Abstract

The aim of this study was to find out the level of mathematics literacy skills of vocational students in discovery learning using e-worksheets. The research method used is a mix method with a research focus on the mathematical literacy skills of vocational high school students specifically in spatial abilities of geometric transformation material in discovery learning with e-worksheet assisted product assessment. The subjects of this study were students of XI class of Automation and Office Management of SMK Negeri 1 Demak. The qualitative data analysis was carried out by analyzing mathematical literacy skills in terms of students' spatial abilities. The quantitative data were tested by using the One Sample t-test, Paired Sample t-test, and Independent Sample t-test. The results showed that e-worksheet using discovery learning was able to develop students 'mathematical literacy abilities, gave positive responses to students. This study also found that students' spatial abilities would be relevant to their level of mathematical literacy skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the students' mathematical connection ability based on their independent character in Project Based Learning assisted with digital module. The study was conducted using a qualitative method with the research subjects are students of grade XI TAV 1 SMK Negeri 1 Kandeman in the 2019/2020 academic year as many as 36 people. The data were collected by using questionnaire, observation, documentation, and interviews. The data analysis was conducted by data reduction, data display, triangulation, data interpretation, and data conclusion. The result show that the students' independent character has two categories, namely very independent and independent. Students’ mathematical connection ability are varied for both independent character category.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to produce a learning module with mobile augmented reality based on 9E Learning Cycle. This research is a type of research design. The development model used is ADDIE model which consists of five development phases namely analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this study are learning modules that have been installed with QR-code and ModulAR apps that runs on the Android operating system. The results of validation get from experts’ reviewer that consist of 4 mathematics education lecturers and 3 mathematics teachers that showed the predicate of products was valid without revision for use. Then, the module and ModulAR apps has been implemented at SMPN 2 Mantup, Lamongan which involved 68 students who were divided into experimental and control classes. The module and ModulAR apps has received a practical predicate based on the analysis of the practicality questionnaire filled out by experimental class’s students. The use of learning modules with mobile augmented reality based on 9E Learning Cycle is also effective to improve problem solving skills. It can be seen from the average n-gain score obtained 61.10% which is include in the moderate category and the results of the independent-samples t test show that the average of problem solving skills improvement in the experimental class is significantly higher than the control class. The results of expert validation consisting of 4 mathematics education lecturers and 3 SMP / MTs mathematics teachers showed a valid predicate without revision for 8 aspects of validity. The product developed has been implemented at SMPN 2 Mantup, Lamongan which involved 68 students who were divided into experimental and control classes. The product developed has received a practical predicate based on the analysis of the practicality questionnaire filled out by students in the experimental class. The use of learning modules with mobile augmented reality based on the 9E Learning Cycle is also effective in improving problem solving skills. This is based on the average n-gain score of 61.10% which is included in the intermediate category and the results of the comparative test show that the average increase in problem-solving abilities in the experimental class is higher than the control class.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' mathematical creative thinking skills based on mathematical dispositions in creative problem solving learning with an open-ended approach. This research is a mixed method research with a sequential explanatory model. The population in this study were students of class VIII SMP N 3 Pabelan Semarang Regency in the academic year 2020/2021 with a sample of class VIII A and class VIII C as the experimental class and the control class. The research subjects were two students each with high mathematical disposition, medium mathematical disposition and low mathematical disposition. The results showed that students' creative thinking skills in each category of disposition had similarities and differences. All disposition categories have fulfilled the fluency aspect. On the flexibility aspect, only students with high disposition category are fulfilled. Subjects with a low disposition category can only fulfill one and two aspects of creative thinking abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' mathematical reasoning abilities of grade VII based on mathematical resilience in TAI learning with the RME approach assisted by a graphic organizer. The research method used in this study is a mix method with sequential explanatory models. The population in this study were students of class VII MTs Ma'arif 1 Blora academic year 2020/2021 with a sample of class VII C and class VII B as the experimental class and the control class. The research subjects were two students each with high mathematical resilience, moderate mathematical resilience, and low mathematical resilience. The data collection techniques used in this study were tests, documentation, questionnaires, observations, questionnaires, and interviews. The quantitative data were tested by means of the average test, the proportion test, the average difference test and the different proportions test, while the qualitative data were tested with data validity, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion mean The results showed that students in the high mathematical resilience category were able to master all indicators of mathematical reasoning. Students in the mathematical resilience category are less able to make and test mathematical guesses. Students in the mathematical resilience category are unable to make and test mathematical guesses, perform mathematical manipulations and draw conclusions from a statement or fact logically.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the critical thinking ability of mathematical and the character of the responsibility of learners in learning cycle 7E with scaffolding. This research is a type of research combined with concurrent embedded type. Data collection of critical thinking ability is done using the mathematical critical thinking ability test. The character data of responsibility is obtained from the results of the questionnaire of the character of responsibility. The results showed that the quality of LC7E learning with Scaffolding is (1) at the planning stage, the research instruments that had been compiled are valid, (2) at the implementation stage, had well-categorized learning results and get positive responses from learners, and (3) at the assessment stage, meet the effectiveness test. Also, learners with high responsibility characters can achieve six indicators of mathematical critical thinking ability, learners with moderate responsibility characters have varying mathematical critical thinking abilities that are capable of all six indicators of critical thinking ability and some were only capable at four indicators of mathematical critical thinking ability, while learners with low responsibility characters had not been able to achieve six indicators of mathematical critical thinking ability.

Abstract

The application of learning models and the selection of learning assessments affect learning outcomes. Besides that, the use of interactive software can also make it easier for students to understand the concept of geometry. This study aims to explain the quality of mathematics learning and the ability of thinking geometry in terms of students' self-efficacy of learning of problem-based learning models assisted by GeoGebra with self-assessment. The study was conducted with a mixed-method approach. The study population was students of class XI Al-Asror Semarang Vocational School with sample class XI TPTU 1 as an experimental class and XI TPTU 2 as a control class. The results showed that the quality of learning of problem-based learning models assisted by GeoGebra with self-assessment of the ability to think geometry and self-efficacy in class XI Al-Asror Vocational High School Semarang was very good and the ability to think the geometry of students in the high self-efficacy group showed very good categories, self-efficacy was included in the good category, and low self-efficacy included in the good enough category. So of learning model of problem based learning assisted by GeoGebra with self-assessment can improve students' geometry skills and self-efficacy.

Abstract

This study aims was describing students' mathematical literacy abilities based on mathematical habits of mind after being given Quick on the Draw learning with the SPUR approach. This research was a qualitative research. Subject of the research were students of class VII SMP Negeri 5 Borong.The results of the study show that (1) Quick on the Draw model with quality SPUR approach in improving students' mathematical literacy skills (2) Students with high mathematical habits of mind had excellent mathematical literacy skills, namely students were very capable of mastering the components of communication, mathematics, reasoning and argument, as well as formulating and solving problems. Students with mathematical habits of mind were showing good mathematical literacy skills. Students were able to master the components of communication, mathematics, and formulate and solve problems. Meanwhile, those that had not been mastering well are representation, reasoning and arguments, and the use of symbols, formal language, techniques, and operations. Students with low mathematical habits of mind show that literacy skills were still not good. Students only master the communication component well enough. Meanwhile, the other components had not been mastering properly.

Abstract

Problem-solving ability is the ability to solve mathematical problems and is one of the abilities that students must have in order to be skilled in working on math problems. There are factors that support student success in solving problems, including self-efficacy. This study aims to describe the problem solving abilities of students who have high, moderate, high self-efficacy and low seen from the dimensions of magnitude, strength, and generality in mathematics learning with the MMP model with the MiC approach with local cultural nuances.. This research uses a mixed method research type with a concurrent embedded design. Based on the three stages of learning quality, MMP learning with the MiC approach to local culture nuances is quality learning. In the problem solving aspect, students with high self-efficacy were able to understand problems, plan problem solving, implement problem solving plans, and re-examine them with true and complete. Students with moderate self-efficacy are able to understand problems, plan problem solving, but are less able to carry out problem-solving plans and re-check. Students with low self-efficacy are able to understand problems and plan problem solving correctly but incomplete, inadequate in implementing problem-solving plans, and in rechecking, unable to use other methods.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the ability to think algebra with Creative Problem Solving (CPS) integrated 4C based on students' mathematical disposition levels. This research is a mix method with a sequential explanatory design. The population in this study were students of class XI MA Salafiyah Simbang Kulon Pekalongan in the academic year 2020/2021.The results showed that the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) integrated 4C was effective on students' algebraic thinking skills. The results of the descriptions of students with high mathematical disposition categories are able to complete generational, transformational and global meta-level algebraic thinking skills, students with moderate mathematical disposition categories are able to complete generational and transformational algebraic thinking skills, students with low mathematical disposition categories are only able to complete generational level algebra thinking skills
