Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an effect of pedagogic competence, compensation, and discipline on the performance of junior high school teachers in South Jakarta. The method used in this study was quantitative using the survey method with multiple linear regression. This research was conducted from September 2018 to February 2019. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 83 respondents who were junior high school teachers in South Jakarta. Based on the research results, it was obtained that a correlation value of 0.902, it indicated a very strong correlation coefficient value, the value of the termination coefficient was 81.4%. The value of the regression equation was Y = 13.41 + 0.723X1 + 0.048X2 + 0.153X3, it indicated the direction of the regression equation was positive. Hypothesis testing results obtained F value counting 116.55 where it was > 0.05, this indicated that there was a joint influence of the variables of Professional Competence, Compensation, and Discipline on the Performance of Junior High School Teachers in South Jakarta.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see how the use of graphic media by geography subject teachers in class X SMA Negeri 1 Tanah Pinoh Melawi Regency is applied as well as to get the clarity, and the description about the analysis of the use of graphic media by Geography subject teachers in Class X SMA Negeri 1 Tanah Pinoh, Melawi Regency. This study used a qualitative method with an analytic descriptive approach, that was, the researcher conducted a deeper analysis using graphic media in geography lessons. The subjects in this study were class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Tanah Pinoh, Melawi Regency in the academic year 2019. The results of this study were seen using graphic media for learning geography to increase the proportion to 69.38%, while specifically it could be detailed through the research aspects carried out in research, as follows: the steps for using graphic media can be categorized as “Good” with a percentage of 71.39%, the efforts to use graphic media can be categorized as “Good” with a percentage of 71.76%, and the constraints on the use of graphic media can be categorized as “good” with a percentage of 50.69%.

Abstract

Vocational High Schools (SMK) is a type of formal school that provides special education, including entrepreneurship education that can lead students to be a graduate who is ready to enter and participate professionally in the business and industrial world. So that in this study there are several objectives, including identifying the influence of the role of parents and teachers in fostering the entrepreneurial spirit of SMKS students in South Jakarta. This research was conducted using a correlational survey method. Meanwhile, the analysis used to test the truth of the hypothesis was carried out by simple linear regression analysis. The population in this study was 50 students of private vocational schools in South Jakarta. Therefore. the sample was obtained by taking 100% of the population. Thus, the sample size was 50 students of private vocational schools in South Jakarta. The results showed that there was an influence of the Role of Parents together with the Role of Teachers on Fostering the Entrepreneurial Spirit of Students in South Jakarta Vocational High School. This was confirmed by the value of the hypothesis calculation obtained that the value of Sig = 0.000 <0.05 and Fcount = 41.488> Ftable = then H0 was rejected, which meant that the regression coefficient was significant.

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the sciences that plays an important role in the development of science, technology, and the advancement of human thinking, starting from the basic education level to the higher education level so that students are ablet to think logically, systematically, analytically, critically, creatively and have the ability to work together. Mathematics Education students, as prospective teachers, are expected to be able to solve problems that measure HOTS in advance so that later they can help students solve the HOTS questions. This study aims to describe the thinking skills of prospective teachers in solving HOTS-oriented math problems. The type of research used was descriptive qualitative with 3 subjects from the fifth-semester students of Mathematics Education Unindra PGRI consisting of subjects in the low, medium, and high groups, each represented by 1 person. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, categorization, synthesis, and the preparation of working hypotheses. The results showed that the prospective teachers were able to solve HOTS-oriented problems at the level of analyzing and evaluating. Of the three research subjects, the three subjects were able to meet the level indicators of analyzing and evaluating quite well. At the creative level, only one teacher candidate was able to meet 2 of the 4 existing creative indicators. Meanwhile, the other 2 prospective teachers were only able to meet 1 of the 4 creative level indicators.

Abstract

This study aims at determining and analyzing the effect of role-playing learning methods on the learning outcomes of CPNS training participants in 2019 in the Public Ethics course. This study used explanatory research methods, while the type of research used was experimental research. The design used in this research was the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This design closely similar to the pretest-posttest control group design, however, in this design the experimental group and the control group were not randomly selected. The results showed that the use of role-playing learning methods was considered effective enough to improve the learning outcomes of Public Ethics. While classes that used the conventional lecture learning method can be said to be less effective in improving learning outcomes for the Public Ethics training course. The use of role-playing learning methods had an effect of 47.8% on the learning outcomes of the Public Ethics training course, while the remaining 52.2% was influenced by factors other than the use of role-playing learning methods.

Abstract

The development of GeoGebra media is a form of a technological contribution to the field of education, especially mathematics. The use of GeoGebra media in this study is related to making lines in an equation to find gradients. This study aims to see whether the critical thinking skills of students who learn with GeoGebra media are better than ordinary learning and whether the increase in critical thinking skills of students with GeoGebra media is better than ordinary learning. The sample of this study was class VIII in the School Year 2019/2020 at SMPN 1 Cibinong. The samples were 60 students. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research design with a non-equivalent control group. The instrument used were pretest and postest to see n-gain critical thinking skills. The research data were analyzed with the Mann-Whitney test. The result was the improvement of the critical thinking ability of students who learn with GeoGebra media better than students who learn with ordinary learning.

Abstract

 AbstractThe Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in fundamental policy changes in the world of education in the country. The Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Anwar Makarim has issued a number of policies to regulate spending activities during this pandemic. This was issued through Circular No. 4 of 2020, which is about the Implementation of Education Policy in the Emergency Spread of Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19), dated March 24, 2020. The most basic policy is to change the way of teaching and learning of students and teachers with learning policies from home with online learning (e-learning). Many schools want to implement e-learning. However, every school that wants to implement e-learning needs to pay attention to its level of readiness both in terms of infrastructure and in the technical capabilities of its users. The e-learning readiness is known as e-learning readiness. E-learning readiness is not limited to preparation before implementation, but can also be done for organizations that have implemented e-learning. This study aims to determine the level of readiness of the Avicenna Jagakarsa School in the application of e-learning and what factors are still weak and need to be improved in the application of e-learning. Method This study uses a questionnaire based on Aydin & Tasci's e-learning readiness (ELR) model with its rating scale grouped into four factors. These factors are human, self-development, technology, and innovation. The results showed that Avicenna Jagakarsa School Teacher had an e-learning readiness index overall ELR score = 4.31. This shows that the Avicenna Jagakarsa School is included in the category of ready to implement e-learning but still needs a little improvement.Keywords: e-learning, e-learningreadines, ELR, co-19

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of students’ adaptive reasoning abilities through the reciprocal teaching model. This research is experimental research with one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study were first semester students of class B IKIP PGRI Pontianak with cluster random sampling technique. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics and inferential to test whether there was an increase in adaptive reasoning skills through the reciprocal teaching model. The results showed that the students obtained the initial test score with an average of 21,23 while the final test score with an average of 71,36. After applying the reciprocal teaching model to the students’ adaptive reasoning ability, they obtained a sig. 0,000 where sig. < 0,05 (?). Thus the reciprocal teaching model can improve students’ adaptive reasoning abilities.

Abstract

The importance of innovations in learning is one of the keys to improving student mathematic’s learning outcome. One of the innovations in learning mathematics is to use Cabri II D for plane geometry. Cabri II D is an interactive software for learning geometry to construct a drawing, like a ruler, calipers, and protractor so that the results can be more accurate. The research objective was to determine the differences in learning outcome of mathematic’s plane geometry using Cabri II D learning media and conventional media. The research method used experimental methods. This research was conducted at SMP PGRI 1 Cibinong with a sample of class 7 consisting of 40 students as the experimental group and class 7.1 consisting of 40 students as the control group. In the experimental class, learning plane geometry was using Cabri II D media, in the control class, learning plane geometry was using ruler, calipers, and protractor. At the end of the topic, a final mathematical test of plane geometry was given in each class. The results showed that there were differences in the average student learning outcome between the experimental group and the control group. The final score of students using Cabri II D learning media was higher than students who used conventional learning media.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how leaders make decisions in creating a working climate and pay attention to teachers and staff in creating a working climate at SMPN 22 Kota Jambi, as well as the leadership's obstacles. This research is based on the fact that the principal has not fully paid attention to the performance of teachers and staff so that he has not achieved a successful conducive working climate. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach to the type of case study research. The research subjects were the principal, vice-principal, teacher, head of administration, and administrative staff. The technique used in this research was purposive sampling by determining specific characteristics in accordance with the research objectives. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, and documents. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the principal took the right steps in making decisions and paid attention to teachers and staff in improving the work climate.
