Abstract

Malang has many tourist attractions, such as beach tourism including Tiga Warna Beach, Batu Bengkung Beach, Goa China Beach, Banyu Anjlok Beach, Sendang Biru Beach, and Balekambang Beach (Kondang Merak Beach). The potential of existing resources and aesthetics has the effort to evaluate the landscape based on the aesthetic value of Kondang Merak Beach. This study aims to determine and assess the visual quality of the Kondang Merak Beach landscape based on the estimation of beauty value through scenic beauty estimation and recommendations for the design model of the Kondang Merak Beach tourism landscape arrangement. The estimated value of the beautiful landscape using a scale of values between 1-10. The classification of values is divided into three categories of beauty value (high, medium, and low categories. The analysis carried out by SBE value is high with a value of 50-86. Medium SBE with a value between 30-49 and low SBE with a value of 0-29. For the high-value category recommended building a gazebo along the coast. For the medium-value recommended to build a guard tower, and for the low-value recommended to make a homestay on vacant land that has not been developed/utilized.

Abstract

Downey mildew is one of the most significant corn diseases that has caused huge losses to farmers and threatened food security. This study aimed to know the effect of Oksatiupiprolin and Thiamethoksam, also the treatment of Fenamidon on Downey mildew attack level. This study used Randomized Complete Blok Design non-factorial consisting of no treatment (P1), Thiamethoksam, 2.5 ml/kg + Fenamidon 6 ml/kg + Mefenoksam 3 ml/kg (P2) and Thiamethoksam 2.5 ml/kg + Okasatiupiprolin 4 ml/kg (P3) each of treatments replicated three times. The result was showed no treatment(P1)and Thiamethoksam2.5 ml/kg + Fenamidon 6 ml/kg + Mefenoksam 3 ml/kg(P2) was not significant to all tested parameters. The Thiamethoksam 2.5 ml/kg + Okasatiupiprolin 4 ml/kg (P3) treatment showed was not significant to the parameter of the number of the plants attacked by disease and healthy plants, attack time, and attack fluctuation, yet the (P3) treatment showed significant to the attack number of disease is 110,2 plants and percentage parameter of Downey mildew is 9,58%.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the income of farmers and analyze the financial feasibility of a pig farming business in Malang Regency. The method used in this research is a case study or case study method. The technique used in sampling is purposive sampling. Analyzing the data is by calculating the amount of income, R/C Ratio, Break Event Point (BEP), and Payback Period (PP). The results show that the average amount received from pig farming is Rp. 3.812.500.000 each year. Financial analysis shows the value of the R/C Ratio is 2.07, BEP production is 1.168.6 Kg, and BEP at Rp. 1.095.562, PP value is one year 29 days.

Abstract

The research aimed to determine the type of foliar fertilizer and container for the flowering phase of lunar orchids. The study was conducted from November 2021 to February 2022, using a completely randomized design with two treatment factors and eight treatment combinations repeated three times. The combinations of these treatments are (a) Type of plastic container and Gandasil B leaf fertilizer 1 g/l (P1G1); (b) Type of plastic container and Gandasil B leaf fertilizer 2 g/l (P1G2); (c) Type of plastic container and Vanda's leaf fertilizer 1 g/l (P1G3); (d) Type of plastic container and Vanda's leaf fertilizer 2 g/l (P1G4); (e) Type of container for coconut coir and Gandasil B leaf fertilizer 1 g/l (P2G1); (f) Type of container for coconut coir and Gandasil B leaf fertilizer 2 g/l (P2G2); (g) Type of container for coconut coir and Vanda's leaf fertilizer 1 g/l (P2G3) and (h) Type of container for coconut coir and Vanda's leaf fertilizer 1 g/l (P2G4). Observations included parameters: number of leaves, leaf width, leaf length, when the stalk appears, stalk length, and number of flowers. The results showed that there is an interaction between the type of container and foliar fertilizer in supporting the flowering of Phalaenopsis sp. This type of coir container with Gardasil B fertilization of 2 g/l can produce flower stalks about seven months after transplanting and at the age of 8 months, the flower stalk length reaches 12 cm with the number of flower buds 2 – 3 buds per plant.

Abstract

Coconut milk hydrolyzed using lipase enzymes (endogenous) produces free fatty acids (lauric acid, capric acid, and myristic acid) and monoglycerides that are useful as anti-bacterial and anti-viral. Hydrolysis for 72 hours at 40 oC produced 25.86% lauric acid and 14% monoglycerides from the total oil. Soybean sprouts contain protein, vitamin E, vitamin B, vitamin C, antioxidants, anthocyanins, and isoflavones which are very good for health. Soybean sprouts contain lipase enzymes. If coconut milk mixed with soybean sprout extract is then incubated, the hydrolysis process will be faster so that the amount of free fatty acids produced is higher. This study aimed to study the proportion of coconut milk with soybean sprout extract and incubation time on the quality of health drinks from coconut milk and soybean sprouts. The study used two factors arranged in a factorial manner. The first factor is the ratio of coconut milk with soybean sprout extract 100%: 0%: 75%: 25% and 50: 50%. The second factor is the incubation time (hydrolysis) which is 24, 38, and 72 hours at 40 oC. The results showed that the ratio of coconut milk with soybean sprout extract had no significant effect on levels of free fatty acids, N-amino, taste, color, and aroma. While the incubation time significantly affects free fatty acids, N-amino, taste, and smell. Health drinks from coconut milk and soybean sprout extract with a ratio of 75%: 25% incubation time (hydrolysis) 48 hours is the best treatment with a free fatty acid content of 0.74% N-amino 0.158%, taste score of 4.3 (like), color 3,9 (like) and scent 4 (like).

Abstract

The research aimed to study the interaction between the effects of various types of mulch and fertilizers on the growth and production of long beans. The research used a randomized block design, Factor I type of mulch consisting of 3 levels: M0 = No mulch, M1 = black and silver plastic mulch, and M2 = Straw mulch. Factor II is the type of fertilizer: including P1 = NPK Mutiara 600 kg/ha, P2 = biological Petrobio 90 kg/ha, P3 = NPK Mutiara 50% + biological Petrobio 50%. The results showed the effects of various types of mulch and fertilizers have significant interaction between the growth of leaf number and fruit weight of long beans, namely M1P3 (black silver mulch and application of 50% pearl fertilizer and 50% biological Petrobio).

Abstract

It is important to take wise and appropriate actions in responding to the presence of plant-disturbing organisms in cultivated plants, especially rice plants. Farmers often use chemical pesticides to combat pests. They often use these pesticides excessively without regard for the pest to trying control, which may have unfavorable effects such as degrading the quality of the environment and endangering human and animal health. Organic farming practices have recently become more common in the agricultural industry. Organic agricultural goods that only use natural ingredients as fertilizers and insecticides are starting to replace agricultural products that used to use chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Using pesticides carelessly and inappropriately can harm your health, the environment, and the ecological balance. The aim of this research is to find out the types of botanical pesticides and solid organic fertilizers that are effective in controlling rice plant pests and as an effort to increase production. In this research used two variables were used in a factorial randomized block design. Neem leaves, soursop leaves, and papaya leaves are some examples of the many forms of botanical insecticides. Solid organic fertilizer is the second aspect (cow, goat, and chicken manure). The collected findings show that treatment with a mixture of chicken manure and vegetable insecticides from neem leaves showed the best effect in reducing the percentage of pest attacks on rice plants. In addition, it can improve plant development to increase the productivity of rice plants.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the growth and production of butternut squash, through branch pruning and the application of goat biourin and POC of rice washing water. The first factor of pruning (P) consists of (P1) pruning branches 1-5, (P2) pruning branches 1-6, and (P3) pruning branches 1-7. The second factor is liquid organic fertilizer (C) consisting of: (C1) control, (C2) goat biourin, and (C3) POC of rice washing water. Each treatment combined into nine combinations of replications and repeated three times. The results showed that the combination of pruning branches 1-6 and goat biourin (P2C2) have a good effect on the growth of honey gourd. The best butternut squash yields were the combination of pruning branches 1-6 and POC of rice washing water (P2C3) with the highest fruit weight gain..

Abstract

This study aimed was to determine the factors that influence consumers in buying broiler meat partially and simultaneously at the Landungsari Market, Malang Regency. The independent variables studied were the price of broiler meat, chicken meat free-range price, the price of broiler eggs, promotion, service, and location. Dependent on the variable in this study is consumer purchasing decisions consisting of consumer satisfaction, consumer loyalty, and giving recommendations to others to come to buy broiler meat at the Landungsari Market. The data used in the research are primary data and secondary data. The data was obtained from the tabulation of raw data through a questionnaire of 100 respondents and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The result shows that all factors in the research variables correlate with consumers buying broiler meat at the Landungsari Market. The most dominant variable is free-range chicken meat price has become a partial influence on consumer purchasing decisions in buying broiler meat at the Landungsari Market. Variable factors that influence simultaneously or together sequentially according to the percentage value are free-range chicken meat, the broiler meat price, service, egg price, location of purchase, and promotional factors. All variables give a positive contribution and influence together of 0.511 with a tolerance limit of 0.05%.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to know the effect of the combined use of seed tuber size and row spacing on the growth and yield of shallots. The experiment used a Randomized Block Design with two factors and three replications. The first factor was the use of seed tuber size consisting of three levels:  U1: small, U2; medium, and U3: large and the second factor is spacing in the row, namely: D1 : 15 cm, D2 : 20 cn and D3 : 25 cm. Parameters observed: plant height, number of leaves, tuber diameter, number and weight of tubers per hill. The results showed that the interaction between seed tuber size and row spacing had no significant effect on all of the observed parameters. The size of the seed tubers and the spacing in rows had a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, tuber diameter, and number and weight of tubers per hill. Medium and large tuber sizes resulted in tuber diameter, number, and tuber weight per hill being the same and higher than small seed tuber sizes. Row spacing of 15 cm produced the lowest, while the spacing of 25 cm produced the highest diameter, number, and weight of tubers per clump and was significantly different from other treatments.
