Abstract

This study examines the influence of Generative AI use, AI literacy, and AI ethics on university students’ critical thinking skills because the rapid adoption of AI in higher education may support learning, but it may also weaken independent reasoning if it is used without adequate understanding and ethical control. The study employed a quantitative associative design with a survey method. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire from 180 active students in the Office Administration Education Program at Universitas Negeri Semarang and analyzed using instrument testing, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression with SPSS 26. The findings show that Generative AI use, AI literacy, and AI ethics each have a positive and significant effect on critical thinking skills, both partially and simultaneously. AI literacy emerged as the most dominant predictor among the three variables. These results indicate that students’ critical thinking is strengthened not only by using AI tools, but also by understanding how AI works and applying responsible academic ethics in their use. However, given the study's cross-sectional design, reliance on self-reported metrics, and narrow focus on a single program at one institution, the generalizability of these outcomes requires cautious interpretation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of the online new student admission process (PPDB) based on the merit, regular, and affirmative action tracks at MAN 1 East Aceh. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research informants consisted of the madrasah principal, the PPDB committee, and system operators, all of whom were selected through purposive sampling. The results show that online PPDB management is carried out through four stages: planning, organizing, implementation, and supervision and monitoring. The PPDB process utilizes Google Forms in two registration waves, with selection based on the completeness of documents and report card grades according to the respective admission tracks. The use of Google Forms simplifies the registration process and data management; however, it still has limitations because it does not yet support integrated document verification, registration pathway sorting, and data security. Overall, online PPDB management at MAN 1 Aceh Timur has been effective, transparent, and capable of supporting a fair and equitable student admission process.

Abstract

The cultivation of students' spiritual values in Islamic schools requires curriculum management that not only organizes learning content, but also guides the internalization of moral values through meaningful habituation. This study aims to analyze the role of curriculum management functions, namely Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling (POAC), in instilling spiritual values consisting of moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action among students through a drill-based curriculum. This research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA approach. Literature was searched in PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Taylor & Francis, Google Scholar, and SINTA with the keywords "Curriculum Management", "Drill Method", "Spiritual Values", "Character Education", "Tahfidz", and "Munaqosyah" for publications within the last ten years. From 180 initial records, 130 duplicates were removed, 50 articles were screened, 18 full-text articles were assessed, and 15 articles met the inclusion criteria for synthesis. The findings indicate that POAC-based curriculum management plays a significant role in connecting repetitive drill practices with students' spiritual internalization through systematic planning, clear role organization, reflective implementation, and continuous qualitative evaluation. The study concludes that drill-based curriculum management can support students' honesty, responsibility, and self-confidence when repetition is accompanied by meaning-making, teacher modelling, reflection, and authentic assessment.
