Abstract

The government is enhancing digital public services through mobile applications in line with the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) 2018–2025 vision. To support continuous innovation, the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan-RB) organize the Public Service Innovation Competition (KIPP). Understanding user complaints is essential, and aspect-based sentiment analysis, particularly Span-Level Aspect Sentiment Triplet Extraction (Span-ASTE), was applied to analyze government app reviews. A domain-specific dataset was developed with a Cohen’s Kappa of 0.817, indicating strong annotation reliability. IndoBERT-large achieved the highest F1-score of 0.76, while IndoBERT-lite-base provided an efficient alternative with an F1-score of 0.727. An aspect categorization model reached 0.86 accuracy. These models aim to improve public services, strengthen SPBE implementation, and enhance Indonesia’s E-Government Development Index ranking.

Abstract

Mobile tourism applications play a crucial role in supporting travelers’ information search and trip planning; however, many existing systems still suffer from usability limitations that affect user satisfaction and continued use. This study aims to design and evaluate a mobile tourism application prototype using a user-centered design (UCD) framework combined with the System Usability Scale (SUS) for quantitative validation. The development process involved user needs identification, iterative prototyping, and structured usability testing with 20 participants aged 18–35 years. The evaluation results yielded a mean SUS score of 82.5 (SD = 6.8), categorizing the prototype within the “Excellent” usability level. All participants successfully completed the assigned tasks, indicating strong learnability and interaction clarity. These findings demonstrate that integrating UCD with standardized usability benchmarking provides measurable evidence for improving mobile tourism interface quality and supports early-stage validation prior to full-scale implementation.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major public health problem with persistent consequences beyond microbiological cure. Post-TB individuals frequently experience impaired health-related quality of life and social stigma influenced by sociocultural context. Among the Ethnic Banjar population in Indonesia, culturally validated instruments for assessing these outcomes remain limited. This study aimed to evaluate the validity and reliability of the HRQ-6D and Van Rie TB Stigma Scale for post-TB populations of Ethnic Banjar. A cross-sectional psychometric study was conducted among 134 respondents (67 post-TB patients and 67 community members). Construct validity was assessed using item–total correlations, Kaiser–Meyer–Olkin (KMO), and Bartlett’s test of sphericity. Internal consistency was evaluated using Cronbach’s alpha. All HRQ-6D items were valid (r=0.284–0.832; α=0.935). The stigma scale demonstrated acceptable validity, except one item, with strong reliability (α=0.927 patients; 0.843 community). Both instruments are valid and reliable for assessing HRQoL and stigma in post-TB Ethnic Banjar populations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze key factors for industrial recovery by identifying and modeling important factors for the recovery of the Indonesian aircraft component industry using a qualitative descriptive statistical method approach with eight experts. The Delphi method and Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) were used in this study to obtain expert consensus and map causal and hierarchical relationships between factors. The main findings reveal that key factors for industrial recovery fall into four groups: autonomous, interconnected, dependent, and driving. Furthermore, the findings reveal five hierarchical levels of relationships among recovery factors in the aircraft component industry. The order of practical application of industrial recovery factors ascends from level five to level one.

Abstract

Cleome viscosa is a traditional medicinal plant known to contain bioactive antioxidant compounds. Accordingly, this study aimed to conduct phytochemical screening and evaluate the antioxidant activity of its methanolic extract and solvent fractions using the DPPH radical scavenging method. Extraction was performed by maceration with methanol, followed by liquid–liquid partitioning with n-hexane and ethyl acetate. Following extraction, phytochemical analysis indicated the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins, steroids, and terpenoids in the methanolic extract. To assess antioxidant potential, antioxidant activity was determined based on percentage inhibition at 517 nm, and IC50 values were calculated by linear regression. The results showed that ascorbic acid had very strong activity (IC50 = 3.86 ppm). In comparison, the ethyl acetate fraction exhibited strong antioxidant activity (IC50 = 29.25 ppm), while the n-hexane fraction showed weak activity (IC50 = 88.77 ppm). These findings suggest that semi-polar compounds contribute significantly to antioxidant potential.

Abstract

Styrofoam is widely used for food packaging, but its poor degradability and harmful compounds pose serious environmental and health concerns. This study developed biodegradable foam from oil palm empty fruit bunch (OPEFB) cellulose and cassava starch through thermopressing, with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) added to improve product performance. The formulations varied in cassava starch-to- OPEFB cellulose ratios (1:1, 2:1, 3:1, and 4:1) and PVA concentrations (0%, 5%, and 10%). Results showed that increasing the starch ratio and PVA concentration significantly affected water absorption, tensile strength, thickness, and biodegradation rate. The optimum formulation was obtained at a 4:1 starch-to-cellulose ratio with 10% PVA, yielding water absorption of 10.04%, tensile strength of 2.362 MPa, thickness of 0.114 mm, and complete biodegradation within 48.16 days. All biofoam characteristics complied with SNI 7188.7:2016 and JIS Z1707:2017 standards.

Abstract

Red betel leaves (Piper crocatum) contain flavonoids, alkaloids, polyphenols, tannins, and which is known for its antidepressant properties. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of antidepressant activity of ethanol extract of red betel leaves on male white mice (Mus musculus) orally. The method used in testing antidepressants is the Forced Swim Test. Fifteen mice were divided into five groups: a positive control group receiving 3.5 mg/kg BW amitriptyline, a negative control group, and three groups receiving 200, 400, and 800 mg/kg BW of the extract. The antidepressant effect was measured by observing the immobility of mice during swimming. The results of the study using paired sample t-Test analysis showed that there was a difference in immobility before and after, in the 400 mg/kg BW extract and 3.5 mg/kg BW amitriptyline dose groups had significant differences.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of price and product quality on consumer purchasing decisions for local rice, utilizing a case study approach and multiple linear regression analysis. The objectives are to determine (1) the partial impact of price and product quality, (2) the extent of their individual influence, and (3) the combined effect of these variables. The findings reveal that both price and product quality significantly and positively affect consumers’ decision-making, both when evaluated independently and jointly. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.375, indicating that 37.5% of the variation in consumer decisions can be explained by the combined influence of price and product quality. This highlights the relevance of economic and qualitative factors in shaping consumer behavior, suggesting that improvements in either attribute could enhance market competitiveness for local rice. Overall, the results emphasize the strategic importance of understanding and leveraging pricing and product standards in agricultural marketing efforts.

Abstract

In this work, we study and compare two methods for passing from a dual basis to the basis of a finite-dimensional vector space by recalling the passage from a basis to its dual. For the inverse transition, we clarify the kernel method for linear forms and the matrix inversion method, the former exploiting the properties of linear forms and orthogonality, while the latter relies on the explicit inversion of transition matrices, with remarks for each approach depending on the context of application. The study shows that, although matrix inversion is a more direct method, the kernel method can offer a more elegant and efficient alternative in certain cases, especially when the vector space has particular structures.
