Abstract

Onions (Allium ascalonicum L) are one of the horticultural crops that are widely used as a seasoning mixture.One of the important factors in onion cultivation is the selection of varieties.In addition to the selection of varieties, cutting the tip of the tuber 1/4 or 1/3 is possible to stimulate buds, accelerate growth and establishment of seedlings.This research aimed to study and evaluate the growth and yield response of several onion varieties due to tuber cutting treatment..This research was carried out in the Tambon Tunong community garden, Dewantara District, North Aceh Regency and the Malikussaleh University Agricultural Laboratory, starting from February 2020 to April 2020.This study used a factorial randomized block design consisting of 9 treatment combinations with 3 replications in order to gain 27 experimental units.The first factor is the onion varieties, while the second factor is cutting the tubers, each consisting of 3 levels of treatment.The results showed that the different varieties had a very significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, wet and dry weight of tubers.Tuber cutting treatment has a significant effect on tuber yield.Treatment interactions were obtained on the number of tillers due to tuber cutting treatments and the use of different varieties.The best treatment was obtained in Bauji varieties by cutting 1/3 of the onion bulb.

Abstract

This research aim is to provide information about impact of combination manure and inorganic fertilizer application to growth and yields performance of red ginger plants cultivated in pandemic Covid-19 period. The research was conducted in Majalaya sub-district of Karawang District, from March to October 2020. The research used experiment method and Randomized Block Design (RDB) as it experimental design which was arranged single factor, that are combination of manure and fertilizer (4 treatment) each repeated 6 times. The best growth in vegetative phase of red ginger crop aged 6 months after planting is P1 (combination of 0,5 kg/polybag treatment of manure, 7,5 g/polybag treatment Urea, 5,0 g/polybag treatment of KCl, and 5,0 g/polybag treatment of SP36) but not significantto P4 treatment (combination of 1,0 kg/polybag treatment of manure, 3,75 g/polybag treatment Urea, 2,5 g/polybag treatment of KCl, and 2,5 g/polybag treatment of SP36) fo reach plant height parameters of 39.2 cm and 37,9 cm, and each stem diameter of 24 mm and 23 mm. Treatment of P1 yielded the highest fresh rhizome weight 450,2 and 439,8 gram/ clump at 8 month after planting. Decreasing of inorganic fertilizer to 50% and increasing of manure t0 100% in Entisol would be growth and yields of red ginger crop are not significant if it compares to standard combination fertilizer and manure application.

Abstract

This research was purposed to study The effect of Various Plant Growth Regulator and origin of stem cutting on vegetative Growth of Periwinkle (Catharanthus roseus (L.) G. Don). The experiment was conduced in Cengkong village Purwasari District of Karawang from April until June 2020.This research used Randomized Block Desain (RBD) factorial pattern 3 x 3 and repeated 4 times. First factor is the type plant growth regulator (Z) consist of three levels, namely; z0 = water, z1 = 100% coconut water extract, and z2 = Rootone-F 100 ppm. Second factor is origin of stem cutting (B) consist of three levels, namely: b1 = base of stem, b2= middle stem, and b3 = upper stem.The result of this reseach showed no interaction between the type plant growth regulation and stem origin on vegetative growth of periwinkle plant. However there are, the origin of upper stem has the best effect to the presentation of stem life, stem height, amount of leaves, roots length, amount of root, and growing speed of stem. Whereas, the middle stems has the best effect of the shoots appear and amount of shoots.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the best effect from the consentration of coconut water to growth of kawista leaf explant (Limonia acidissima L.) with tissue culture methods. Research done in the laboratory of faculty of Agriculture of Singaperbangsa University. The method of research used experimental method, using a single Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Consisting of 12 treatments of coconut water, namely A control 0%, B 10%, C 20%, D 30%, E 40%, F 50%, G 60%, H 70%, I 80%, J 90%, K 100%, and L 10 ppm NAA+0,1 ppm BAP, each treatment with 3 replications. The results showed significant test done DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) standard of 5%. The results showed that administration of coconut water significantly affected the percentage of callus growth, callus emergence and callus weight. The best treatment was with a treatment I (80%) with 100% growth percentage, and give callus weight of 1,22 gram. Treatment D (30%) give fastest callus growth time is 9 hsi.

Abstract

Rice is a staple food source of nearly 40% of the world's population and the main food of Southeast Asian residents. One attempt to increase the production of superior rice varieties that is through anther culture.Research was implemented in the UPTD of Rengasdengklok Agricultural Management, in March to June 2020. The purpose of the study was to obtain dihaploid rice paddy grooves the result of anther culture that had a good agronomic appearance and high yield power. The research method used is an experimental method using single Factor RAK with treatment amount 9 namely: A (DR1-33-1-2), B (DR2-46-1-1), C (DR2-113-1-1), D (DR4-2-1-2), E (DR4-51-1-1-1), F (DR4-51-1-3), G (DR5-68-1-1), H (INPARI 18), I (INPARI 40) with 3 times redoublease , then if there is a real influential treatment carried out advanced analysis using DMRT 5%. The DMRT test showed that there was a real influence of several gallurs of rice paddy (Oryza sativa L.) in haploids of anther culture results on agronomic doubt and yields in Kabupaten Karawang in high parameters of plants, number of vegetative tilles, number of productive tillers, harvest life, flowering life, length of mallai, number of filling grain, number of vacuum, percentage of grain , a percentage of vacuum grain and a weight of 1000 grains of filling grain. Galur rice paddy (Oryza sativa L.) in haploid yields anther culture D9 (DR4-51-1-1) were a real effect on harvest life, mallai length and amount of filling grain. The highest milled dry grain (Ton/ha) result is achieved by a D7 (DR4-2-1-2) gallur that is 12.69 Ton/ha.

Abstract

Sorghum is include on grains but more widely used for livestock fodder. Sweet sorghum are often referred to as a raw materials for clean industry because almost all of the components of its biomass can be used for various industrial purposes. The aims of the research are to determine the effect of different types of manure on the growth and field of two varieties of sweet sorghum in dry land. The research method is a factorial experiment using Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD), consists of two factors, which is sweet sorghum varieties and manure types. The varieties which was used are Numbu and Kawali. The second treatment which was used are without manure, chicken manure, goat manure, cow manure, and kascing. Total treatment combination is ten units and each combination repeated three times. The research variables are plant height, stem diameter, leaf number, leaf area, root length, root volume, fresh weight stover, dry weight stover, number of seeds, seed weight, essence content, and sugar content. Data were analyzed using F test with 95% of confidence level, if there is significantly a difference, and then followed by DMRT method in level of 5%. The result of this research shows that the highest sugar content is Kawali variety treatmented by chicken manure equals to 12.13 obrix. On the other hand, for lowest sugar level is Numbu variety treatmented by cow manure equals to 10.33 obrix. Interaction between types of manure and sweet sorghum varieties occurs in number of seeds per plant. Keywords: dry land, organic manure, sweet sorghum, Sorghum bicolor L.

Abstract

Productivity of white pepper has steadily decreased in the last five years. One of the limiting factors the production of white pepper plantations in Bangka is the pest attack. This research was conducted to determine distribution of insect pests in the white pepper plantations in South Bangka Regency, which is the centre of white pepper production in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. This research was conducted by observing and detemining the white pepper plantations using purposive sampling methode. The results found two insect families that dominate in the white pepper plantations, namely the coreidae which is a family of Dasynus piperis, fruit-sucking pests and the fimicidae, not a pest. The insect diversity index in the low to medium category, the richness index in the low category, and evenness index in the medium category.

Abstract

Propagation media rich in starch is important for the growth and development of the fungus Metharizium rileyi for its efficacy against Tribolium castaneum pests. The aim of this research was to select the best propagation media for Metharizium rileyi in order to obtain the best germination, conidia count, virulence and concentration of the propagation medium against T. castaneum. The method used was a single factor completely randomized design (RAL). The results of this study were the selection of propagation media affected the highest final colony diameter (8.00 cm). Rice media was significantly different from PDA (6.28 cm), Peanut (3.56 cm), and Bran (5.40 cm) The best conidia density was (4.62 x 10⁸ spores / ml) media Rice was not significantly different from PDA (5.95 x 10⁸ spores / ml), the highest germination capacity (58.21%) was on rice media, the difference in media weight was after 21 the highest hsi (1.85 grams) of rice was not significantly different from peanuts (2.22 grams) and rice bran (1.89 grams). The infectivity of the best propagation media on rice media had a significant effect on the mortality of T. castaneum (68.00%) at a concentration of 109 spores / ml, and the LC50 mortality rate was 5.86 x 107 spores / ml with an LT50 of 5.06 days and the difference in feed weight was not. effect on the number of insects in the T. castaneum test. The fungus M. rileyi has potential as a biological control agent to replace insecticides against T. castaneum. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to get the obtain immersion of organic matter that gives the highest yields at the long of storage of the apple cucumber (Cucumis sp) seed. Research was conducted in the Laboratory of Agronomy of The Agricultural Faculty of the Singaperbangsa University. The method of research used experimental methods, using a Randomized Complete Design (RCD) with two factors. The first factor is the length of seed storage consisting of 0 weeks (T0), 4 weeks (T1), 8 weeks (T2), and 12 weeks (T3). The second factor are immersion with organic matter consisting of control (P1), coconut water (P2), and rice laundry water (P3). Each treatment was repeated thrice so that accrued 36 units of experiment. The results showed significant test don DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) standard of 5%. The results showed that there is no effect of interaction between the long of seed storage with the immersion using organic matter on growing potential, germinating power, index vigor, greedy growing, speed growing. Independently long seed storage and immersion of organic matter provide significant result on the entire observed variable. Best yield obtained at length storage of 8 weeks by immersion using organic matter of rice water. Keyword: Cucumber apple, Organic matter, viability, vigor, storage.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the interaction between aeration and vermicompost on the growth and yield of baby kailan (Brassica oleracea L var. aceplaha) New Veg-Gin varieties on hydroponics of wick system. Experiment was carried in Kepuh, Karangpawitan Village, Karawang, West Java, from July to September 2020. The research method used is an experimental method using a factorial randomized block design. There are two factors of 10 treatments. First factor is aeration which of 2 levels, A0 (non aerated) and A1 (aerated). The second factor was dose of vermicompost nutrition which consisted 5 levels, P0 (AB mix), P1 (10ml), P2 (20ml), P3 (30ml), and P4 (40ml). Each treatment repeated 3 times so there were 30 units. Effect of treatment in analysis of variety and if F test at 5% level significant, then continued DMRT test at 5% level. The results of the experiment showed that there was no interaction between the provision of aeration system treatment level and vermicompost dosing on the growth and yield of baby kailan plants. A0 gave the highest yield on plant fresh weight 10.61 g. P1 gave the highest yield of 9.88 g plant fresh weight, which was not significantly different from other vermicompost doses.
