Abstract

Hypertension is a serious medical condition that can increase the risk of heart failure, chronic kidney disease, brain disease and others. Hypertension is a major risk factor for global death. Uncontrolled hypertension was defined as a measure of systolic blood pressure ≥140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure ≥90 mmHg based on the mean of three measurements in hypertensive patients and with or without antihypertensive treatment. Chronic disease management (Prolanis) is a proactive and integrated program that involves participants, health facilities, especially health centers and the national health insurance called BPJS which aims to encourage patients with chronic diseases to achieve optimal quality of life. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors associated with the incidence of uncontrolled hypertension in Prolanis patients in Semarang City. This study used case control method. The research sample consisted of 148 respondents (74 cases and 74 controls) with a purposive sampling technique. The technique of collecting data by interview using a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using the chi-square  test and logistic regression. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the variables of age (p = 0.003), education (p = 0.032), stress (p = 0.023) and cholesterol levels (p = 0.008) with the incidence of uncontrolled hypertension in Prolanis patients in Semarang City. The most related variable was age (p = 0.028. OR = 3.469). Increasing age related to risk factors for hypertension is supported by the presence of psychological problems such as stress, can be reduced by spiritual activity and the provision of health education about changes in the cardiovascular system and adaptation to lifestyle changes will be able to reduce uncontrolled hypertension factors.

Abstract

The problem of stunting is what illustrates the existence of chronic nutritional problems directly affecting health. Stunting in adolescents leads to decreased reproduction, increased risk of obesity, reduced concentration of learning, and degenerative diseases in the future. Adolescents need to obtain access to information and education about stunting. The purpose of this study analyzed the direct and indirect effect of knowledge factors and activity patterns of stunting in adolescents through nutritional patterns. This study was an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional design. The number of samples were 380 adolescents aged 10-15 years. The analysis of this study used path analysis. The results of this study showed that the activity pattern had a positive and significant effect directly on the incidence of stunting with a value of p = 0.048 and knowledge had a negative and significant effect directly on the incidence of stunting with a value of p=0.000. Furthermore, the activity patterns also have an indirect positive effect on the incidence of stunting through nutritional patterns, while knowledge has an indirect negative effect on the incidence of stunting through nutritional patterns. This showed that knowledge is the most influencing factor on the incidence of stunting in adolescents through nutritional patterns with a total value of the indirect effect of 1.27.

Abstract

Efforts to improve public health are based on community participation in overcoming the environment because the environment is one of the factors that play a role in the emergence of a disease. In 2015, the Central Java government determined the most located area in Pemalang Regency which was later determined by a Regent's Decree. There are four sub-districts in the Pemalang Regency area which are included in the category that does not have latrines, namely Pemalang, Taman, Petarukan, and Comal sub-districts.The purpose of the study was to analyze the factors that influence community participation in the construction of family latrines in Petarukan District, Pemalang Regency. This study used a cross sectional design. The sampling technique is proportional stratified simple random sampling. The population is 3,882 households in 3 urban village/village, while the sample is 100. The instrument uses a questionnaire sheet. Data were analyzed by univariate, bivariate with Chi Square and multivariate with logistic regression. The results of the Chi square test show that knowledge factors that influence participation in latrine construction are age (p = 0.02), education (p = 0.01), income (p = 0.00), and (p = 0.00) . The results of the logistic regression showed that the factors that had the most influence on community participation in latrine construction were the level of knowledge.
