Abstract

To generate motivation to learn in mathematics lessons must choose the right method. The method chosen in learning must be a method with a student-centered approach so that students feel more compelled to participate actively in learning. The scientific approach is an approach with basic concepts that accommodate, inspire, strengthen, and underlie thoughts about how learning methods are applied based on certain theories. The set material taught in grades VII-6 of SMP Negeri 2 Deli Tua with a scientific approach is deemed appropriate so that it will be used in this study as a way to increase students' motivation to learn on the set material. The purpose of this study was to increase students' motivation in learning mathematics through a scientific approach in class VII-6 of SMP Negeri 2 Deli Tua for the 2019/2020 academic year. The results of the study show that the scientific approach can increase students' learning motivation on the set material. Data on learning outcomes in cycle 1 is 72.5% of students who complete learning and in cycle 2 it increases to 85%. It can be concluded that the use of the scientific approach in increasing student learning motivation in group learning in grades VII-6 of SMP Negeri 2 Deli Tua for the 2019/2020 academic year is right on target.

Abstract

The main objective of sustainable development is to meet basic human needs while maintaining the life support systems of planet earth. In everyday life, building awareness of the environment can be pursued through education. To support the commitment of the community and international government in efforts to protect the earth from pollution and damage by implementing Environmental Education, which is the key to preparing people with expertise, knowledge, values and attitudes to care for the environment so that they can actively participate in solving environmental problems. With the role of counseling teachers through group guidance services which are expected to provide understanding and knowledge of students about the character of caring for the environment. This study is to determine how the role of the counselor in improving the character of environmental care through group guidance services with a problem-based learning model.This research method used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-post-test control group design. shows that there is a difference in the average posttest data on students' caring attitudes between the experimental class and the control class. This is evidenced by the value of tcount 7.023 <ttable 2.02 and a significant (p value) of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05. So it can be concluded that the statistical results with the t test show that there is a significant difference between the caring attitude of the experimental class students and the control class students' caring attitude at the time of the post-test. It can be explained that the implementation of group guidance services has been carried out by the counselor very well through the implementation of all syntax indicators by the teacher with an average total implementation of 87.63% with a very good category.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain data and practical information about the effectiveness and efficiency of the SSCS  model and PBL model on learning outcomes of the cognitive sphere and generic science skills of Class X Students of SMAN 4 Kendari. This research is quasi-experimental with a quantitative descriptive form that uses two classes to be used as research objects without a control class. The sample was taken by purposive random sampling technique, class X MIA8 and class X MIA9 study with SSCS model and class X MIA2 and class X MIA5 study with PBL model. Research data is obtained through 1) Observation of learning and science generic skills; 2) LOC and KGS tests in multiple-choice, and 3) Documentation. Data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS 16.0 at α = 0.05. The results of data analysis show: 1) The SSCS and PBL model show relative effectiveness 30,30% for the LOC and 116,29% for the SGS; 2) the SSCS shows the efficiency of 85,04% for the LOC and 20,3% for the SGS; while the PBL shows the efficiency of 67,6% % for the LOC and 42,3% for the SGS; 3) There is a significant difference in the average scores of the LOC of learners who are studying with the SSCS model and the PBL model; 4) There is a significant difference in the average scores of the SGS of learners who are studying with the SSCS model and the PBL model; 5) There is a significant difference in the mean value of N-gain LOC learners who are studying with the SSCS model and the PBL model, and 6) There was a significant difference in the mean value of N-gain SGS learners who studied with the SSCS model and the PBL model. The conclusion: The PBL model provides relatively better effectiveness than the SSCS model of HBK and KGS. Therefore, it is recommended to physics teachers in schools use SSCS models and PBL models on materials that require labs to improve the knowledge and skills of learners

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis jumlah dana yang dialokasikan dan direalisasikan dari anggaran pendapatan dan belanja kabupaten (APBK) pada sektor pendidikan di kabupaten Pidie Jaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif sedangkan pendekatan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Kantor Dinas Pendidikan dan Kantor Dinas Pendapatan dan Pengelolaan Keuangan dan Aset Daerah (PPKAD) Kabupaten Pidie Jaya, sedangkan yang menjadi objek penelitian ini adalah anggaran pendapatan dan belanja sektor pendidikan Kabupaten Pidie Jaya tahun anggaran 2012-2015. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah data dokumentasi dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan rumus efektivitas Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alokasian APBK Pidie Jaya untuk sektor pendidikan melebihi amanat undang-undang yaitu mencapai 26,39%-35,56% setiap tahunnya, tetapi dari sejumlah anggaran itu lebih banyak dialokasikan untuk jenis belanja tidak langsung dengan komponen belanja pegawai yang mencapai 82,15%-85,47% dari total anggaran pendidikan setiap tahunnya. Tingkat realisasi anggaran mencapai 95,20%-98,87% setiap tahunnya, hal ini menunjukkan realisasi anggaran yang efektif dengan pencapaian realisasi diatas 90%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the schoology application to improve student learning independence for ease and access, effectiveness and efficiency as well as being creative and innovative in the learning process of the Education Management course. This research is a quantitative study with a research sample of 35 people, the data collection technique uses a questionnaire with quantitative description analysis techniques. This research was conducted at the State Christian Religious Institute (IAKN) Kupang. The results showed that the regression coefficient value of the Schoology variable was positive at 0.414 or had an effect of 41.4%. This means that the effect of schoology on independent learning is positive and significant. Increasing schoology will increase students 'learning independent ability and schoology decrease will decrease students' learning independent ability. So that it can be used by students in the learning process

Abstract

Phenomenological Study of the Impact of Christian Education on Shifting Nobility in East Sumba, Trijuliani Renda, M.Si. Kupang State Christian Institute. The research aims to describe 1) the model of Christian Religious Education in Sumbanese culture, 2) the form of degree shift in social stratification in East Sumba, and 3) the impact of Christian religious education on the shift in the nobility of the Sumbanese people in social, political and economic life. The method used in this research is qualitative. This research was taken using observation, in-depth interviews and documentation review. The results of the study prove that the Christian religious education model respects the context and is centered on Christ. The form of the title shift is evolutive when viewed from the perspective of modern society but becomes chaos for indigenous peoples. The impact in social life is the creation of Christian spiritual values in society. Political Impact there is the term political axis/political maramba/nobels for those who have positions in government so that the community without limits pursues every achievement in life including politics, while the economic impact of the creation of a modern society with local packaging so that nobles are equated with ownership of goods and services. There was a title shift in East Sumba and this title shift towards a positive direction where through Christian religious education everyone is touched without limits to push up every stage to be achieved for freedom and equality.

Abstract

educators have a strategic role in learning and have a very strong function in creating the next generation. Whether or not an education is qualified depends on the educator.therefore an educator must have the ability and professionalism in carrying out the task. And this is not separated or in accordance with the rules and laws that apply. The purpose of this study is to analyze about the improvement of competence and professionalism of teachers.the methods used in the research are qualitative with a descriptive approach. While the results of the research that is known by the existence of a rule governing the implementation of improved skills educators, an educator more active and creative later and educators will have extensive knowledge to achieve educational goals..

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze students' misconceptions of mathematical literacy in solving PISA questions in terms of metacognition and gender. This research is qualitative exploratory research with the topics presented are related to PISA questions. Data collection techniques began with the provision of metacognition questionnaires, PISA mathematical literacy questions and interviews. The subjects of this study were students of class XI SMAN 1 Pamarican who were selected purposively. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. In this study, the focus of research is the misconception of students' mathematical literacy according to 6 levels of mathematical literacy competence in solving PISA questions in terms of metacognition classified based on metacognition (low), and a review of gender (male and female). The results showed that the misconception of metacognition classification was not good enough for men to have misconceptions at level 2, while women experienced a misconception of strategies at level 1. In addition, men and women were caused by wrong intuition. The solution for boys is that students do not think this problem is easy. The information that already known and written checked again, whether used or not and the calculation operation is correct. Meanwhile, the solution for women is to identify the sentence in the problem and start thinking using simple mathematical calculation formulas, such as performing mathematical arithmetic operations.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of student achievement in class VII on the material of vibration, waves and sound through the application of the Cooperative Script learning model. This research is a class action research conducted in 2 cycles. Each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this class action research were students of class VIII even semester of SMP Private Gema Bukit Barisan Tanjung Morawa, totaling 32 people. While the object is the Cooperative Script learning model. From the research conducted by examining the initial conditions of students as measured by written tests and the results of classroom action research with 2 cycles, it was seen that there was an increase in learning outcomes achieved by students in mastering the material of vibration, waves and sound. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that in cycle 1 the number of students who have not completed as many as 24 people or 75% and only 8 students or 25% have completed, and in cycle 2 students who have completed the material on vibrations, waves and sound increased to 29 people or 90 ,63% and 3 people who have not been completed or 9.37%. This is influenced by teachers and students who are accustomed to using cooperative script learning models so that students become active in receiving lessons

Abstract

Muhammadiyah University as an educational institution under the auspices of the Muhammadiyah union has a central role in creating the quality of students excel in the world of education. Among academics a structured system of education (teaching and learning process) becomes inseparable. The implementation of e-learning method seems to be a necessity in the massive 4.0 era of information technology. The purpose of this research is to know the standardization of the application of e-learning methods at muhammadiyah university in Sumatra through a media portal that is often called SIAK or (academic information system) for Hidology courses that will be found by civil engineering students in semester 3 and will be continued in hydraulics courses in semesters 4 and 5. The research method used in the form of meta-analysis method where the research was conducted using the results of previous research to produce conclusions with qualitative descriptive analysis. The result of this study is the media of e-learning implementation in accordance with scorm standardization, namely Schoology and e-learning portal. This indicates that Muhammadiyah University in Sumatra has been maximized in the application of standardization of e-learning concept in each course and accumulated in each material.
