Abstract

Spare parts is one of the production support components which plays an important role for the survivalof gas production in the gas processing facility owned by SKN JOB Pertamina Talisman Jambi Merang. Thehigh inventory level increased the high inventory cost for the industry which get the benefit from the efficiencyof processes and resources. This research involved consumable spare parts for Solar Turbine engine as muchas 25 SKUs with demand character patterned lumpy demand and Poisson distribution. The implementationof policies using Periodic Review (R, s, S) with Power Approximation approach in the inventory systemcapable to generate a lower total cost inventory by pressing the backorder volume, the booking volume and theinventory levels in a balanced manner. Calculation of Periodic Review (R, s, S) with Power Approximationapproach resulted inventory parameter which was able to press the total cost of inventory at 8.54% lower andincrease the service level by 1.11%.

Abstract

Transportasi merupakan salah satu aspek pada logistik yang memberikan kontribusi biaya paling besar [1]. Efisiensi pada aktivitas transportasi dapat memberikan penghematan yang besar pada keseluruhan logistik suatu organisasi. Salah satu penyebab tidak efisiennya aktivitas transportasi adalah kemacetan. Kemacetan dapat menambah waktu dan biaya transportasi yang berimbas kepada menurunnya tingkat pelayanan kepada konsumen. Pada tulisan ini, peneliti akan membahas mengenai pencarian rute aktivitas transportasi yang memperhatikan kemacetan. Algoritma heuristik disusun untuk menghasilkan solusi rute transportasi yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi kemacetan.

Abstract

Aktivitas pemeriksaan persediaan atau Stock-taking merupakan aktivitas pemeriksaan barang manual oleh petugas gudang yang dilakukan secara rutin pada aktivitas pergudangan. Aktivitas ini berfungsi untuk menentukan akurasi persediaan dan mengetahui kondisi persediaan sehingga dapat mengurangi resiko kehilangan, kerusakan, dan keausan persediaan. Aktivitas pemeriksaan persediaan termasuk aktivitas yang memerlukan biaya dan waktu yang besar. Selain itu, aktivitas ini juga tak luput dari kesalahan manusia karena aktivitas pengecekan merupakan aktivitas yang membutuhkan ketelitian tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan identifikasi objek atau produk yang bertujuan untuk menggantikan pemeriksaan manual manusia sehingga proses pemeriksaan jenis dan jumlah barang dapat dilakukan secara otomatis dan presisi. Pengolahan citra digital berbentuk Object Recognition digunakan pada penelitian ini untuk menentukan jenis objek dan jumlah objek. Hasil penelitian menunjukan tingkat deteksi produk tunggal mencapai 90% yang dipengaruhi oleh sudut pengambilan gambar dan tingkat deteksi jumlah objek tunggal mencapai > 81% dengan tingkat pencahayaan yang normal dan sudut pengambilan gambar yang ideal. Diharapkan dengan adanya sistem ini, biaya untuk aktivitas pemeriksaan persediaan dan aktivitas pergudangan secara umum dapat ditekan sehingga efisiensi dan efektivitas dapat dicapai.

Abstract

Top Indonesian higher education institution (HEI) has not excelled in education quality in Southeast Asia. The statistics exhibit that only two percent of HEIs comply with requirements of high rank of national accreditation. Lack of management and effective policy of HEIs are the source of low education quality. One of the main reasons is the evaluation, as the basis for decision making, comes from biased measurement. Students, as the consumers in an HEI, are the source of reference for evaluation. Evaluation based on student perspective is important to understand individual learning profiles to formulate policy that meets student needs. This study aims to conduct a preliminary study in understanding the gap in research of higher education quality based on student perspectives that consider systemic approaches such PDCA cycle. We conduct a literature review to map the potential research. The study found five previous studies that conduct quality evaluations involving student perspectives. However, these studies mostly conduct only temporary evaluation, not continuous high frequent measurements. Furthermore, the studies are not supported by an information system which does not lead to a systemic approach. Previous studies may produce biased student evaluation due to the long-time interval between evaluation and schedule of study class. These studies do not take into consideration building a systemic approach of quality evaluation in HEIs.

Abstract

The quality of Indonesia's higher education institutions has not excelled compared to Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. Based on 2020 data, the percentage of higher education institutions in Indonesia that have been accredited is 59%. It is crucial to evaluate and improve the factors that affect the quality of higher education institutions based on the student's perspective, the primary customer of higher education institutions. This study aims to evaluate the quality of higher education institutions based on students' satisfaction in real-time. Furthermore, this research will propose a design of an information system that can automate the evaluation process. The findings of this study can be applied to the existing system, providing information and analysis to support the policy-making process.

Abstract

The scheduling of parallel machines with and without a job-splitting property, deterministic demand, and sequence-independent setup time with the goal of minimizing makespan is examined in this work. For simultaneous processing by multiple machines, single-stage splitable jobs are broken into random (job) sections. When a job starts to be processed on a machine, an operator has to setup the machine for an hour. By creating two Mixed Integer Linear Programming models, this work proposes a mathematical programming strategy (MILP). A MILP model takes the job-splitting property into account. Another model, however, does not include the job-splitting property. This study investigates the performance of the proposed models using Gurobi solver. These programs' numerical calculations are based on actual problems in the Indonesian city of Bandung's plastics industry. On four identical parallel injection molding machines, 318 jobs must be finished in 22 periods. The real scheduling method is contrasted with these two MILP models. The maximum workload imbalance, the maximum relative percentage of imbalance, and the makespan of these three scheduling systems are used to evaluate their effectiveness. Without the job-splitting property, MILP can handle the real issue of scheduling identical parallel machines on injection molding machines to reduce makespan, resulting in a 36% average decrease. The MILP model's job-splitting property can reduce makespan by an additional 2.40%. The order of relative ranking is MILP with job-splitting property, MILP without job-splitting property, and actual scheduling based on the makespan minimization, workload imbalance, and relative percentage of imbalance.

Abstract

Distribusi adalah suatu kegiatan memindahkan produk dari pihak supplier ke konsumen dalam suatu supply chain. Distibusi secara langsung mempengaruhi biaya supply chain oleh karena itu distribusi bisa di bilang adalah kunci dari kesuksesan. Sedangkan, transportasi sendiri merupakan suatu representasi awal dari suatu rangkaian supply chain untuk sampai ke konsumen dengan bergeraknya suatu pruduk dari satu tempat menuju ke tempat lainnya. Dalam dunia industri, transportasi memiliki peranan yang sangat penting karena adanya biaya didalam pengantaran dari satu lokasi ke lokasi tersebut. Bahkan, transportasi juga dapat mempengaruhi harga suatu produk. Begitupun yang terjadi dalam lingkungan perusahaan PT. Pos Logistik Indonesia (PT. Poslog) yang mana merupakan perusahaan layanan logistik terbesar di Indonesia. Karena segmentasi pasar PT. Poslog yang begitu luas di Indonesia, maka perusahaan membagi trayek pengirimannya menjadi 2 tipe yaitu rute primer untuk trayek pengiriman seluruh Indonesia selain jabodetabek dan rute sekunder untuk trayek pengiriman khusus jabodetabek. Dalam tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk menjadwalkan ulang trayek pengiriman primer pada PT. Poslog yang semula memiliki 5 tujuan tiap harinya. Adapun permasalahan yang dimiliki oleh PT. Poslog dalam kasus ini yaitu berupa permasalahan Vehicle Routing Problem dengan karakteristik jumlah armada yang heterogen (heterogenous fleet vehicle) dan batasan waktu di tiap tujuan pengiriman (time windows). Metode yang digunakan dalam tugas akhir ini yaitu dengan menggunakan model Integer Linear Programming (ILP) dimana model ini dapat meminimasi total biaya transportasi dan tingkat keterlambatan di titik tujuan. Hasil tugas akhir ini menunjukkan bahwa metode yang digunakan dapat meminimasi total biaya transportasi rata-rata perharinya sebesar 7,23% dan tingkat keterlambatan dapat direduksi rata-rata perharinya sebesar 13%.
