Muwazah adalah jurnal kajian gender dengan ISSN Print: 2085-8353; Online: 2502-5368 yang diterbitkan oleh Pusat Studi Gender (PSG) IAIN Pekalongan. Kata Muwazah berasal dari bahasa Arab yaitu (??????) yang memiliki arti kesetaraan. Jurnal ini fokus pada isu-isu aktual dan kontemporer yang berkaitan dengan kajian gender lokalitas dalam berbagai perspektif. Redaksi mengundang para ilmuwan, sarjana, professional, praktisi dan peneliti dalam berbagai disiplin ilmu yang konsern terhadap kajian gender berupa analisis, aplikasi teori, hasil penelitian, terjemahan, resensi buku, literature review untuk mempublikasikan hasil karya ilmiahnya setelah melalui mekanisme seleksi naskah, telaah mitra bebestari, dan proses penyuntingan. Jurnal ini terbit setahun dua kali setiap bulan Juni dan Desember.

Abstract

The research is to know and examine the thoughts of Fatima Mernissi about the role of women and how the critics of Fatima Mernissi thought. The research method used literature research where the data obtained from literatures related to Fatima Mernissi thinking about the role of women in Islam. The result of this research is that Fatima Mernissi tried to reconstruct thinking about the role of Fatima woman by exploring the values and teachings in al-Qur’an that affirm equality of men and women. Fatima Mernissi quotes several verses of the Qur’an, which assert that the vision and mission of Islam uphold and provide absolute certainty related to sexual equality. The moment of migration of a political action involving men and women, should be interpreted as an affirmation and justification of Islam for public participation of women in the social and political sphere.

Abstract

Education is a media for transferring values, cultures, knowledge and capabilities in society. So, arising of gender inequalities in society, should be assumed as a result of gender bias thought in education. We found them in islamic one too. The main of its problem in Islam could be rooted from its thoughts, that assumed contain some misinterpretations of its origins and base. The reinterpretation of religious understanding which gender biased, becomes necessary and improving the content of the Islamic education curriculum by eliminating the dichotomy between men and women.

Abstract

This paper examines the feminism and feminism of Islam in the novel in Indonesia. The approach used is the sociology of literature, which aims to describe the problems of feminism with regard to social, cultural, and belief systems of society. Feminism has an important role and is one of the novel appeal. Feminism in the novel rejects all forms of discrimination against women. The concept of feminism in the novel in Indonesia shifts to Islamic feminism, namely the concept of gender equality that refers to the principles of Islamic teachings. Through the novel Islamic feminism, Muslim authors want to convey some message of da'wah. First, Islamic feminism is gender equality derived from Al Quran and Hadith. Second, Islamic feminism is one of Muslim women's image which is related to morality and attitude of Muslim woman when faced with problem.

Abstract

paper ini membahas tentang pengembangan spritualitas dalam pendidikan dan pelatihan berbasis gender dalam perspektif Islam. Pembahasan meliputi pemahaman terhadap wacana kesetaraan gender dalam perspektif Islam, dan pengembangan spiritualitas dalam pendidikan dan pelatihan berbasis gender dalam Islam. Kesimpulan dalam kajian ini menunjukan bahwa eksistensi kaum perempuan dalam perspektif Islam adalah sejajar dan setara dengan kaum laki-laki dalam hal persaudaraan, kasih sayang, tolong menolong dalam bidang pendidikan, sosial, ekonomi dan kegiatan politik. Namun karena struktur dan sifat fisik serta biologis antara laki-laki dan perempuan adalah berbeda maka fungsinyapun tentu juga berbeda secara kodrati. Oleh karena itu sangat tidak adil apabila dalam semua bidang kehidupan, perempuan harus dipersamakan dengan laki-laki dan atau sebaliknya. Dalam pendidikan dan pelatihan, sikap spiritual dapat diintegrasikan dalam setiap tema atau konsep yang akan dipelajari bersama peserta pendidikan dan pelatihan. Materi pendidikan dan pelatihan yang berupa teori, konsep, fakta, dan temuan penelitian dikaitkan dengan kitab suci (al-Qur’an) dan al-Hadist agar dapat menimbulkan kesadaran bahwa ada zat yang Maha Mengetahui lagi Maha Kuasa atas segala sesuatu sehingga pada akhirnya akan menumbuhkan keimanan dan ketaqwaan kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa

Abstract

This study explores the causes of divorce in Pengadilan Agama Bekasi, as well as the relation with gender issues. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques with interviews, observation and literature studies. Analysis techniques using interactive models. The results show that the factors causing the divorce are economic factors, irresponsible husbands' factors, domestic factors of abuse, factors of infidelity and polygamy. The higher the gender awareness of a woman, the higher of the divorce case. This gender awareness is usually owned by women who have higher education, women who are aware of their rights and obligations, independent women, and who are aware of husband and wife relations.

Abstract

Javanese is one of the famous culture that owned by Indonesia. As one of the culture that enough reckoned , javanese had a wide range of science .Not only the mosaic customs and any kind of a ceremony that he had, but the woman too. This study was a qualitative research aiming to describe negative labeling/ stereotype existing inside javanese women. Used a technique of analysis contents and interview, researchers will processing the data in the form of quotations novel with three stages: reduction , display data and data verification. The result of research showed that there were several negative labels. Firstly, men are considered as smarter than women, so that can be family’s more pride. Secondly, women having protruding breast are equivalent to ledhek or prostitute. Thirdly, gelung/sanggul (hair bun) is a symbol of women’s beauty. Fourthly, women producing sound of smacking lips during eating are just like animal. Fifthly, kitchen becomes basic standard of ability of taking care of husband and future household. .As part of science, feminism need to introduced to school through language class. Abstract

The reality of the lack of women's role on the political stage has led many to have built important commitments as social reconstruction to increase women's chances of being more active in the political stage. To realize these objectives various laws and regulations have been created to provide opportunities for women to take an active role in politics. The appearance of women in the political stage in various regions has shown a shift in the political paradigm that wants gender equality where there is a demand for women and men to have equal opportunity in politics.

Abstract

The research of participatory aims to increase community participation in prevention of domestic violence, through counseling against gender based violence. Research location in Semarang. Data collection techniques using direct observation, interviews with counseling participants, pre test and post test. The results of the analysis show that, there is an increase in people's knowledge and understanding of the Law on the Elimination of Domestic Violence, the situation of gender based violence and the problem of assistance and government programs in the elimination of gender based violence. In addition, there is a change in attitude shown through participant participation in activities, the ability to explain and describe the material that has been conveyed by the resource person, conveying ideas and thoughts about the steps and solutions that can be done in removing gender-based violence, and then domestic violence. Therefore, a religious approach should be developed to reduce religious fundamentalism which is detrimental to women in various extension, socialization, campaign and other activities

Abstract

Women's participation in the preparation of gampong reusam (village rules) that regulate child protection is relatively small compared to men. Whereas the participation of women has an important role so that the rules produced can represent their role. Without the involvement of women implicate the reusam that does not berperspektif gender. The research aimed to answer the problems about women's mechanism and participation in the formulation of gampong reusam in Kabupaten Aceh Besar, and the process of involvement of women in the preparation of village reusam. This empirical research was conducted in Aceh Besar District in three gampongs, namely Gampong Lambirah Kecamata Suka Makmur, Gampong Neusok Darul Kamal Subdistrict and Gampong Neuheun District Mesjid Raya. The research data was obtained through interviews with keuchik gampong, female characters and Tuha Peut Gampong. The results showed that the mechanism of compilation of reusam was done by way of deliberation in meunasah and balee (balai) pengajian by involving various elements in society, especially gampong, women and children figures also involved. Involvement of women is usually done by invited by loudspeakers in meunasah and also delivered orally by Keuchik (Village Head). The presence of women has not been maximized in the process of preparing the reusam gampong because the arrangement is done at night, time to rest, keeping the children at home, the weather is not supportive because of the rain. The role of women in the village reusam has been represented in the context of the handling of children against the law

Abstract

Women's political participation in Indonesia can be categorized as low, even though the government has provided special policies for women. Patriarchal political culture is a major obstacle in increasing women's political participation, because it builds perceptions that women are inappropriate, unsuitable and unfit to engage in the political domain. The notion that women are more appropriate in the domestic area; identified politics are masculine, so women are not suitable for acting in the political domain; Weak women and not having the ability to become leaders, are the result of the construction of a patriarchal political culture. Efforts must be doing to increase women's participation, i.e: women's political awareness, gender-based political education; building and strengthening relationships between women's networks and organizations; attract qualified women political party cadres; cultural reconstruction and reinterpretation of religious understanding that is gender biased; movement to change the organizational structure of political parties and; the implementation of legislation effectively.
