Abstract

During the pandemic covid-19 era, teachers felt difficulties in adjusting their learning activities. This study aims to determine the implementation of clinical supervision in improving the quality of learning at SDIQu Al-Bahjah during the pandemic. Through a descriptive qualitative research approach, it was found that implementing clinical management at SDIQu Al-Bahjah during the pandemic was almost the same as implementing it in standard times. What distinguishes it is the findings. In the observation process, it was found that there was a mismatch between the agreed criteria and the learning actions carried out by the teacher. In the first cycle, the majority of teachers felt less prepared in terms of facilities in teaching. Of the 20 teachers, 18 people have not mastered online learning techniques, 12 people have not compiled the learning media needed during the pandemic. In the next cycle, there was significant progress. Almost all teachers had facilitated their learning needs. They can apply online learning with the media used. In the following process, observation is focused on maximizing the learning media on the learning functions that can be achieved. After several clinical supervision cycles, teachers successfully solved their learning problems and were more motivated to improve their professional competence continuously.

Abstract

This study analyzes the relationship and scale of influence in the school environment toward students' tolerance. This research was conducted in Senior High School State 8 Yogyakarta. The population was all 809 students. The sampling technique used in this research is probability sampling with the method stratified random sampling so that the respondents were obtained, 271 students. The independent variable was in the school environment, and the dependent variable was in the form of tolerance. The data was collected used a questionnaire. The data has been collected and analyzed using bivariate correlation analysis and simple linear regression correlation using SPSS version 16. The bivariate correlation analysis was produced a correlation coefficient of 0.43 and a significance value of 0. It showed the relationship between school environment and tolerance with enough correlation categorize so that Ha accepted and H0 rejected. Meanwhile, regression similarity Y = 37.621 + 0.525 X. The significance value of the regression test was of 0, t-count > t-table = 7.815 > 1.968. So, Ha accepted, and H0 rejected. The school environment influences students' formation tolerance in Senior High School State 8 Yogyakarta of 53%.

Abstract

The cause of the decrease quality of education is the problem of school effectiveness. This study examines the variable model of school effectiveness on leadership behavior, school environment climate, and teacher performance. The research approach uses quantitative and correlational types. The population of this research is the teachers of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri in Malang City. The sampling technique is a saturated sample or census. The data collection tool is a questionnaire. Questionnaire statements assess on a Likert scale. Validity compares with calculated r-value with r table for Degree of Freedom (df) = n-k at Alpha 0.05. The reliability test carries with using the Cronbach Alpha test. Data analysis uses Partial Least Square (PLS) to analyze Outer Model and Inner Model data along with Bootstrapping. In the research findings, leadership behavior has a significant effect on teacher performance, and school climate has no impact on teacher performance. Principal leadership behavior and teacher performance affect the effectiveness of madrasas. Another finding is that an indirect effect between leadership behavior through teacher performance. There is no direct influence between school climate through teacher performance. School effectiveness is determined by teacher performance.

Abstract

One of the improvements in the quality of education is the fulfillment of the needs for facilities and adequate, quality, and ready-to-use educational infrastructure. So as for the impact of the lack of proper infrastructure of school institutions, namely that it can reduce student achievement in learning activities, especially in class. Therefore, to improve the quality of education in schools, management of facilities and infrastructure is needed to meet the needs of the student learning process at school. This study aims to determine the implementation of total quality management in improving the quality of infrastructure in schools. This research using library research with analytical study methods (library research), namely research carried out using a library alias literature, either in the form of notes, books, journals, or reports of previous research results. The analytical study used is content analytical and analytical descriptions of total quality management to improve infrastructure at school. The results of this study indicate that the facilities and infrastructure at the school are inadequate standards. Therefore, the use of infrastructure in the learning process must also be improved, as an increase in service quality continuously meets the reality and expectations for customers.

Abstract

Filtering the abundance of information is done by providing information literacy skills. Information literacy skills need to be possessed by every student at school age to manage information as needed. The school library is one of the facilities that can equip students' information literacy skills. The school library seeks programs and activities related to information literacy. This study examines the efforts made by the library to develop information literacy skills. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The research was conducted at the Ganesha Library of SMA Negeri 1 Jetis Bantul Yogyakarta. Research informants are the head of the library, deputy head of the library, librarians, teachers of reading interest, and students. The data collection techniques are used by observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed by data reduction, display data, and conclusion—the validity of the data used by triangulation of sources. The results showed that (1) Students at SMA Negeri 1 Jetis Bantul Yogyakarta had information literacy skills developed with the support of the Ganesha Library. (2) The efforts made by the Ganesha Library to develop students' information literacy skills are through library programs and activities, the role of librarians, the role of teachers, and the empowerment of human resources. The literacy skills possessed by students help them sort out information according to their needs, especially for the development of their academic activities.

Abstract

Teachers have an essential role in determining the success of education. Teacher performance is of particular concern in the world of education. This study examines the influence of madrasah principal leadership, work environment, and work motivation on teacher performance. The research approach uses a quantitative approach with a correlational type. The population in this study were Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri teachers throughout Pidie Jaya Regency, Aceh Province. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The data collection is a questionnaire measured by a Likert Scale. The validity test was calculated by comparing the r-table at a significant level of 0.05 with degrees of freedom (n-2). The reliability test was carried out using Cronbach Alpha. Data analysis used Partial Least Square to analyze the outer Model, Inner Model, and Bootstrapping. The results showed that the leadership of the madrasah principal had a significant positive effect on work motivation, the work environment has a significant positive impact on teacher work motivation, and the principal’s leadership also has a significant positive impact on teacher performance. The teacher’s work environment has a negative and insignificant effect on teacher performance, while work motivation has a positive and minor impact on teacher performance. Another finding is that there is no indirect effect between the principal’s leadership on teacher performance through work motivation. There is no indirect effect of the work environment on teacher performance through work motivation. Excellent leadership role, well-environment and high work motivation will optimize the teacher performance.

Abstract

Internship is a stage of education in Vocational High Schools that trains students to adapt to the business world and practice the competencies they learn in school directly in the industrial world. But unfortunately, not all vocational students who take part in internship programs in the industrial world can be well received. This study wants to look more deeply into how strategic management empowers Vocational High Schools in preparing students for the internship. This research uses mixed methods, more specifically the Embedded Design. Samples were taken randomly as many as 61 teachers and 353 students using the random sampling technique. Through SPACE Matrix analysis, it is known that the appropriate strategy in developing schools is to support an aggressive approach, namely by implementing the SO (Strategy to use power to reach opportunity) strategy. So it can be explained that the profile of Vocational High School 1 Kademangan is stable and can continue to prepare internship students with plans to take advantage of existing opportunities to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

This research discusses the management of the Quran learning curriculum at Integrated-Islamic Elementary School of Luqman Al-Hakim Yogyakarta. This research is field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The research data was taken from various scientific writings, school curriculum documents, field observation notes, and interviewees determined by non-probability sampling and purposive sampling. The data were tested by data triangulation and analyzed using the Miles & Huberman technique: (a) data reduction, (b) data presentation, (c) conclusion and verification. The results: The Quran learning curriculum is a set of educational program plans, target achievements, and learning strategies that are carried out so that students read the Quran Tartil and have three juz of memorization. The curriculum management process includes planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating.

Abstract

The pandemic COVID-19 has opened new horizons in all parts of the world, including in education. Educational institutions must make breakthroughs related to the number of student admissions, which has decreased significantly, especially at Vocational School of Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. The purpose of this study was to find a promotion model for student admissions from a neuroscience perspective at Vocational School of Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. This study uses a qualitative method. The subjects of this study were the principal, the vice principal for student affairs, the vice principal for public relations, the head of the admission committee, and the prospective students. Researchers used observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, display data, and conclusion drawing/verification data. This study indicates that neuroscience as a brain approach (cortex prefrontal) can attract the sympathy of prospective new students to study at Vocational School of Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. It is a solution to meet the target group for majors at school. This research has implications for school management and Islamic education management in student admission department.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of transformational leadership on innovative behavior through psychological empowerment as a mediation variable. This study used quantitative methods. The data collected by interviews and questionnaires. The samples were taken using a saturated model from 42 responden of student association of Islamic Education Management Study Program, UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. The data were analyzed using descriptive, regression, and path analysis. The results showed that transformational leadership significantly influenced students' innovative behavior directly or mediated by psychological empowerment variables. The resulting impact of pathway coefficients on psychological empowerment has a considerable effect on the innovative behavior of students with a p-values value of 0.003 < from 0.05; transformational leadership has a substantial impact on innovative behavior through psychological empowerment with a p-values value of 0,000 > 0.05. It shows that improving students' innovative behavior can be achieved with transformational leadership roles through psychological empowerment variable in student association of Islamic Education Management Study Program, UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. The association of students are expected to pay attention to students needs and activities, create a comfortable organizational environment to optimizing student activities.
