The purpose of this study is to describe how the students of Faculty of Medicine, Andalas University determine the credibility of health information retrieved from the Internet. Data was collected through observation and interviews toward the Faculty of Medicine students. Data was analyzing descriptively. The findings of the research is a few criteria to determine the information credibility, such as (1) appearance, (2) the author, (3) the numbers of advertising and, (4) affiliate institutions. It is suggested additional criteria to determine the credibility of health information, those are (1) notify the E-health field, (2) compare the information on the internet to information in printed books. Writing this paper aims to describe: (1) the application of Case Tracking System in records management in the High Court of Class 1A Padang, (2) constraints application of Case Tracking System in records management in the High Court of Class 1A Padang, (3) measures to be done so that the application of Case Tracking System in records management in Class 1A High Court of Padang goes well. Based on the results of wording can be concluded as follows. First, the activities in the application of Case Tracking System in records management in the High Court of Padang as Class 1A, archive storage systems, fixtures in records management, the system used in records management and retrieval. Secondly, there are still obstacles encountered in the implementation of Case Tracking System in records management in Class 1A High Court of Padang like, human resources, equipment, upgrade applications and Internet network access. Third, efforts were made in implementation Case Tracking System in records management in Class 1A High Court of Padang like, improve human resources, improving infrastructure, training to upgrade applications and improve network.Â Keywords:Case Tracking System, records,managementÂ

This paper purpose to describe of making an annotated bibliography of Islamic books collection in the library and archives official of Sungai Penuh City Jambi Province to make it easier to find the Information neded one day later. The mathad used in writing this paper is descriptive mathad. With data collection tecniqver through disect oservation and interviews. Stages in creating annotated bibliography are: (1) the determination title of the book is done with consideration of the avai lability of religious book collection which is still in a good codition; (2) collection of library materials by recording bibliographic data; (3) selection of library materials is done by separating books with religious subjects and books that are not with religious subjects; (4) grauping or clarificat ion; (5) keyword creation is done describing a subject matter; (6) Indexing based on author index, title index, and keyword index; (7) typing bibliographic texts; (8) the final bibliographic manuscript examination can be done by checking.Keyword:annotated bibliography; religious book of Islam

Abstract The purpose of this study is to describe the role of the filing system in supporting work efficiency in the Padang City Library and Archives Service.Â The writing of this paper uses descriptive research methods with data collection techniques through interviews.Â Based on the results of the study it can be concluded as follows.Â (1) The filing system applied in the Padang City Library and Archives Service uses a substitution system, this substitution system is carried out in each area of expertise so that employees and archivists are not fixed with a particular field and gain experience with archives.Â (2) Archival management in the Padang City Library and Archives Service must know the distribution of archives.Â (3) The contribution of records management in supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of the work of employees in the Padang City Library and Archives Service. The effectiveness in managing records in an office is influenced by employees working in the filing unit.Keywords:Â system role, filing, work efficiency.

This research aims to design deskipsi the manufacture of means of promotion as a media campaign to promote children's Reading Society likes to move forward in prosperity to the general public, so the public can know the existence of the Grounds Advanced in prosperity the community Likes Reading. CorelDRAW X 4 software selection and use of fireworks CS3 is the second such software is software that is used in the manufacture of media promotion with print media, although the fireworks are used in web designing, in the manufacture of means of promotion are also common. The Data collected through direct observation and interviews with owners and managers of children's Literature Community likes to move forward in prosperity. This paper discusses about construction of Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) of Circulation Service at SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang’s library. This paper aims to describe the preparation and construction of Operational Procedure (SOP) of Circulation Service at SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang’s library. The researcher used description method. Then, the technique of data collection is observation and interview.Based on the research it can be concluded that Firs’t, the preparation to construct the Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) of Circulation Service at SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang’s library includes (1) finding out needs; (2) evaluating and assessing needs; (3) determining needs;(4) determining alternative step. Second, the construction of Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) of Circulation Service at SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang’s library includes (1) collecting information bydiscussing and doing interview with the headmaster of staff of the library; (2) making the basic draft, trying out the instrument and asking approval to the headmaster of the library, trying out the existing instrument with SOP’s draft that has been discussed; (3) making and attaching SOP’s document proponent; (4) attaching the designer of SOP and the validator and; (5) attaching the constructional date, revision and the validation.Keyword: library, Standard Operational Procedure (SOP), services.

This research aims to describe (1) the level of use of the school library as a learning resource center elementary school students Painan 23 North, (2) The school library which includes a collection of libraries, library collections and processing, library services, facilities and infrastructure perpustakaanSD N 23 North Painan as a learning resource center. Writing this using qualitative methods, analyzing the data carried by describing and explaining data. Data were collected by interview and observation. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded. (1) the existence of SD State Library 23 North Painan as a learning resource center is still not optimally utilized by teachers and students, (2) implementation of the Elementary School Library 23 North Painan not optimal, because the collection is owned by the SD State 23 North Painan still minimal. Processing the collection has been done although not optimal because there is a special librarians administer libraries yan. Library services are still constrained by the short time the library is open at rest. While the elementary school library Painan 23 North has a good infrastructure, but has not been fully utilized.Keywords: utilities; learning resource center

Abstract The purpose of this paper is to describe the process of creating a cultural literacy package in Kampung Batu Fishermen Village, Batang Arau, Padang Selatan, Padang City. This research uses a descriptive method. Data was collected through a literature review as well as direct observation and interviews with the Chairman of the RW, fishermen, and community leaders in Kampung Batu Fishermen Village located in RW II, Batang Arau Sub-District, Padang Selatan District, Padang City. Based on research that has been done can be concluded as follows. Making this information package is done through five stages. First, the culture of fishing communities in Kampung Batu Fishermen Village, Batang Arau, Padang Selatan, Padang City, among others: (1) Gender system; (2) Labor Agent-Fisherman Relations; (3) patterns of resource exploitation; (4) Social leadership. Secondly, the creation of a Culture literacy information package in Kampung Batu Fishermen Village, Batang Arau, South Padang, Padang City is carried out through five stages, namely: (1) Establishing the topic and type of information package packaging; (2) information gathering; (3) Analysis of the results of information gathering; (4) packaging information; (5) Evaluation of information packages. The explanation of the results of the manufacturing process is as follows: Determine the topic and type of information package packaging, the topic raised is Cultural Literacy in the Kampung Batu Fishermen Village, Batang Arau, South Padang, Padang City which is packaged in a printed information package; Information gathering is done by interview and direct observation to the Kampung Batu Fisherman Village. In addition, it is necessary to search the literature so that the data obtained for an information package becomes a product that presents true and relevant information; Analysis of the results of information gathering. From the information gathering, it is known that what is considered important as a cultural identity builder of fishing communities such as gender systems, patron-client relations, patterns of resource exploitation, and social leadership; Packaging information, done by presenting information that has been obtained from gathering information in the form of an information package; Evaluation of the information package is done by submitting a questionnaire to 10 respondents and it is known that 92.4% of respondents strongly agree that the cultural literacy information package is interesting, informative and has benefits for its users.Keywords: information package; cultural literacy; fisherman

The purposes of this research are (1) to describe an active dynamic archive storage system at DPRD administration office of West Sumatra, (2) to describe the procedure of the information retrieval of the system. The data was collected descriptively by observation and interviewed to ward the archivists at the office. The findings of this research are as below. First, the archive storage system at DPRD secretary office in West Sumatra was unappropriate to the existing theories. In this office, the archive storage system only conducted based on the incoming and outgoing mails that caused the archieve being stacks, disorganized and difficult to retrieve. Second, the archieve retrieval system in the office was unappropriate because it was only done by using agenda which takes a long time to find the archive. The archivists have to manage the archieves one by one in the agenda based on the incoming and outgoing mails.Keywords: storage syste;retrieva;active dynamic archive

This research has been done by a descriptive method by visiting directly to libraries and archives of Padang Panjang city. After the data analyzed, the conclusion explains some steps of preparation a index of Minangkabau intellectual works collection: (1) preliminary observations; (2) selecting collections; (3) recording collection descriptions; (4) create annotations (5) create keywods; (6) indexing; (7) typing index.Keywords: index, annotations, Minangkabau
