]>

<![CDATA[The Tista Tourism Village MSME group has various business activities under the auspices of the Sari Merta Village-Owned Enterprise (Bumdes). One of the businesses that many local people are involved in is processing agricultural products. Things that become obstacles for MSMEs are product packaging and digital marketing, which causes a lack of product orders because they only rely on marketing in rural areas. This community service aims to provide knowledge about digitalization in the marketing sector so that it can reach potential buyers from outside the village and how to create attractive packaging to attract customers, thereby increasing product sales. The method used is to explain how important it is to sell online and practice the system using the Instagram, Shopee, and Tokopedia applications. And, for the packaging sector, training is provided on how to design product packaging and logos using the Canva application. This community service concludes that there has been an increase in sales of MSME products; this is based on the results of a questionnaire that has been given to the group, where the Tista Tourism Village MSME group has been able to market its products through digital applications. ]]>

<![CDATA[Stunting is a condition where a child's height does not match the standard at 2-5 years old. If proper stunting correction is not carried out, it will cause the development and growth of children to be inappropriate for their age. The most appropriate stunting correction is by providing balanced nutrition. Health cadres are elements of society that are expected to be pioneers in improving the healthy behavior of the community. Providing education and training to health cadres on age-appropriate complementary food processing is one step that is expected to improve the ability of cadres to provide a balanced complementary food menu for toddlers. From the results of this community service, it was found that there was an increase in the knowledge and skills of cadres in processing balanced nutritious local food ingredients for toddlers.]]>

<![CDATA[Learning videos can be used as a learning tool. Learning videos have several advantages, including providing convenience in undergoing the learning process without being bound by space and time, and material can be repeated independently. Many learning videos can be accessed on social media. To facilitate learners in learning and attract their attention, learning videos must be made creatively and innovatively. One of the applications to create learning videos is Open Broadcaster Software (OBS). This community service uses the application to socialize to educators in the hope that educators can be helped in making interesting learning videos. Previously, OBS had never been used by educators in delivering material. This community service was attended by 40 Muhammadiyah high school teachers in Jakarta. On the first day of community service, the speaker explained about learning videos with OBS. On the second day, participants were asked to make their learning videos with the help of the community service team. Furthermore, participants presented the results of their work. Participants felt that it would be easier to convey material with learning videos and could be more creative with OBS. ]]>
