Deiksis is a journal that aims to be a peer-reviewed platform and an authoritative source of information. We publish scientific works from national and international lecturers, researchers, students, and practitioners to present their new ideas, concepts, and theories in Indonesian language and literature education focused on Language Learning and Indonesian Literature, Class Action Research (CAR) of the teaching of Language and Indonesian Literature, Indonesian Linguistics and Literature, Linguistic and Literary analysis as well as related topics. All articles are peer-reviewed by at least two peer-reviewers. Deiksis is managed to be issued twice in every volume. The scope of Deiksis is Indonesian Language and Literature Learning Model, Assessment and Evaluation of Teaching Indonesian Language and Literature, discourse analysis, pragmatics, anthropolinguistics, language and culture, dialectology, language documentation, cognitive linguistics, language education, translation, language planning, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics and other scientific fields related to language studies.

Abstract

The study of how certain communities or ethnic groups perceive and comprehend science is known as ethnoscience. This discipline investigates how various communities use, comprehend, and interpret science. While some communities could be more skeptics and hesitant to adopt new science and technology, others might be more receptive to both. Beliefs, culture, and religion may all have an impact on how society applies science. In addition, ethnoscience investigates the ways in which science affects society. An educational strategy called ethnoscience links the actual knowledge of a society to scientific understanding . It is a new type of ethnography that allows cultural researchers to develop grassroots ideas based on ethno and folk without necessarily accepting western cultural theories that may be irrelevant.Ethnoscience is an interdisciplinary field of study that combines the principles of ethnography and science. This field aims to understand the relationship between culture and science. This article discusses the origins of ethnoscience, the scope of the field of ethnoscience studies, and the future of ethnoscience. Ethnoscience encompasses a variety of scientific disciplines, including anthropology, sociology, history, and philosophy of science. One of the main research areas in ethnoscience is the study of indigenous knowledge systems. Ethnoscience also studies the relationship between science and religion. Ethnoscience can help us understand how scientific knowledge is produced and used in different cultural contexts.

Abstract

Blended teaching is prevailing among universities. This teaching mode can improve translation training effectiveness and facilitate the construction of translation discipline. As far as the translation field is concerned, the lack of translation technical resources and their inappropriate application are at the forefront. In response to these problems, this research aims on a systematic literature review: to clarify the concept of "blended teaching"; to build an online teaching platform; to improve the management and evaluation system related to blended teaching in Translation. The research method used is SLR and the PRISMA protocol through the stages which are supported by Publish or Perish 7, Mendeley, VOSviewer, and NVIVO 12 Plus applications. Regarding search results on Scopus, Google Scholar; Semantic Scholar, and Crossref, 875 articles were found, then filtered according to topic to 35 articles. The topic findings are blended translation teaching, higher education, definition, types, and impact of blended teaching, flipped teaching, flip classroom, distance teaching from a lecturer, distance teaching, active teaching, online or online teaching, and face to face faces, directly or indirectly interconnected. The 35 articles from 2019 to 2023 were analyzed according to the topics determined through NVIVO 12 Plus, and the results were described according to the research questions. This SLR puts forward solutions: to clarify the concept of "blended teaching"; to build an online teaching platform; and to improve the management and evaluation system related to blended teaching in higher education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas terkait potret hegemoni Negara menggunakan teori hegemoni Antonio Gramsci pada kumpulan cerpen Corat-coret di Toilet karya Eka Kurniawan. Kumpulan cerpen Eka Kurniawan ini merupakan kumpulan cerpen yang didominasi oleh gambaran masa Orde Baru sehingga mengandung banyak representasi kehidupan masyarakat terkait kritik sosial dan hegemoni negara pada masa itu. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini yaitu, mendeskripsikan bentuk hegemoni negara dalam kumpulan cerpen Corat-coret di Toilet karya Eka Kurniawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitiasn ini menggunakan teknik dengan teknik Hermenutika dalam penganalisisan data. Berdasarkan hasil analisias data dalam penelitian yang dilakukan, terdapat bentuk hegemoni negara yang lengkap dari teori Antonio Gramsci pada kumpulan cerpen Corat-coret di Toilet yaitu terdiri dari bentuk kebudayaan terkait potret wanita di Indonesia, hegemoni yang dilakukan oleh kelas penguasa kepada kelas subordinat, kepercayaan populer atau Common Sense yang terjadi pada kepercayaan pada kedudukan wanita, kaum intelektual yang terdiri dari kaum intelektual tradisional dan organik, serta bentuk negara yang terdiri dari masyarakat sipil dan masyarakat politik.

Abstract

Karakteristik bahasa adalah ciri atau tanda suatu bahasa sebagai pembeda, sehingga menciptakan keunikan dalam ujaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan karakteristik bahasa yang terkandung dalam ujaran pada konten vlog makanan di TikTok melalui pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Peneliti mengkaji bahasa yang bersumber dari konten video bertema kuliner pada akun Tiktok dengan nama pengguna @nanakoot. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik simak dan catat. Sumber data berupa video diamati kemudian ditranskripsi dengan mencatat seluruh ujaran. Data transkripsi direduksi sehingga hanya terkumpul data yang terfokus pada pemecahan masalah. Dalam menganalisis data, peneliti mengelompokkannya ke dalam jenis variasi bahasa serta faktor pengaruh penggunaan bahasa. Hasil penyelidikan ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat enam ciri karakter bahasa yang dipengaruhi oleh latar belakang serta konteks sosial penuturan. Adapun keenam karakteristik bahasa dalam ujaran pada konten vlog makanan milik @nanakoot meliputi penggunaan ragam bahasa daerah, ragam bahasa asing, ragam sosial, ragam akrab, campur kode, serta pengucapan dialek Jawa.
