Abstract

Domestic wastewater will cause environmental problems, if there is no treatment either communally or household scale or in other words, the people directly dispose of their waste into water bodies. There are several environmentally friendly and fairly inexpensive waste treatment systems, namely the biofilter system. The processing of the wastewater with a biofilter system in several studies resulted in very good reduction of some parameters. This research does not only use biofilter, because it is possible there are still residual inorganic compounds such as nitrate and phosphate left over from processing biofilter systems. So that a tertiary treatment is still needed using a hydroponic system. The results of this study, namely the tertiary treatment system with hydroponics can reduce the residual anoganic compounds of phosphate, such as the outlets of kangkung (76.13%), spinach (44.9%) and lettuce (45.95%), while nitrates did not decrease. The parameters of TDS, TSS, COD and BOD were reduced with the efficiency removal of 15.15-19.60%, 51.20-88.52%, 49.00-63,27% and 30.49-58.68% respectively.

Abstract

This The study aims to determine the difference in workload of operator officers in terms of morning, afternoon and night work shifts between COCO’s (Corcoated Owned Corporated Operated). and DODO’s (Dealer Owned Operated Dealers) Gas Stations that operate 24 hours in Yogyakarta Special Region. There are differences between the morning, afternoon and night shifts complained of by the operator, namely that the afternoon shift tends to be more crowded than the other two shifts so that operators feel more tired while working in the afternoon shift. There are differences between the two types of gas stations, namely the ownership system, physical facilities, and management management systems. This study was conducted to analyze the workload both physical and mental in each shift and then evaluate the current shift work system. The measurement of physical workload was carried out objectively by measuring the operator's heart rate to be converted into oxygen consumption and Heart Rate Range (HRR), the results of these measurements were then analyzed statistically using the ANOVA test and the post-hoc Least Significance Different (LSD) test. ) Mental workloads were measured using subjective methods with the NASA-TLX questionnaire. The conclusion obtained is that there are differences in the physical workload of operators in each shift at COCO and DODO gas stations. The operator's oxygen consumption value in each shift is classified as mild to moderate, while the HRR value is still below the recommended limits or can be said to be safe. The mental workload of operators at COCO and DODO gas stations tends to be high to very high categories and indicators of physical needs are indicators.

Abstract

Agricultural by-products such as corn silk and kaffir limepeels have not been utilized well. Since every part of a plant contains phenolicscompounds as a result of their secondary metabolism, it is possible that these two wastes can be used as a source of natural antioxidants. Therefore in this study, we investigated the phenolic content in corn silk and citrus peel and assess the ability of the extracts to reduce the conversion of starch to sugar in antidiabetic assessment. Research procedures include raw materialpreparation, extraction, activity assessment and loading the extract into the nanomaterialpores. The results showed that corn silk and kaffir lime peels have different total phenolic contents. Specifically for corn silk, it can be seen clearly that the plant varietycontribute to the amount of total phenolic content. Corn silk from P11 variety has the largest phenolic content up to 1.58 mg GAE/g. Therefore this materialexhibited the highest antioxidant activity against DPPH free radicals, but it has a relatively low for antidiabetic activity. For citrus, this study showed that peels of lemon, lime and kaffir lime exhibited different content of phenolicswith kaffir lime peels extract had the highest phenolics, up to 23.36 mg GAE/g, while the extract of lemon and lime peels were 7.94 and 9.71 mg GAE/g, respectively. In addition, extract of kaffir lime peels has the highest phenolics content compared to other parts such as leaves and juice. The use of different solvents provides different antidiabetic activity. The loading of kaffir lime peels extract into nanomaterial pores was successful, promising future application in the field of drug delivery. However, other studies are still required to improve the effectiveness of diabetes therapy using natural products.

Abstract

The result of observations made that the performance of SMEs is still a problem, where in the bookeeping process, SMEs is still manual, namely recording all income and expenditure from SMEs and SMEs owners have never studied the level of performance and profitability, besides that there is a problem in the promotion media which is front of the shop and hanua prom mouth between owners and customers. Implementation of which includes financial aspects (financial) namely to provide discounted promos for permanent customers, provide prices for products that are relatively cheap and update flows into the Ms.Excel while from non financial aspects (customers), namely providing the best and fastest service, producing quality produts, and registering SMEs to online shopping media accounts. SMEs income before implementation amounted to 56.4% with performance value of 70.5% and after implementation at 83.5% with performance value of 96.4% while non-financial (customer) was 87.8% and after implementation 96.4%.

Abstract

Pancake Lena is the small and medium industries that produce durian pancake. These SMEs durian pancake producing as many as 600 pieces per day. For the manufacture of pancakes per day SMBs can spend as much as 25 durian fruit. Preliminary observations on the initial durian peel using a knife, but by using this way many factors that cause accidents and long lead time process. The average time for the start of durian peel 1.1 minutes while peeling durian total with an average time of 3.3 minutes. In the observations were made for 25 pieces of durian with a work accident as much as 4 times. To solve the problem time and productivity happens to need a durian peeler. How it works peeler durian by sticking a durian on a crutch durian, then there are two claws blade left and right to stab the left side and the upper right durian, then the driver is struck so that the claw knife stab to the durian, and the left stick and right-drawn simultaneously to open a durian. The design of this durian peeler using R&D (Research and Development), which is a method of research and product development. The tool development considersefficiency, product effectivity and ease of useof product design. The efficiency of stripping time early durian fruit on average 0.11 minutes while peeling fruit durian total with an average time of 1.02 minutes and accidents reduced and productivity before and after obtained a 2,22 earned 2,27. Specifications tool designed measuring 50 cm long and 92 cm high.

Abstract

PP Sinar Tani is one of the companies engaged in the rice industry. Stages of production process that is done in PP Sinar Tani is by breaking the skin of rice, sifting rice, cleaning of dirt, etc. The stages of the production process use machines such as pocket elevator, husk funnel, kiby machine, etc. In the machines for the production process there are machines that often suffered damage kiby machine. This kiby machine is one of the older machines, which is ± 7 years old. Obstacles encountered in the kiby machine is the engine is damaged when operating and disrupt the smoothness of the production process. After assessing the overall effectiveness of mesih kiby using TPM method, the value of OEE is 88.48% and it meets JIPM standard, that is ? 85 %. However, the availability value of kiby machine does not meet JIPM standard, that is ? 90 %, that is 88,78 %. Therefore, the authors suggest the schedule of care and operator training to improve the availability index.

Abstract

Application of block system can give positive and negative impact to the students. Evaluation of the implementation of the block system needs to be done to determine the impact of the system applied to the students. Similarly, the impact of the implementation of the block system in Departement of Nursing FiKes UKMC which has started running from 2013 and has never been evaluated. The stress level in this study was measured using the scale of Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale 42 (DASS 42). The measurement scale of DASS 42 contains 42 statements relating to the level of depression, anxiety and stress of a person. The stress statement contained in DASS 42 was modified, so it could illustrate the state of the research subjects. Data collection in the form of questionnaires distributed to students of Departement of Nursing FiKes UKMC as much as 140 respondents. The results of the questionnaire showed that the average respondent's stress level was 12.22, which means having a normal stress level. Statistical analysis using correlation test is used to know the relationship between each variable. The results of the first correlation test relating to gender and stress levels generated correlation coefficient sebasar -0.037 (p = 0.668). Results of the second correlation test between the level of study with stress level generated coefficient correlation sebasar -0.032 (p = 0.710). Results of the third correlation test between GPA with stress level resulted in correlation coefficient of 0.011 (p = 0.893). The last correlation test results between the block system with the stress level with the correlation coefficient value sebasar -0.024 (p = 0.778). From the results of this test obtained all p-values for four hypotheses greater than 0.05, then concluded gender, level of force, and system block is not associated with student stress levels.

Abstract

The development of manufacturing and service industries is increasing rapidly from time to time so that every industry player must be ready to compete with his competitors. Therefore the problems and factors associated with increasing productivity are increasingly prominent and need to be examined. This research was conducted in Tamiya auto assembly industry.In this study investigated the work method and operator work layout, then performed the proposed improvement by applying the 5S method on the work environment. After data processing and discussion of assembly time measurement data, 5S method analysis on layout both before and after the proposed improvement and the number of production results of each work layout was the amount of production in the layout after the proposed improvements made increased compared to the layout before the proposed improvementdo.This is evidenced by the increased productivity index from before the proposed improvement done where the productivity index before the proposed improvement is 97.5%, while the productivity index on the work layout after the proposed improvement 115%. Therefore, it can be said that the micromotion study and the 5S method has brought a good effect for the improvement of working methods by eliminating the ineffective movement and arranging the work environment to be cleaner and tidier thus increasing the productivity of the operator's work.

Abstract

This study aims to know about the assessment of REBA posture method on sand removal work in the prevention of Musculoskletal Disorder. Workers who perform sand removal on UD XYZ are influenced by work posture, work position, and body performance. From the measurement results obtained the value of Rapid Entire Body Assessment REBA is 10, it can be seen the value of 9 is on the score of 8-10 which means that the work of the operator when moving the sand with a shovel has a high risk level and need action as soon as possible. the results obtained in carrying out the sand shoveling activity by repeatedly scoring the REBA score is 9 and it is stated that the activity has the potential to pose a risk of injury to the worker.

Abstract

Adolescence is transition state from childhood to adulthood. They strife to build their self identity. One of psychological aspects which influences the building self identity is self esteem. Adolescence maintains to strife for their psychological wellbeing in life and education. The aim of this quantitative study is to prove hypothetic question, is there any influence of self esteem and education system to the well being of senior high school adolescence? There were 299 participants (respondents) in this study. They consist of 163 male and 136 female students from Three Senior High Schools in Palembang. The instrument which is used to collect data is the questionnaire of Likert’s Scale. The reliability of the instruments is tested by using Alpha Cronbach formula. The result of the Cronbach Alpha for well being is 0.0876” and 0.942” for self esteem. Both of the collected data are analyzed with Analysis of Variances (Two way Anova ).The research found out self esteem have significance influence to well being with F = 53.946” and sig. value = 0.000” (< 0.05”). Education system also have significance influence to well being with F = 3.239” and sig. Value = 0.041” (< 0.05”). Meanwhile self esteem and education system all together have no significance influence to well being with F = 2.080” and sig. Value = 0.103” (> 0.05”).
