Abstract

This study identified promotional media that used Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) in previous experiments. The data collection process used to carry out this study presented considerable challenges. This was due to the extensive questionnaire data obtained from MSMEs in halal products. Therefore, a binary rating system was employed to simplify the questionnaire, with 1 and 0 assigned to consideration and contempt, respectively. The EPIC model, which contained four distinct dimensions, was used to produce valuable indicators and allowed measurements within each EPIC dimension. The main focus of this study was the development of AHP modifications that are showed in the calculation of pairwise comparison matrices. The data collection process was much easier and faster because the questionnaire was simple and only took less than 2 minutes. The result showed that social media can effectively substitute traditional advertising in the scenarios mentioned. The most popular alternative for promotion for MSMEs is social media (36%), followed by search engines (30%) and products collaboration (13%).

Abstract

In the period 2018 - 2020 there were 21, 8 and 26 findings of internal fraud cases at Bank Muamalat in the GCG report. Meanwhile, in BNI Syariah there are 8 to 9 findings of internal fraud contained on the official BNI Syariah website. Sharia Bank is a banking institution that is carried out based on sharia principles. Therefore, this study outlines various problems that may cause agency problems in Islamic banks. This research uses ANP research methods to describe problems and find solutions related to Agency Problems in Islamic Banking. The main problem causing the Agency Problem is the lack of supervision on the profit-sharing financing mechanism, in line with the priority of solutions related to agency problems, namely routine supervision related to financing that has been distributed. Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic significantly impacted the economic and educational sectors of Islamic boarding schools. This was particularly due to their perceived lower economic resilience. Therefore, this study aimed to develop a prototype to encourage the establishment of independent pesantrenpreneurs in Indonesia. A descriptive qualitative approach was used to examine the implementation of the One Pesantren One Product (OPOP) program in both mentor and fostered pesantrens. The paradigm of the study followed an interpretive-constructivist framework. The results showed that the success of the Al-Ittifaq Islamic Boarding School in West Java and the Mukmin Mandiri Islamic Boarding School in East Java in managing the pesantrens business could be attributed to several key factors, namely (1) Islamic boarding schools offered superior quality products that aligned with market segmentation, (2) Pesantrens had official and professionally managed business entities, and ensured accountability, (3) A strong network of strategic partners supported the business continuity of pesantrens, (4) The schools adopted creative and innovative approaches to business management, product development, and marketing, (5) Consistent adherence to sharia principles ensured the halalness of products and the incorporation of Islamic values into business processes.

Abstract

The development of the digital economy is an essential part of Indonesia's G20 presidency. We evaluate the digital economy, focusing on blockchain adoption in the financial services industry and buying and selling transactions. Even then, there are still doubts regarding system transformation, information security, and guarantee of traceability, both in terms of data validation in complying with Islamic principles (halal industry). In this issue, we show that the importance of developing blockchain adoption can be developed in the broader field, especially in responding to deindustrialization on the principles of collaboration in digital transformation that are more inclusive, empowering, complying with sharia principles, and sustainable. This research is critical to know as a basis for consideration by government policies, industry, and entrepreneurs in considerations related to blockchain adoption through supply chain management principles that are standardized with the principles of the halal industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the literacy level of public interest in paying cash waqf at waqf institutions in Indonesia. The theory of planned behavior (TPB) was used as the research framework. Structural equation modeling (SEM) to measure the relationship between latent variables, namely religious compliance, involvement of waqf organizations, utilization of media technology tools, elements of education, attitudes, subjective norms, and behavioral control employed as the main analysis technique. The SEM model in this study was processed using SmartPLS 3.0. The results showed that subjective norms and religious observance had a significant effect on interest, elements of education and the utilization of media technology tools had a significant effect on PBC, and the involvement of waqf organizations had a significant effect on attitudes. PBC has a significant negative effect on interest, religious compliance has a significant negative effect on attitudes. Meanwhile, attitude has no significant effect on interest.

Abstract

The application of cash waqf in the general public has not developed widely compared to its considerable potential. This study aims to show how public awareness and inclination of the community in understanding the existence of cash waqf and trying to find normative reasons that become obstacles to the implementation of cash waqf. This study used quantitative methods and by descriptive approach to describe the results through an in-depth discussion. Respondents consisted of 390 people from various backgrounds spread across Indonesia, such as religion, age, education, income, and province. The findings indicate that, in general, the knowledge of the Indonesian people regarding cash waqf is still shallow in the classifications mentioned in this study, because many people still didn’t know well what waqf is. Moreover, most of the respondents stated that infaq is more convenient than waqf. However, this is driven by several obstacles that need to be considered when designing educational and outreach methods in the future. The role of this research is expected to lead to the fulfillment of the potential of cash waqf, which has such a significant function in society. This study could be used as a formulation of a socialization strategy to attract wakif candidates in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the Islamic view of shopping payment transactions on the marketplace which uses electronic money as well as to examine the Islamic view of special offers on certain products that can be purchased using electronic money. The method used in this research is qualitative research with phenomenological studies. The results showed that the majority of the informants agreed that the electronic money they used did not contain elements of usury although there were informants who had a different opinion. The note that we can highlight here is that the marketplace is not a seller, nor is it a representative of the seller. The marketplace is only a medium that brings sellers and buyers together with certain rules. If it is a debt, it means that the customer must not receive any benefits from GoPay. Thus, if GoPay provides discounts for customers who pay via GoPay, then this includes benefits due to debt. Customers get this benefit, because they give GoPay debt.

Abstract

The management of waqf funds doesn’t have to be used for buildings or as vacant land only but can be used as a productive activity. One of them is through the Sheep Farming Productive Waqf program. It’s because sheep's needs are categorized into the community's basic needs. The purpose of this study was to analyze the sheep farm waqf management by MT Farm and the community's perception of the waqf of sheep farm. The development of the livestock waqf program is carried out through the Business Model Canvas approach, which is tested using the SEM Lisrel method. Some of the research methods used include interviews and questionnaire collection. A total of 170 respondents were successfully collected and processed using the overall match test of the variable model, the match test of the measurement model of all variables, and the general match test of the structural equation model. The results of this study shows the standardization value less than ≥1.96 makes several indicators insignificant, including customer relationship indicators, value propositions, channels, and critical resources. This means that public education on sheep farming waqf must continue to be provided so that the livestock waqf management program at MT Farm can be feasible to continue to be developed. In addition, it can help increase the supply of sheep livestock from the land, livestock and operational waqf components simultaneously.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the hybridization that occurs in waqf institutions. We combine a literature review, a case study, and expert opinions. The case study was conducted at the Indonesian Muslim University Waqf Foundation (YWUMI).  Case study data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews with 11 respondents. Requests for expert views were made through focus group discussions with four experts. Hybridization causes them to experience institutional complexity with the coexistence of business logic and Islamic social logic. YWUMI navigates institutional complexity through a structural differentiation strategy in which each unit of logic applies differently. In addition, the internalization of Islamic morality helps them manage organizational hybridity. The use of a hybrid organizational approach and institutional logic will provide insight into waqf management, especially regarding the institutional impact of initiatives to encourage productive waqf management.
