Abstract

General purpose of this research is to get information about mastery of mathematics concept and improvement the ability of senior high school 11 in Banda Aceh student in creative thinking with Problem Posing model. Understanding the concept is the ability of students to repeat and link the concept that has been studied with the material being studied. Creative thinking is the ability to reason organically and evaluate the quality of a reason systematically. Problem Posing learning model is one form of cooperative learning model that emphasizes the participation and activities of students to find their own material (information) lessons to be learned through the materials available. This research was conducted in senior high school 11 in Banda Aceh especially class XII-IPA1 as experiment class and XII-IPA2 as sample class. The research type is experiment with quantitative approach. Instrument test in the form of a description of 4 questions with the highest value of 100 and the lowest 0. The instrument is used to determine the ability mastery of concepts and creative thinking of students. Before being used to test the students 'creative thinking ability in the implementation of the research, the test questions are tested to other schools to know the validity, reliability, power of the pretest and posttest. Technique data processing is analyzed with quantitative statistics tests students' creative thinking ability. For data processing researcher using SPSS 17.0. Normality test results can be seen the value of pretest class expression and control class sig. = 0.300; 0.120> 0.05 means both classes are normally distributed. Based on the calculation, the value of sig (2-tailed) = 0.002 / 2 = 0.001 shows that sig. (1-tailed) <0,05 so it can be concluded that the improvement of concept comprehension and creative thinking of experimental class students is better than improvement of student's creative thinking conventional class.

Abstract

Futsal is a sports ball played by two teams, each consisting of five players with the aim of inserting a ball into the opponent's goal using the foot, head, and all parts of the body except the hand. As a sport favored by various circles, especially students are important for players to understand the concept and basic techniques of the game Futsal itself. Therefore, this research aims to determine the level of understanding students of Abulyatama University's classification of Futsal. The approach used in this study is qualitative which is descriptive. Samples in the study of 30 people. Data collection is done with a poll consisting of 22 questions in the form of Likert scale with the option of the answer consists of very understanding, understanding, lack of understanding, inunderstanding and very ununderstanding. Data analysis uses frequency distribution formula. The results showed that the student understanding level of Abulyatama University's targeting of the Futsal game with an average of 89.8 is in high category with the following details; (1) As many as 26 respondents were in high category with a percentage rate of 86.66%, as many as 4 respondents were in medium category with a percentage rate of 13.33% and there was no at all the university's health and recreation physical education students Abulyatama belongs to the low category with a percentage rate of 0%. Thus, the level of understanding needs to be maintained by students and the contractor of Abulyatama University's classification study Program to minimize both the study and when performing Futsal game.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of the policy of the learning freedom in the learning process at the collage of IAKN Kupang. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach and data sources totaling 5 people, namely 3 lecturers and 2 students, with data collection techniques namely interviews and analyzed with data triangulation techniques.The results of the research related to the implementation of freedom of learning in the learning process at the collage of IAKN Kupang, it can be concluded that the implementation of learning freedom that occurs in the learning process that lecturers and students are still accustomed to conventional learning that positions lecturers as the main actors while students are considered as objects of learning. Student success is measured by the extent to which students have mastered learning material not the extent to which students have undertaken the learning process. Therefore, mastery of subject matter is not the end of the teaching process, but only as a goal between the formation of broader behavior.Keywords: policy implementation; freedom of learning; learning process

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve: (1) the quality of ecological learning about Environmental Pollution through problem-based learning, (2) analyzing the improvement of ecological learning outcomes about Environmental Pollution through problem-based learning. This research is a class action research. The research design uses the Kemmis & Tagart stages which consist of 4 stages (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The research sample was students of class X MIPA 2 in SMA Negeri 1 Bulu in the 2018/2019 academic year. Data collection techniques using test and questionnaire techniques. Data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis.The problem based learning model (PBM) can improve student learning outcomes. This can be seen in the first cycle there is an increase to 75%, and in the second cycle to 100% with indicators of achievement of learning achievement that exceeds the stipulated 80% of students with a minimum score of 75. (2) Ecological competence of students in learning shows an increase in grades an average of 61.64 in the first cycle to 70.39 in the second cycle. Conclusions (1) the quality of learning is indicated by the learning process by using a questionnaire with indicators of the number of students 75% have good criteria. (2) ecological learning outcomes for students in problem-based learning can improve student learning outcomes in Biology subjects can be seen in increasing mastery learning in the pre cycle only reached 3.7% in the first cycle the value of classical completeness reached 75% and the value of classical completeness in cycle II reached 100%

Abstract

Teachers are profession that requires special skills. The existence of the teachers for a nation is very important especially for the survival of the nation in the middle of the journey of the increasingly sophisticated technology era, all the changes as well as the shifts of. It brings consequences to the teacher to improve his or her role and competence. The Principal conducts the academic supervision to provide the assistance in the development and improvement of the teachers' performance in order to achieve national education objectives. Professional teachers have teaching experience, intellectual capacity, morals, faith, devotion, discipline, responsibility, broad educational insight, managerial skills, skilled, creative, professional openness in understanding potential, characteristics and developmental problems of the learners, able to develop the study plan and career of the learners and have the ability to research and develop the curriculum. The purpose of this study is to measure the improvement of the teachers’ performance in preparing syllabus and RPP after individual supervision technique. It has been done to the teachers who have compiled syllabus and RPP in previous year and the teachers who have not yet compiled syllabus and RPP. This research was conducted by classroom action research in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The researcher carried out the academic supervision. It includes traditional supervision and clinical supervision. The subjects of this study were all the classroom teachers and the subject teachers in SD Negeri 50 Kota Banda Aceh. The totatal numbers of the sample was 23 teachers. The results showed that there is an increasing in the teachers’ competence in preparing syllabus and RPP through individual supervision techniques in SD Negeri 50 Banda Aceh city. The teachers’ activities in the preparation of syllabus and RPP which are complete and systematic in the second cycle is better than at the first cycle.

Abstract

A good teaching process is highly coveted by the community so that the achievement of results is maximum. Learning about biochemistry in high school must be done with teaching materials found in everyday life. Biochemical teaching material consists of carbohydrates which are divided into three groups, namely monosaccharide, disaccharide and polysarida. The second material is fat which is divided into two types when viewed from the source, namely animal fat (animal) and plant fat (vegetable). When viewed from chemical bonds also divided into two, namely saturated fat and unsaturated fat. The next material is a protein that functions to replace damaged cells, development in brain cells and as a biocatalyst.

Abstract

National Education, which conducted the government, is determined by school administrators. One of the efforts carried out by the government is upgrading the teacher’s professionalism in the learning-teaching process that can improve student achievement. The learning method, which is presented by the teacher, should be student-centered learning, not teacher-centered. In the concept of CTL, through the model of using organs, the learning outcome is expected to be more useful for the students. One of the CTL learning, which activates students in the study, is modeling. This research aims to know the enhancement of student’s learning outcomes used CTL learning through modeling using human reproductive system material. This research was conducted at third-grade students of MTsN 1 Banda Aceh, with the data were obtained on August 2nd, 2018. The classroom action research (CAR) used two-cycle, where the assessment instrument are learning achievement test questions and observation sheet. The data analysis in the research used descriptive statistics. The result of this research is the average score of student's daily test in class IX-7 at cycle one that does not use modeling 69,63 with completeness 8,33% and incomplete 91,66%. Meanwhile, at cycle two, the average of the daily test used the modeling  82,83 with completeness 88,88% and incomplete 11,11%, where the learning mastery score is 80. This data proved that CTL learning with modeling, which used organs in human reproductive system material, can increase student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Character education is education that develops and instills national character in students so that they have values and character as their own character, apply these values in their own lives, as members of society, and citizens who are religious, nationalist, productive, and creative. The purpose of this study was to determine the process of character education that is integrated with Mathematics learning for class XI MAN Model Banda Aceh. Respondents included principals of madrasahs, wakasek in the curriculum field, teachers of Mathematics subjects, and XI grade students. Data collection methods used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The research data was tested with a qualitative descriptive method to determine the Character Education in the Mathematics Learning Process of Class XI MAN Model Banda Aceh. The results showed that the integration of character education was carried out in the form of learning process activities. The model used is the Cooperative Learning model because it shows character values such as cooperation, responsibility, never giving up, working hard. The integration of character education in the Mathematics learning process in the MAN Model Banda Aceh is carried out starting from the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages of learning where the character values instilled and developed by mathematics teachers are religious, disciplined, honesty, unyielding, curiosity height and responsibility

Abstract

Interaction is one of the important activities in language teaching learning process. The teacher needs approach and technique that can make the students creative, interactive and more enthusiastic in speaking classroom. One of the interactive techniques is a small group work. Therefore, the researcher adapted small group work technique. The purposes of the study are to find out the problems faced by the students in speaking and to find out that teaching speaking by using small group will be effective in solving the problems faced by students. The method which was used in this study was quantitative experimental research. The population of this study at the first grade students of SMAN 1 Krueng Barona Jaya. The researcher used random sample. The researcher took two classes, those are X-IA3 and X-IA2. The number of sample of this research are 14 students for each class. Class X-IA3 was experimental class and class X-IA2 was as control class. The data was analyzed by using statistical formula. The problems that are generally faced by students in speaking skill are their inability in expressing their idea and afraid of making mistake. The result shows that interactive language teaching by using small group work is very effective in improving student’s speaking skill . It is based on the result of t-score which is higher than t-table. The value of the t-table list found =2.15 and t-score = 3.04. It means the hypothesis can be accepted. It indicates that the first grade students of SMA 1 Krueng Barona Jaya who are taught speaking by using small group work get higher score than the students who are taught without using small group work. Based on the result of the study, the researcher suggests to use small group technique in teaching speaking because it can increase the students' achievement in speaking skill.

Abstract

The research was conducted in order to know the effectiveness of using Jigsaw technique in improving students’ ability in writing narrative text. The aims of this research were to what extent the effectiveness of Jigsaw technique in improving students’ ability in writing narrative and to find out the students’ responses about the application of Jigsaw technique in the learning process.  This research used Pre-Experimental research and used one group pretest-posttest. Test and questionnaire were utilized as the research instruments. The result of this research indicated that the mean score of the students in pretest before they were taught using the Jigsaw technique was 40,5. While the mean score of the students in writing narrative text after they were taught using the Jigsaw technique was 69,75. The t-score was 15,41 meanwhile, t-table with significant level 5% was 2,093. It meant that the t-score was higher than the t-table. From this result shown, Ha was accepted. It can be concluded that using the Jigsaw technique is effective to improve the students’ ability in writing narrative text.
