Abstract

Asphyxia is a condition in which the baby cannot breathe, thus reducing O2 and increasing CO2 which is bad. Risk factors for the incidence of asphyxia are maternal factors such as his disorder, presence of antepartum bleeding, maternal age less than 20 years or more than 35 years, primiparous and grande multiparous, low socioeconomic, preeclampsia and his disorders. Infant factors, namely respiratory depression due to anesthesia or analgesic drugs given to the mother, intracranial bleeding, congenital abnormalities, premature, postmature, location abnormalities, twins, shoulder dystocia, vacuum extraction, forceps, amniotic fluid mixed with meconium. Placental factors include umbilical cord twisting, short umbilical cord, umbilical cord knot, and umbilical cord prolapse. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge of pregnant women about risk factors for newborn asphyxia with delivery referral planning. This type of research is quantitative analytic with a cross sectional research design. This research was conducted at Puskesmas RI Sidomulyo with a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The results showed a relationship between mother's knowledge of risk factors for newborn asphyxia and delivery referral planning with p value = 0.007. This study is expected for midwives in providing midwifery services to pregnant women to provide knowledge about the risk factors for newborn asphyxia so that pregnant women can make a labor referral plan if during the delivery process they experience the risk of newborn asphyxia and the knowledge of pregnant women about risk factors for infant asphyxia. newborns so that they can plan a delivery referral if an emergency case is found in a newborn.

Abstract

Menstrual pain or dysmenorrhea in Indonesia is experienced by 55% of the population. This dysmenorrhea can cause the body to become weak and interfere with school activities for young girls. The treatment for dysmenorrhea is that young women can consult a doctor, drink herbal concoctions or do light physical activities. The purpose of the study was to determine the knowledge and behavior of adolescent girls in overcoming dysmenorrhea at SMAN 13 Muara Fajar Pekanbaru. This research was conducted using a cross-sectional design. The number of samples obtained was 44 people with purposive sampling technique. The data collection tool uses a questionnaire. In this study, the data were analyzed univariately and bivariately with Chi Square Test. The results of the bivariate analysis obtained P value = 0.029 <0.05. This can be interpreted that there is a relationship between the knowledge of adolescents about handling dysmenorrhea with the behavior of young women in overcoming dysmenorrhea. In the results of the analysis, the value of OR = 8.035, which means that young women who have good knowledge will be at risk of doing good behavior 8 times in overcoming dysmenorrhea.

Abstract

Adolescent girls who experience anemia are still high in Indonesia, namely by 23%, mainly due to iron deficiency. This study aims to analyze the nutritional status of adolescents with the incidence of anemia in female adolescents. The design in this study was a cross sectional study. The sample in this study were all students of the Midwifery Study Program Undergraduate Program and Midwifery Study Program Diploma Three STIKES YARSI Mataram who were included in the group of older adolescents, namely 17-20 years of age as many as 80 respondents. Nutritional status was determined based on Body Mass Index (BMI), while anemia status was determined based on hemoglobin levels as measured using the Easy Touch brand hemoglobin strip. Bivariate analysis was tested with Pearson Chi-square. The results showed that anemia was not related to the nutritional status of young women with a value of p=0.475 (p>0.005). This is because anemia has many risk factors, including length of menstruation, iron intake, and consuming iron absorption inhibitors. Therefore, it is recommended for young women to consume iron-rich foods and iron tablets.

Abstract

Adolescence requires a balanced nutritional intake for growth and development, one of which is iron. Teenage girls really need iron during menstruation. Iron deficiency can increase the risk of anemia, namely a lack of red blood cells or hemoglobin (Hb), this condition makes people with anemia look pale, tired and weak, and can continue into adulthood and affect conditions during pregnancy. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and the type of food consumed to prevent anemia in adolescents in Pekanbaru. This research is quantitative analytic with a cross-sectional research design. This research was conducted at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru, the sample was taken by purposive sampling. The number of samples as many as 65 respondents. The analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate. The results of the study showed that the majority of young women's knowledge was good as many as 40 people (61.5%), the majority consumed foods containing a lot of heme iron as many as 49 people (75.4%). The results of the univariate analysis of the majority of respondents have good knowledge about anemia as many as 40 people (61.5%) and the majority of young women consume foods that contain a lot of iron as many as 49 people (75.4%). The results of bivariate analysis using chi square obtained P value = 0.01 < 0.05, this means that there is a relationship between knowledge about anemia and the type of food consumed by young women. It is recommended for schools to work together with the Health and often conduct counseling and distribution of free Fe tablets and disseminate information about anemia in school maddings so that all young girls always remember the importance of consuming foods containing iron to avoid anemia

Abstract

Breastfeeding is the best investment for survival and improving the health, social, economic development of individuals and nations. Post partum breast care is breast care for mothers after giving birth as early as possible. The benefits of post partum breast care include launching the milk expulsion reflex or let down reflex, effective ways to increase the volume of expressed breast milk, and preventing dams in the breasts/swollen breasts. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Breastcare in breastfeeding mothers on milk production. This type of research is quantitative with a quacy experimental research design with a two group pretest-posttest design where this design measures the amount of breast milk that is massaged with those who are not massaged (pretest) and reassessed after the massage (pretest). This research will be conducted in the Work Area of the Rumbai Health Center. The time of the study was carried out from February to June 2022. . the sample group to be taken is 11 people with a total of 22 people. The study was conducted for 7 days by giving breastcare for 7 times and then the milk production was seen on the 8th day. The results of data analysis using independent t test in table 6 above show that the average milk production in the postpartum breast care group is smoother than the group without postpartum breast care, namely 6.84 > 3.72 and the thit value > ttab (16.47 > 1.691) or the value of : 0.000 <0.05, which means that Postpartum Breastcare is effective in increasing breast milk production in breastfeeding mothers. Breastcare can be used as a recommendation as an addition to routine care for postpartum and breastfeeding mothers to help succeed in exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

Breastfeeding failure is often caused by psychological factors of the mother in the early days of the breastfeeding process. Mothers often feel afraid that the milk produced is not sufficient for their baby's needs. If breastfeeding in the early period of birth cannot be done, the next best alternative is to express or pump breast milk for 10 - 20 minutes every two to three hours until the baby can suckle. This action can help maximize prolactin receptors and minimize the side effects of delayed breastfeeding in infants. This study uses a Quasy Experiment Design (Pseudo Experimental Design) by using the One Group Pretest-Postest Design. The population and sample in this study were all postpartum mothers totaling 40 people. This study uses a Porposive Sampling technique with univariate and bivariate analysis with T test. Research obtained from data analysis with the Wilcoxon test. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the marmet technique on the smoothness of breast milk in post partum mothers. The results in the table show that the P-Value (0.001) <0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an effect of marmet technique on the smoothness of breastfeeding in postpartum mothers. The recommendation in the researcher is that the marmet technique is effective to carry out breastfeeding in postpartum mothers and the marmet technique can stimulate an increase in the hormones prolaksin and oxytocin which has a relaxing effect on postpartum mothers so that this can be practiced for postpartum mothers.

Abstract

COVID-19 is the dominant research topic in health communication in the last three years. The majority of discussions and activities focused on studying the application of communication strategies to inform individual decision making. However, the role of health communication in an effective and efficient way to increase one's knowledge about health risks and provide skills that encourage reducing the social impact of health communication is still lacking attention. This research aims to provide these insights because in order to solve problems related to vaccine doubts and misinformation. The focus of this research is on health communication measurement; therefore, it is important to obtain scale validation as a measurement requirement. Mixed research methods, divided into qualitative stages through open questions from the results of the literature review. Continuing quantitatively, the respondents' answers were then compiled into statement items, passed a readability test, and a scale trial. The population of this study is the Indonesian people who have received at least the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. The benefit of this research is to strengthen public awareness for healthy behavior and to accept vaccination programs. As a result, a health communication scale was obtained which was developed from five aspects: source, channel, message, audience, and context by Nelson's theory in 16 items through confirmatory factor analysis processed by PLS-SEM software on 319 people. Health communication has a negative relationship with Vaccine Hesitancy with an influence contribution of 53.7%. This finding can certainly be a preliminary study for further research. The next discussion is part of the task of behavioral science related to professional communication for health promotion.
