Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 has reshaped educational practices, prompting the integration of e-learning to overcome conventional pedagogical constraints in specialized fields like Japanese literary studies. This study investigates the efficacy, challenges, and optimization strategies of technology-enhanced learning for Japanese literature. Utilizing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected via interviews with instructors and students, observations of LMS, and analysis of digital resources across universities adopting e-learning for Japanese literature. Thematic evaluation and Kirkpatrick’s model revealed that e-learning improves student engagement through digital forums and multimedia tools, facilitating deeper cultural and contextual understanding of literary texts. However, technical barriers (e.g., inconsistent internet access, infrastructure gaps) and pedagogical challenges in conveying the aesthetic essence of literature digitally remain significant hurdles. To address these, the study advocates for AI-powered text analysis tools, gamification, and adaptive learning systems to enhance interactivity and motivation. Findings emphasize e-learning’s potential to transform Japanese literary education when supported by tailored digital frameworks. Recommendations include institutional investments in infrastructure, educator training, and further research on adaptive technologies. This work bridges digital pedagogy and literary studies, offering insights to align humanities education with Industry 4.0 demands while preserving academic rigor in a technology-driven era.

Abstract

Alumni commitment acts as a critical component in strengthening the future of higher education, especially within entrepreneurial learning ecosystems. However, limited research has explored alumni commitment through the lens of experience value and alumni satisfaction, particularly in Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs with strong technopreneurship and edupreneurial components. This study investigates how experience value and satisfaction influence MBA alumni commitment at a prominent Indonesian business school. Using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and Importance-Performance Map Analysis (IPMA), the findings reveal that experience value especially utilitarian dimensions embedded in edupreneurial and technopreneurial learning plays a dominant role. Managerially, MBA programs can enhance alumni commitment by integrating executive mentoring, immersive leadership tasks, strategic consulting with real-world firms, and international residencies. These results highlight that entrepreneurial educational experiences, when perceived as valuable and actionable, significantly foster long-term alumni engagement.

Abstract

Healthcare systems face growing challenges in protecting patient information, with more than 276 million healthcare records breached in 2024 alone. This study presents a proof-of-concept consortium blockchain framework that integrates Near Field Communication (NFC) based authentication with smart contract driven consensus to securely verify and synchronize Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) across multiple healthcare facilities. The system was tested in a simulated network of three Virtual Private Servers, achieving an average NFC verification time of 2.9 seconds and a consensus propagation time of 0.4 seconds, demonstrating stable performance suitable for near-real-time operations.Although these results are promising, the evaluation was limited to synthetic datasets, small-scale network conditions, and basic database security configurations. Future work will focus on scaling the system to larger and more diverse networks, strengthening cybersecurity measures, and ensuring full compliance with HIPAA and GDPR standards. By supporting the United Nations’3rd Sustainable Development Goal on Health and the 9th Sustainable Development Goal on Infrastructure and Innovation, this research contributes to the development of secure, interoperable, and sustainable healthcare information systems.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Digital Resilience Framework for Indonesian MSME by integrating digital innovation, adaptive capabilities, marketing reach, and strategic collaboration in response to global market volatility. Based on the Dynamic Capabilities Theory, Innovation Diffusion Theory, Resource-Based View, and Network Theory, this study examines how digital innovation is transformed into enhanced SMEs performance through the development of dual capabilities within a collaborative ecosystem. A quantitative approach using SEM-PLS was employed to analyze data from 350 SMEs in Central Java, collected through stratified random sampling. Measurements using a 1-5 Likert scale were used to assess digital innovation, digital adaptive capabilities, digital marketing reach capabilities, SMEs performance, and SMEs collaboration. The findings reveal that digital innovation has a significant influence on digital adaptive capabilities and digital marketing reach, both of which positively impact SMEs performance. However, SMEs collaboration does not significantly moderate the relationship between innovation and capability. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening adaptive and marketing capabilities as drivers of digital transformation. The study contributes theoretically through an integrative model that demonstrates a sequential transformation process, expands Dynamic Capabilities Theory in a digital context, and challenges conventional assumptions of Network Theory regarding the role of collaboration. Practical implications suggest that SMEs prioritize capability development as a mediating mechanism for digital transformation, while policymakers should design interventions focused on capability development rather than technology adoption alone. This study encourages further research exploring complex forms of collaboration and longitudinal evaluations of SMEs digital capability development.

Abstract

This study examines the critical role of leadership and innovation in fostering innovative behavior among employees within the UAE oil and gas industry. Using a quantitative approach, the research analyzes the relationships between knowledge sharing, psychological empowerment, entrepreneurial leadership, inclusive leadership, and job insecurity with employee innovative behavior. Additionally, it investigates the moderating effects of nationality, verbal rewards, and material rewards on these relationships. Data were collected through a survey of 380 employees across various oil and gas companies in the UAE and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings reveal that knowledge sharing, psychological empowerment, entrepreneurial leadership, and inclusive leadership all have a significant positive impact on employee innovative behavior, while job insecurity negatively affects innovative behavior. Nationality was found to moderate the relationship between knowledge sharing and innovation, while verbal rewards negatively moderated the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and innovation. Material rewards had no significant effect. These findings emphasize the importance of entrepreneurial and inclusive leadership in creating an innovative organizational culture, as well as the role of psychological empowerment and knowledge sharing in driving innovation, while job insecurity can hinder employee creativity. The study provides insights for organizations to foster a supportive environment that enhances innovation and sustains competitiveness.

Abstract

Public Private Partnership (PPP) is a contractual arrangement between government and private institutions to share resources, tools, and expertise for delivering public services. In Indonesia, PPPs have been widely applied in infrastructure sectors, but little attention has been given to their role in supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in adopting digital marketing. This study aims to build a PPP institutional scenario for implementing digital marketing in MSMEs and to formulate a priority strategy for strengthening PPP-based digital marketing policy. A mixed-method approach was employed, combining scenario planning with the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP). Data were collected from 17 experts through in-depth interviews and analyzed using scenario modeling and fuzzy weighting techniques. The findings indicate that developing institutional guidelines, establishing a task force, fostering commitment, and creating PPP patterns are key strategies to enhance MSMEs’ digital adoption. The results highlight the importance of government investment in digital infrastructure, training programs, and supportive regulations. This research provides practical contributions for policymakers in strengthening PPP-based digital ecosystems and academic contributions by advancing scenario-based decision-making for sustainable MSME development.

Abstract

Promotion objectives, tourism promotion mix, and expectations play significant roles in attracting tourists to destinations. Videos have emerged as effective promotional tools, showcasing the actual conditions of tourist attractions. This research investigates how promotional objectives and the tourism promotion mix, with the moderation of expectations, can influence tourist interest. A total of 247 respondents were sampled for this study. The respondents evaluated videos of Kebon Rojo Park, Blitar, East Java, and completed a questionnaire. The analysis method used was Partial Least Squares (PLS), suitable for handling complex data with multiple variables. The study found that both promotion objectives and the tourism promotion mix positively influenced tourist interest. However, expectations did not moderate the relationship between the promotional strategies and tourist interest. This indicates that expectations do not strengthen or weaken the effects of promotional objectives and tourism promotion mix on tourist interest. The research suggests that while expectations play a role in shaping perceptions, the key to attracting tourists lies in effective promotional strategies tailored to the target market segment. This highlights the importance of using accurate and attractive promotional materials to stimulate interest in visiting destinations like Kebon Rojo Park.

Abstract

The dynamics of global business are highly developed along with technological advances. This also happens to state-owned enterprises which are then merged into Ultra Micro (UMi) holding consisting of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BRI), PT Pegadaian, and PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM). For this reason, it is necessary to have the right strategy to improve risk management maturity in this UMi holding. The research used the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) approach. This research methodology is descriptive-analytical, with the aim of describing and analysing the factors that influence risk management in ultra-micro holding, as well as identifying the best alternative strategies based on the comparison of relevant criteria. The questionnaire was distributed to 16 respondents consisting of experts (lecturers, Financial Services Authority (OJK), Bank Indonesia (BI), BRI, PT Pegadaian, and PNM. These findings indicate that based on the priority of the most impactful factor is Leadership, the actor is Holding BOD, the goal is Improved leadership quality and holding risk culture, while the alternative strategy Evaluate and improve the holding's integration plan (HR, operational and business) including risk management aspects. This finding shows that leadership is very important in the process of margers and acquisitions in order to improve risk management maturity. This research contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 16 (Strong Institutions) by developing AHP-based strategies for improving risk management maturity in ultra-micro SOE holding companies, thereby enhancing their capacity to support inclusive economic development.
