Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the effect of applying the TGT (Team Games Tournament) cooperative method through a medium of puzzle on the mathematics learning outcomes. The method used is an experimental method. The sampling is conducted using a simple random sampling technique, with samples of 40 students consisting of 20 students of an experimental class and 20 students of a control class. The analysis to test the research hypothesis is performed using the mean difference test (t-test), with the results of the hypothesis test showing that there is the effect of applying the TGT (Team Games Tournament) cooperative method through a medium of puzzle on the mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran melalui teknik pembelajaran dengan drama terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris peserta didik di SMPN 157 Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik di SMPN 157 Jakarta, dan sampel penelitian sebanyak 25 peserta didik untuk kelas eksperimen, dan 25 peserta didik untuk kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini menggunakan beberapa instrumen dan tahapan. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang dibantu dengan SPSS 16.0. Pada taraf signifikansi 0,05, maka diperoleh hasil terdapat pengaruh positif yang rendah penggunaan teknik pembelajaran dengan drama terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to test the stability of ability parameter estimation of Logistic Parameter ItemResponse Theory (IRT) model based on the length of test used. Logistic Parameter Model used in thisresearch is 2 Logistic Parameter (2PL) Model. The data used are simulation data generated by usingWingen software, with sample size of 1000 participants with variation of test length used is 20, 40, and60. The estimation is then made for each length of the test by using Wingen software with replicationsfor 10 times. Based on the results of the analysis on the estimation results, it can be seen that thelonger the test is used, the more accurate estimation of ability parameter of 2PL model is.

Abstract

Along with the advancement of educational technology, the success of teaching activities in schools, especially in elementary schools, is not only determined by the teaching factors originating only from material books, but also by the utilization of information resources from the internet in enriching and expanding the source of teaching materials. The role of teachers in expanding their knowledge is considered very important to be continuously developed and improved. The utilization of the internet can encourage teachers to be more creative in developing innovations in learning materials in classroom. The flexibility of the Internet and its quickness to dynamically produce changes make the values of information and knowledge grow very quickly. It cannot be denied that besides having the positive aspects, the internet has also negative aspects. Therefore, the teachers have to be more aware of the negative and positive impacts of the internet in order to be able to well explain them to the students in the class. The available space on the internet can be also used by teachers to exchange ideas and communicate through e-mail, discussion forums, web blogs and social media. The research will then give the mapping pattern and comparison of the competence of teachers in MI Al Madarijut in using the internet media as an additional source of subject materials.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh minat membaca dan penguasaan kosakata secara bersama-sama terhadap keterampilan siswa dalam berpidato, pengaruh minat membaca terhadap keterampilan siswa dalam berpidato, dan pengaruh penguasaan kosakata terhadap keterampilan siswa dalam berpidato. Dalam peneltian ini terdapat dua variabel bebas, yaitu minat membaca dan penguasaan kosakata dan satu variabel terikat yaitu keterampilan berpidato. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode dokumentasi, angket, dan tes. Uji prasyarat analisis yaitu uji normalitas dan uji linieritas. Uji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan analisis korelasi dan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan minat membaca dan penguasaan kosakata secara bersama-sama terhadap keterampilan berpidato, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan minat membaca terhadap keterampilan berpidato, dan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penguasaan kosakata terhadap keterampilan berpidato.

Abstract

This research is aimed at showing the effectiveness of the use of a guided discovery learning model on mathematical learning outcomes at a cognitive domain. The research method used is a quasi-experiment with research design of non-equivalent control grup. The research takes 46 samples, consisting of 23 samples for experimental class and 23 samples for control class. The sampling technique used is a nonrandom technique. The type of instrument distributed is a test in the form of 10 essay questions. The result of the research test shows that ????1 is accepted, meaning there is a difference between the average learning outcomes of mathematics postest of students taught employing guided discovery learning model and those of students taught applying a varied lecture learning method. In conclusion, the guided discovery learning model affects learning outcomes and is effective to be used as a learning model in geometry subject.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the design of an Adobe Flash CS5-based computer media on the quadrilateral concept material and how far this medium can facilitate understanding of the quadrilateral concept. It is a development research with stages consisting of needs analysis, computer media compilation, limited product trial and product evaluation. Data analysis performed for questionnaire of medium component evaluation is quantitative data analysis, while for questionnaire of medium material evaluation and student’s learning results, which are pre-test and post-test, is qualitative data analysis. The use of the medium can help students to improve their concept understanding of 42.969% and to keep answering with the right answer of 26.563%. The result of medium evaluation questionnaire on media being developed is good with average score of 33.75 from maximum score of 38. This shows that the media is useful to facilitate the quadrilateral concept learning in a classroom

Abstract

Background this study was the interest of researchers against the management education in the House of the Qur'an Bina Insani Muslims are hereinafter referred to as RQ BIM, which is the flagship program of the ektrakurikuler SD IT BIM. Extracurricular program was developed independently. starting from low grade to grade tingggi with allot time for 4 hours. This research aims to analyze the implementation of management education that includes planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring. Research methods the research was descriptive writers do kualitif. This research was the Chief informant RQ, head of the elementary school IT BIM, and teachers as well as other data that is still closely related to this study. engineering data retrieval is done by way of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation.. The results of this research it can be concluded that Management RQ BIM already done but rudimentary research results showed: (1) implementation management education RQ BIM is: (a) planning; RQ BIM which has vision and mission, objectives, strategies and development plans activity. (b) organizing the learning through the delivery of the material, learning strategies, and learning methods are used by RQ BIM (c) implementation phases is that cause an organization runs, all of which involved in the organisation should strive towards the aims to conform with the planning. Based on the reality that this is has not been done well (d) supervision, observations indicate that the coordinators of the RQ usually asks and shares to the teachers about the progress of the children, and always establish the teacher’s  quality. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan media komik pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) di Pusat Bahasa Universitas Trisakti Jakarta. Salah satu masalah terbesar yang dihadapi dalam pembelajaran BIPA ialah motivasi belajar peserta. Ada banyak alasan peserta kurang termotivasi dalam belajar BIPA, salah satunya ialah suasana kelas yang membosankan. Satu hal yang kita ketahui untuk membangkitkan motivasi belajar peserta ialah dengan memberikan suatu hal yang luar biasa dan baru di dalam pembelajaran BIPA, terutama di antara peserta usia remaja dan dewasa awal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengatakan bahwa komik dapat digunakan secara efisien untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran tersebut. Media komik mampu menyampaikan mata kuliah menyimak, berbicara, membaca, dan tata bahasa dalam pembelajaran BIPA. Hal tersebut memberikan atmosfer yang menyenangkan di dalam kelas. Komik tidak hanya menghibur dan menarik peserta, tetapi juga ada banyak alasan menggunakannya di dalam pembelajaran BIPA.

Abstract

This research aims to know whether there is a difference between the mathematics learning results of students taught with a cooperative learning method Team Assisted Individualization and those taught with a drill method. The research is conducted in one of State Senior High Schools in Jakarta. The samples are 60 students randomly taken (simple random sampling) from the population of 80 students from 2 classes. The experimental method is used to distinguish two researched groups, namely an experimental group taught with a cooperative learning method Team Assisted Individualization and a control group taught with a drill method. The research instrument is in the form of 40 multiple-choice questions. The instrument is tested to obtain valid and reliable questions to be used for the research instrument. The validity test on the results of students' mathematics learning with point biserial Correlation formula shows as many as 24 questions are valid and reliable. Before being analyzed, the data are first tested using a pre-requisite test, namely a normality test using lilliefors test and homogeneity test using fisher test. The result of the research shows a difference between the mathematics learning results of students taught with a cooperative learning method Team Assisted Individualization and those taught with a drill method in the State Senior High School in Jakarta.
