Abstract

The background of this research is that there are still many teachers who have difficulty in compiling appropriate assessment instruments for children with special needs. The goal to be achieved in this research is to identify and describe teacher difficulties in compiling assessment instruments for children with special needs so that solutions can be found that help teachers carry out their duties. This study uses a quantitative method with data collection techniques from previous research journals. The research results that have been obtained are then analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that there are still many teachers who experience difficulties in compiling assessment instruments due to the lack of standard curriculum references for students with special needs, in addition to the teacher's lack of ability to identify the types of needs of students with special needs. The solution that can be done by the teacher is to form a special team to design learning for children with special needs, besides that the teacher must also be able to map students based on the type of difficulties and their needs so that they can determine the appropriate assessment instrument

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems found in SLB Negeri 1 Padang, specifically in the case of  a mental retardation in class IX C who have low learning outcomes in terms of recognizing two-dimensional figures. Based on the assessment results, it was found that students faced difficulties in school activities such as recognizing two-dimensional figures like squares, rectangles, triangles, and circles. The aim of this research is to improve the process and learning outcomes of recognizing two-dimensional figures through the implementation of Project-Based Learning. The research method used is Classroom Action Research, consisting of two cycles. Based on the research results, the use of the Project-Based Learning model is effective in improving the learning outcomes of plane geometry. This is evident from the increased learning outcomes of the students in each cycle.

Abstract

This study raises the problem of autistic VII class at SLB N 1 Padang where the results of students' mathematics learning are still low in learning to recognize the elements of cubic and block geometric shapes. The purpose of this study was to see the process of implementing learning to recognize geometric elements and to improve learning outcomes for class VII autistic students with material to recognize geometric elements of cubes and blocks through a project based learning model. The method used in this research is classroom action research which consists of two cycles, where each cycle has four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. based on the results of the study, students experienced an increase in the learning process, it was seen that children were more independent and the results of learning material about geometric elements increased after using the project based learning model. This proves that the project based learning model can improve learning outcomes for class VII autistic students as seen from the learning outcomes of autistic students which increase each cycle.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dukungan keluarga dan penerimaan diri orang tua yang memiliki anak Cerebral Palsy. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif studi kasus dimana sumber data diperoleh dari orang tua yang memiliki anak cerebral palsy sebagai data primer dan data sekunder didapatkan dari nenek dan bibi dari anak cerebral palsy sedangkan pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sample. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara terencana-tidak terstruktur dengan uji validitas data berupa triangulasi sumber dan analisis data menggunakan model Miles and Huberman. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu: penerimaan diri orang tua termasuk kedalam tahapan penerimaan dan dukungan yang di berikan oleh keluarga terdiri dari pemberian informasi, ungkapan untuk menghiraukan kalimat negative, bantuan dalam merawat anak, adanya diskusi dan afeksi dari keluarga.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems that researchers found at SLBN 1 Padang, namely mild mentally retarded children in class IX C in currency recognition activities, where children's learning outcomes are still very low in the concept of the nominal value of money, children do not know the nominal value of currency so that children experience difficulties in carrying out daily activities such as shopping in the canteen. For this reason, this study aims to improve the learning process of recognizing the value of the currency through a problem-based learning model and learning outcomes in recognizing currency values and their uses for mentally retarded children. The type of research used in this research is using classroom action research, this research uses two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Based on the results of this study, proves that the problem-based learning model can improve the learning process and learning outcomes in the ability to recognize currency values in mentally retarded children. This can be seen from the increased student learning outcomes in each cycle

Abstract

This research is an action research conducted in two cycles, with 6 participants who are students with intellectual disabilities in the 11th grade at SLB Negeri 1 Padang. The purpose of this study is to improve the learning process and outcomes of students with intellectual disabilities in the subject of Science, specifically on the topic of Earth rotation, through the implementation of project-based learning (PjBL) model. The data collection methods used in this study were tests and observations. The instruments used to collect cognitive data were objective tests, affective domain data were collected using observation sheets, and psychomotor data were collected through performance and product demonstrations. The data obtained were then analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that there was an improvement in the learning process and outcomes of the students from pre-cycle with an average score of 30, to cycle I with a score of 60, and cycle II with a score of 81.6, achieving a 100% mastery level. The conclusion of this study is that learning with the PjBL model can enhance the learning process and outcomes.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems found in SLB Negeri 1 Padang in class VII Autism, the low learning outcomes in material changes in the form of objects. At the time of learning the teacher uses methods and lectures, exercises and questions and answers. This study aims to improve the process and learning outcomes of material changes in the form of objects through a project based learning model. The research method used was classroom action research consisting of two cycles. Based on the results of the research, the learning outcomes of material changes in the shape of objects increased compared to before using the project based learning model. This can be seen from the learning process and student learning outcomes which increase in each cycle

Abstract

Students with mild intellectual disabilities experience problems related to academic abilities because their intelligence level is below average at an IQ of 50-70. As a result, student learning outcomes in class are low. However, academic potential can still be developed optimally. The aim of this research is to improve thematic learning outcomes using the think-tac-toe strategy for students in class VII C class VII C light class 4 Tunagrhaita at SLB YPPLB Padang. Research was carried out on theme 5 (ecosystem), sub-theme 2 (ecosystem components), learning 3 (relationship of biotic and abiotic components) with content in Indonesian, science and mathematics. The low student learning outcomes were due to the strategies used previously being conventional and not accommodating student needs. The research method used is Collaborative PTK in 2 cycles, with stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data was obtained using observation, tests and interviews. Data analysis uses quantitative analysis in the form of visual graphs and qualitative analysis in the form of information in learning. The research results showed that there was an increase in thematic learning outcomes for blind students using the Think-tac-toe strategy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh permasalahan yang ditemukan di SLB N 2 Pariaman, terdapat anak tunagrahita berinisial DN. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan apakah penggunaan video tutorial sebagai media pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan keterampilan vokasional membuat anyang Padang bagi anak tunagrahita ringan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Single Subject Research (SSR) dengan desain A-B-A. Data dikumpulkan secara kontiniu pada kondisi baseline (A1) sebanyak 3 kali pertemuan, kemudian dilakukan intervensi (B) menggunakan media video tutorial sebanyak 4 kali pertemuan, dan dilanjutkan dengan melihat kondisi baseline (A2) sebanyak 3 kali pertemuan. Hasil analisis kemampuan membuat anyang Padang anak pada kondisi baseline (A1) mean levelnya 43. Kemudian, pada pada saat intervensi (B) kemampuan membuat anyang Padang anak meningkat dengan mean level 74,25. Sementara pada kondisi sesudah intervensi atau pada kondisi baseline (A2) diperoleh data bahwasannya kemampuan anak stabil dengan mean level 89. Dari data yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media video tutorial dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan anak tunagrahita ringan pada keterampilan vokasional membuat anyang Padang di SLB N 2 Pariaman.

Abstract

Anak tunagrahita umumnya mengalami masalah pada intelektual, salah satunya sulit dalam memahami dan mengimplementasikan pembelajaran vokasional. Berdasarkan hasil asesmen, ditemukan anak tunagrahita ringan kelas VIII di SLB Negeri 2 Padang. Pemilihan subjek dilakukan secara observasi dan tes perbuatan. Teknik modelling ialah teknik dalam pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan pada anak tunagrahita agar anak lebih mudah dipahami dan mengerti pembelajaran yang sedang dipelajari. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan anak tunagrahita kelas VIII/C dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mecuci sepeda motor menggunakan teknik modelling. Desain yang digunakan ialah desain subjek tunggal/SSR yang berpola A-B-A. Penelitian dilakukan selama 13 kali pertemuan dengan A1 dilaksanakan sebanyak tiga kali dan anak mendapatkan persentase sebanyak 45%,45%,45%, B dilaksanakan sebanyak enam kali pertemuan serta anak mendapatkan persentase sebanyak 57%,64%,75%,80%,80%, 80% dan A2 dilaksanakan sebanyak empat kali sehingga anak mendapatkan persentase sebanyak 80%,85%,85%,85%. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bagaimana penggunaan teknik modelling dapat meningkatkan kemampuan anak-anak tunagrahita ringan dalam mencuci sepeda motor.
