Abstract

This research was conducted in an enterprise that provides venture capital assistance to its 876 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) partners to measure and sort the performance of their business. The enterprise wished for a business performance calculation system that is more reliable and utilized more than one criterion. In addition, the enterprise also desired to give rewards to MSMEs with the most excel accomplishment, so they need to know which MSMEs are the most developed among others. This study uses focus group discussions and existing data to obtain the appropriate performance measurement criteria. The determination of the weight of the importance of each criterion was carried out using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method using pairwise comparison techniques and its consistency is measured using the transitive property and consistency ratio. The proposed method is emphasized on ease of use and delivery to stakeholders but still capable of acquiring the performance calculation. The calculation includes the increase or decrease rate of the business performance for each MSME, and after sorting the rating, the most accomplished MSME also can be found. The application of this method also can help the stakeholder to reach consensus swiftly.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company that provides telecommunications services, and for corporate customers, there is the BGES Unit. The payment process for corporate customers is managed by one of the BGES pillars, namely Collection Management. One of the tasks that Collection Management takes care of is outstanding data. The achievement of outstanding billing is only 14.75% per year, which means a payment delay of IDR 7,000,458,871.00 in 2021. Due to excessive workload, billing management does not supervise customers regarding billing so billing objectives are not achieved. In addition, billing information in the form of invoices is provided later than the 5th through 12th of each month so that customers do not know for sure the total bill. This research aims to make improvements in the monitoring and controlling processes of customer outstanding billing. This research uses the business process improvement method. This method also refers to a process that works but some activities need improvement. It does not design new activities but improves existing activities. The tools of business process improvement that were used in this research are application technique wheels and streamlining, which can be useful for simplifying a process and fixing a problem based on the outstanding billing problems by PT XYZ. The result of this research is a new business process as is dashboard monitoring and controlling shown by a context diagram that contains incoming and outgoing data on the billing information system and reminder notification will appear if the target is not achieved. The new business process is expected to assist the BGES unit in monitoring and controlling customers every month, and the target that is expected to be achieved is an outstanding figure of less than 1,000,000 by the end of the year.

Abstract

At the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak in Indonesia, almost all activities in this country were disrupted and economic activity was no exception. Indonesia's current economic growth is down 2.07% in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic which has caused it to be reduced to a low and middle-income country. Based on the gross domestic product (GDP), most sectors of the Indonesian economy experienced a decline in growth in 2020. Only 5 economic sectors showed positive growth. The sector with the largest positive growth was the health services sector and social activities, which amounted to 11.60%. This growth affects the stock price of health sector companies. Grounded on the IDX Industry category (IDXHEALTH) from 2018-2022, there was an increase of 41.28%. The Health Sector which continues to grow is driven by the payment of Covid- 19 incentives. This study was conducted to identify the Difference in Stock prices of Health Sector Companies before and after Covid- 19 with the supposition that the Covid- 19 pandemic occurred in March 2020 by observing stock price fluctuations two years before and after the Covid- 19 Pandemic. Based on the Paired Sample T-test, the stock prices of 3 companies from 6 companies have significant differences in the specified sample period, namely DVLA, PRDA, and MERK companies where the stock prices of DVLA and PRDA have increased. In addition, PRDA's stock price has the largest stock price among other health sector companies, meaning that PRDA companies have good performance.

Abstract

The epidemic of a new disease caused by the coronavirus (2019-nCoV), commonly referred to as COVID-19, has been declared a global virus epidemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). President Joko Widodo has officially ratified Presidential Decree No. 99 of 2020 concerning the provision of vaccines and the implementation of vaccination activities. Twitter is a social media platform that allows users to share information and opinions directly with fellow users. Tweets given can be in any form, either positively or negatively, so one of the methods used is sentiment analysis. Sentiment analysis helps determine an opinion or comment on an issue, whether the response is positive or negative. The Naïve Bayes algorithm is used in sentiment analysis because it is suitable for tweets or text data that is not too long or short text. The initial stage of sentiment analysis is text pre-processing which consists of Cleaning, case folding, tokenizing, and stopword removal. Then the data is labeled manually. The analysis results are visualized as bar charts, pie charts, and word clouds. Then the word weighting is carried out using the term frequency-inverse document (TF-IDF), and classification is carried out using the Naïve Bayes classifier. From the test results, the accuracy value of the confusion matrix is 82% from 2600 tweet data with 80% training data composition and 20% test data.

Abstract

Each university collects many undergraduate theses data but has yet to process it to make it easier for students to find references as desired. This study aims to classify and compare the grouping of documents using expert and simple clustering methods. Experts have done ground truth using OR Boolean Retrieval and keyword generation. The best cluster was discovered by the experiments using the K-Means, K-Medoids, and DBSCAN clustering methods and using Euclidean, Manhattan, City Block, and Cosine Similarity metrics. The cluster with the best Silhouette Score compared to the accuracy of the categorization of each document. The K-Means clustering method and the Cosine Similarity metric gave the best results with a Silhouette Score value of 0.105534. The comparison between ground truth and the best cluster results shows an accuracy of 33.42%. The result shows that the simple clustering method cannot handle data with Negative Skewness and Leptokurtic Kurtosis.

Abstract

The scheduling of parallel machines with and without a job-splitting property, deterministic demand, and sequence-independent setup time with the goal of minimizing makespan is examined in this work. For simultaneous processing by multiple machines, single-stage splitable jobs are broken into random (job) sections. When a job starts to be processed on a machine, an operator has to setup the machine for an hour. By creating two Mixed Integer Linear Programming models, this work proposes a mathematical programming strategy (MILP). A MILP model takes the job-splitting property into account. Another model, however, does not include the job-splitting property. This study investigates the performance of the proposed models using Gurobi solver. These programs' numerical calculations are based on actual problems in the Indonesian city of Bandung's plastics industry. On four identical parallel injection molding machines, 318 jobs must be finished in 22 periods. The real scheduling method is contrasted with these two MILP models. The maximum workload imbalance, the maximum relative percentage of imbalance, and the makespan of these three scheduling systems are used to evaluate their effectiveness. Without the job-splitting property, MILP can handle the real issue of scheduling identical parallel machines on injection molding machines to reduce makespan, resulting in a 36% average decrease. The MILP model's job-splitting property can reduce makespan by an additional 2.40%. The order of relative ranking is MILP with job-splitting property, MILP without job-splitting property, and actual scheduling based on the makespan minimization, workload imbalance, and relative percentage of imbalance.

Abstract

In this research, the working hours and posture of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine operators were investigated to determine the physical workload that they experienced during their daily work. Based on our observations, the operator works 8-hour regular shifts or 12-hour long shifts for 5 – 6 days a week. During these shifts, the operators work in front of the CNC machine while standing upright without any tools to rest. Preliminary research was conducted to evaluate these conditions the results show 13 out of 20 CNC machine operators complained about physical fatigue while working the CNC machines. It can also be concluded that the operators are experiencing excessive workload based on a workload assessment using the Quick Exposure Check (QEC) method. To solve this problem, a standing chair is designed with ergonomics in mind. The dimensions of the standing chair are based on the anthropometry of the CNC machine operators, which was never used before. The design process is conducted using the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) methodology. Need statements from the CNC machine operators and design requirements from the stakeholders are converted into design specifications using TRIZ methodology. Parameters are determined to increase the capability of the existing design based on the design specifications. The result of this research is a standing chair that is suitable for the operator’s needs. Based on the analysis of the design result and the stress analysis simulation, it can be concluded a functional standing chair can be ergonomically designed with the TRIZ methodology.
