Abstract

This research was conducted due to a problem found in the filed indicating that a student with autism was not yet able to write well and correctly. She frequently did mistake in writing. This research sought to prove whether the use of Fernald technique could improve the beginning writing ability of the student with autism in class V of SLB Luki Padang. This Single Subject Research applied A-B-A design. The assessment done in this research was consistent on assessing the number of letters written by the student well and correctly. The number of the letters tested in this research was five. The results of the research showed that in the baseline condition, the student’s ability to write was very low in which she was only able to write a letter. After the intervention was given (Fernald technique), the student’s ability to write improved. In the second baseline, her ability also increased. The percentage of her ability in the baseline condition was 20%, in intervention condition was 80% and in the second baseline condition was 80%.The student was able to write four of five letters (a, c, g, i and m) tested and her current ability to write was 80%. Hence, the use of Fernald technique could improve the beginning writing ability of the student with autism at SLB Luki Padang. It was recommended to the teachers to apply Fernald technique in the learning process so that the students could learn more enthusiastically. Abstract

: This research is motivated by the problems faced by visually impaired clients in the preparation classes PSBN Tuah Sakato Padang, the ability of a computer typing is very minimal. This type of research is a Quasi Experiment, pretest-posttest design the experiments carried out on one group without using the comparison group. The subjects were four visually impaired clients in the preparation classes PSBN Tuah Sakato Padang. Data obtained using the test works. Analysis of the data used is the Mann-Whitney test for hypothesis testing criteria acceptable if Uhit> UTab and conditions beyond the hypothesis is rejected at the 95% significance level or α = 0.05 level. The results of data processing show UTab Uhit = 0.5 and = 0, meaning that the hypothesis is accepted. So the results showed that the JAWS program effect on the ability to type on a blind preparation classes in PSBN Tuah Sakato Padang. Therefore, it is suggested in the social institutions in order to always provide education about technology especially computers so that children are more confident and are not afraid of technology.

Abstract

Abstrack: Research early from problems which is the ability  to eat find at class of 1 CI SLB Fan Redha Padang, in subject specially the ability to eat. On building self-esteem, especially aspects of eating . When children eat lunch at school , children are often fed by parents , teachers and friends of children, so that children always rely on those who are nearby in the activities of the child's independence. So we need a method to solve this problems, one of them is of Task Analysis.This research use experiment type with single subject and A-B design. Subject of this Research is a student at class of 1 CI SLB Fan Redha Padang. Data’s collecting in the form of deed tes through perception/observation, and data collecting appliance in the form of instrument  tes counted 15 item. Acquirement of data analysed to use analyse visual data technique. Kata kunci: Task Analysis; Kemampuan Makan; Down Syndrome.

Abstract

This research background by the problems that researchers find Muhammadiyah schools SLB IX Padang Pauh mild mental retardation in children that the child is not motivated to learn about primary colors, children always seem lazy when invited to learn about color. Based on this research aims to prove that by playing puzzle floor can increase the motivation of learning about primary colors.The research was conducted over three weeks. This study used experimental approach in the form of Single Subject Research (SSR) with AB research design. The subjects were mild mental retardation children. The target is to see their behavior from the child's motivation to learn perseverance, tenacity, interest / concern in the study, not bored to learn the color and fun in learning colors.The results of this study indicate that, increasing the motivation to learn to know the primary colors mild mental retardation in young grade I / C in SLB Muhammadiyah Padang Pauh IX increased after receiving services through a puzzle floor. This is evident when the researchers conducted in two sessions ie baseline sessions before the intervention is given five times the observations, and the percentage of color recognize primary motivation lies in the range of 20%, 20%, 20%, 20% and 20%. Second session of the intervention (B) researchers explain how these measures play floor puzzle motivated children start learning about primary colors seen from the perseverance child, child tenacity, interest / attention to children, and children do not get bored to learn that in this condition lies in the range of 34%, 42%, 64%, 60%, 86%, 100%, 100%,. The results of this study are expected to benefit the teachers, and so further research can be an alternative to improve the child's motivation to learn about primary colors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengungkapkan tentang anak tunantera kelas IV di SLBN 1 Padang panjang. Penelitian ini berisikan tentan meningkatkan kemampuan operasi hitung penjumlahan pada tunanetra. Metode peneltian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas (classrom action research) .Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan media Blokjes mampu meningkatkan kemampuan untuk menghitung masalah operasi penjumlahan deret kebawah. Kemampuan awal siswa tunanetra sebelum diberikan tindakan dengan nilai FJ 0 dan AR 0. Pada akhir siklus 1 kemampuan siswa FJ 40 dan AR 20. Pada siklus II kemmapuan siswa meningkat menjadi FJ 80 dan AR 77,5. Dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa media Blokjes dapat meningkatkan kemampuan operasi hitung penjumlahan deret kebawah pada anak tunanetra menjadi meningkat.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was initiated by the problem found in class IV indicating that student got difficulties in understanding the concept of direction. Instructed to do something related to right, left, in front of and behind direction, he was unable to follow the instruction given. This research was aimed at examining whether the activities of exploration, elaboration, and confirmation could increase the student's understanding on the concept of direction.This was an experimental research which applied Single Subject Research (SSR) method and A-B-A design. The data gathered were analyzed by using visual analysis of graphic. The number of instructions responded correctly was tallied. The variable was measured by using frequency technique.The percentage of the data overlapped in the activities of exploration, elaboration and confirmation was small. The smaller the number of the data overlapped the better the intervention affected the target behavior. Based on these results, it was concluded that the activities of exploration, elaboration, and confirmation could increase the student's understanding on the concept of direction. Therefore, it was recommended to the teachers to do the activities exploration, elaboration, and confirmation to introduce the concept of direction to the students with light metal retardation. Keyword: Anak tunagrahita ;konsep arah; kegiatan pembelajaran

Abstract

This research is plane from the term inclusi trend right now. In SDN 47 Talawi Payakumbuh is found a blind child, teacher class and a Guru Pembimbing Khusus (GPK) are a blind too. In mathematic education process, the blind have a trouble to understand the matery, because of teacher class can’t understand the blind child characteristic, till in mathematic education process, not adjust RPP with child characteristic and not yet prepare the exact evaluation to the blind child too. Till low, the average of the child is 50-60. So this research is process for blind child, the constraints must be up against in education process and efforts to surpass the constraint in mathematic education process. This research use qualitative approach with qualitative descriptive research type. Subyect of the research is a teacher class, data source support is special cainselor teacher and the headmaster in SDN 47 Talawi Payakumbuh. Collecting data process are pass trought by observation, interview, and documentation. The yield process indicate in education process, teacher not adjust RPP with the characteristic of the blind child. In the realization once in a while use exact media till in mathematic education process. The child feel difficult to understand the matter. The constraint become because the teacher not yet understand characteristic of the blind child, till result the child always get low value in mathematic lesson. The effort in experience constraint is with always prepare real media of concrete, concord with lesson matter. The teacher must always prepare concrete media and realize modification to make RPP is concord with characteristic of the blind child. Coming on X can increase teaching method is concord with characteristic of the blind child, and more prepare supporting media in the education process.

Abstract

The background of this research is the discovery of two moderate mental retardation students of class VII / C who have difficulty in making banana smoked during mengertjakan skills, this is because the classroom teacher can not perform deliver the subject matter in accordance with the learning steps and make banana smoked during This method only teacher demonstrations in providing eye peljaran skills, making students often forget or become less understand what the teacher explained. The purpose of this research is to improve the ability to make banana smoked through a learning resource for children mental retardation was a class VII / C. Learning resources is an environment can be used as a school teacher pebelajaran media. This pebelitian type is action research class (classroom action research) that takes the form of collaboration. These actions were taken to two children mental. Based on the average value obtained by the students at the end of the first cycle can be seen that the TN before the given action I get a value of 20% of all the indicators are given. And after a given action I got 33.33%. While the PN before the given action I get a value of 20% of all the indicators are given. After the action I was given to 25%. In the second cycle performed in four learning skills make pisnag salai, where TN got 83.33% in execution cycles II and PN also received a grade of 75%. The results of the third cycle shows the results of the ability of TN got 91.67% while the PN also scored 83.33%. banana smoked for child mental retardation was a class VII / C. Thus it can be suggested to the schools, teachers, and researchers can use the following to learning resources in improving learning skills for children tunagrahita being.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the process of improving the skill in creating tasbih from beads through task analysis and to determine wheter task analysis method can improve the skill in creating tasbih from beads for students with mild intellectual disability in the 8th Grade of Special School Number 2 Padang. This study is a singgle subject research with desain A-B-A. The data analysis is in the form of visual analysis of graphich displays. The object of the research is an 8th grade student with mild intellectual disability. The target behavior of this reserch is for the student to be able to perform the steps in creating tasbih correctly. The variable measurement was in the form of the percentage of the number of intrument items. The results show that the student's skill in creating tasbih improved. In the baseline (A1) condition, classroom observation was conducted five times, and the persentage of the student's achievement was still low. In the intervention (B) condition, classroom observation was conducted seven times, and the percentage of the student's achievement increased from the percentage in the baseline (A1) condition. In the baseline (A2) condition, classroom observation was conducted five times, and the persentage of the student's achievement increased as compared to the initial ability. Based on these results, it is concluded that task analysis can improve the skill in creating tasbih from beads in a student with mild intellectual disability.

Abstract

The research background of the problems that researchers found in a child's mild tunagarahita SDLB fourth grade C at N 20 huts II Pariaman are not skilled in the coconut into copra processing skills especially in drying by sunlight through training methods, and these skills have not been in taught in school. This type of research is experimental research in the form of single subject reseach (SSR) using ABA design and data analysis techniques using visual analysis chart. Subjects were mild mental retardation children. Assessment in this study is to measure the percentage of children's ability to scale the attitude or actions of coconut into copra drying in the sun. Based on the results of research, looks capabilities of coconut into copra processing skills can be improved with training methods At baseline conditions (A1) The first meeting until five meetings up and down the child's ability, by changing the data range of 0%, and 16.7%, so that researchers halted the observation in this condition at the fifth meeting, in which the data were obtained stable of meeting three to five percentage obtained child is 0%. While in the intervention condition (B) observations of eight meetings, the first meeting of this meeting 33.3% in the data obtained up and down, but still above 33.3%, the second meeting rose to 66.7%, in the third meeting 50% , meetings of four to 66.7%, the percentage obtained five children is 83.3%, the sixth meeting of up to 100% up to eight meetings, observations stopped at the eighth meeting of the data has shown a steady increase, Son was able to finish kerterampilan drying by sun drying method with 6 steps correctly. At baseline session (A2) conducted four meetings, At the first meeting of the percentage of children who obtained 66.7%, 83.3% at the second meeting to meeting to four. Thus the hypothesis (Ha) proposed acceptable, the method of training can be used for effective processing of coconuts into copra skills for children mild mental retardation. This means that both training methods used by teachers in the learning skills because of its method of repetitive exercise.
