Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the structure of the text mantra, the requirements in the process of inheritance mantra, incantations and supporting aspects Pasisik in Kenagarian Canduang. This research is descriptive qualitative research method. The research findings are from structure aspect using basmallah as the opening mantra, the contents of the mantra is a request to God for temp people into his compassion and love to those who wanted it, and say lailahaillallah as the closing mantra. Supporting aspects of the mantra is: (1) the time of incantations at night, (2) the place of incantations is at home or in requester shaman mantra’s house, (3) an event or occasion of mantra is when there is a request, (4 ) the actors in the chant is someone who is  a healer, (5) equipment in the mirror spell, gelundi three branches, rendang peanuts, candy, salt, (6) the dress that usually used is clean regular clothes and close the genitals, (7) the way in bringing the mantra that is sitting cross-legged, concentrating and need a quiet atmosphere. Aspects spell inheritance is bequeathed by the family and learn to implement the conditions studied, the introduction of yourself.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the ideology of the main character in the novel Ranah 3 Warna works Ahmad Fuadi, which includes a reflection of ideology, familiis, sosialis, idealistic, religious, optimistic and sensitifis were illustrated from the behavior of figures. Type of research is a qualitative study using descriptive methods.The data in this study are sentences that describe the ideology of the main figures. Sources of data in this study is novel Ranah 3 Warna works Ahmad Fuadi.The findings of study are: (1) Aif Fikri as the main character, (2) the role ideology familiis, sosialis, idealistic, religious, optimistic, and sensitifis.

Abstract

This article was written that has purpose to describe the kind of social critic in the short story, Harian Kompas January 2012 edition, and also describe what is the cause of social critics in the short story, Harian Kompas January 2012 edition. This research used descriptive method that was a method to describe about the event in objective. This research data was consisting about the events that related with social problems in that short story. Based on the result of this research has gotten some kinds of social critics, those are: (1) a justice problem, (2) poverty problem, (3) victim, (4) the problem of modern life society, and (5) the problem about violation of society norms. There are some factors that cause of social critics, those are: (1) economic factor, and (2) psychology factor.

Abstract

The purpose of this study were to (1) describe the ability of students to determine the sentence facts through intensive reading class X-SMAK SMK Padang, (2) describe the ability of students to determine the sentence opinions through intensive reading class X-SMAK SMK Padang, (3) describes the differences of students' ability to distinguish between fact and opinion sentences through intensive reading class X-SMAK SMK Padang. The data of this research is a test answer sheet that was held on December 6, 2012. Tests to be objective about the amount of about 30 grains of matter, which consists of 15 questions and 15 questions facts opinions. The data sources of this study are writing as a source of primary sources of the student-SMAK SMK Padang. Data collected view of providing intensive reading test paragraphs of the matter abjektif given researchers. The findings of the study showed that there is a difference in determining the sentence facts and opinions. The ability to determine the facts sentences (69.80%) and subjective (63.88%).

Abstract

This article aim to the describe a form of eroticism in the novel Nayla by Djenar Maesa Ayu.The theory used is the is the structural theory with the techniques of content analysis, the inventory data from the text that indicates the attitude of eroticism. Based on data analysis, it is concluded that the different meanings with erotic pornography.But both said it departed from the human libido, eroticism is a reflection of the behavior, circumstances, or the atmosphere, causing the human libido is based on lust.The result of this research indicate a form of eroticism is revealed through discovery and discussion. In the analysis of the researceh findings are novel structures, by describing the intrinsic element contained in  the content of the novel Nayla by Djenar Maesa Ayu.The conclusion is a form of eroticism expressed as founding, intercourse, kiss, play on bed, in the form of sentences of text.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was (1) to describe the moral conscience, (2) describe the moral values ​​of freedom and responsibility, (3) describe the value of moral rights and obligations, (4) describe the moral value ​​and norm. The data of this study are sentences that describe moral values​​. The data source of this research is the novel Jermal by Yokie Adityo first printed work was published in Yogyakarta by publisher Landscape Library in 2009 with the numbers as much as 138 pages ISBN 978-979-1227-75-9. This research is a qualitative descriptive method. The findings of this study consisted of 13 moral conscience, 11 moral values ​​of freedom and responsibility, 23 the value of moral rights and obligations, and 31 moral values ​​and norms.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the values ​​of Minangkabau culture in the novel Cinta di Kota Serambi of Irzen Hawer work, which includes the value system of kinship between people and the value of human relationships. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method that is content analysis. Sources of this study is novel Cinta di Kota Serambi of Hawer Irzen work. Data was collected through the steps: (1) read and understand the novel, (2) marking the Minangkabau cultural values ​​are reflected in the novel, (3) inventory data, and (4) to classify the data. Based on the results of this study revealed that (1) the value of kinship systems are discussed in the novel is found in only three of the eight types of kinship, ibu jo anak relationship, bapak jo anak and mamak jo kamanakan. Kinship already well established between ibu jo anak and bapak jo anak, but the relationship mamak jo kamanakan looks bad relationships, quarrels and disputes, (2) the value of relationships among humans in the novel is discussed among peers, students with teachers, between cousins​​, and landlady with men.

Abstract

The purposes of this research is to describe, profeminism  phenomenon that reflected character, contrafeminism phenomenon of the character, the opposition and firmed of feminism in novel Cinta Suci Zahrana that created by Habiburrahman El Shirazy, The implication is to Indonesian learning. The data of the research is profeminism and contrafeminism in novel Cinta Suci Zahrana created by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. The method that used to collect the data is read and takes notes. The technique to collect the data of the research are (1) read and comprehend the phenomenon of feminism (2) signing part of novel that show profeminism phenomenon and contrafeminism in novel by Habiburrahman El Shirazy, Cinta Suci Zahrana; (3) researcher include and collect the data into research format. Researcher invented that profeminism characters are Zahrana, Lina, Hasan, Orangtua Zahrana, Pak Munajat (Zahranas’ father), Nuriyah (Zahranas’ mother), if we looked in, there is prasangka gender that want to treat woman best, but in the other hand, they still caged the woman in the “gold cage”. And the characters of contrafenimism are Mr. Sukarman, Mr. Didik, and the person who send terror SMS. They think that they can make woman falling in love by money and power. The imlpication in Indonesian learning is to improve reading literature ability in learning Indonesian.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the relationship between the ability in comprehending the short story and the ability in writing the drama manuscript for the VIII grade’s student at , junior high school, nine, Sijunjung. The type of this research is quantitative research using descriptive and the statistic correlation methods. Population and sample in this research is the student of the VIII grade at junior high school ,nine, Sijunjung. The population in this research is 34 students who are registered in academic year of 2012/2013. This population involves two class which the population is sample because the population is less than 100 students.  The result of research shows that the ability of student in comprehending the short story highly assists them in writing the drama manuscript. Furthermore, using the statistic correlation method, it shows that relationship between the student ability in understanding the short story and the student ability in writing the drama manuscript is significant on the degree of freedom, n-2, and it is significant at 95 % of confident level since 6.41 of t-statistic value is greater than 1.70 of t-table value.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to describe the effectiveness of using song media in poetry writing skill for IX1 SMP N 5 Lubuk Basung students. The data of this study were from the result of poetry writing skill pre-test and post-test by using song media in IX1 SMP N 5 Lubuk Basung. Based on the result of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that (1) poetry writing skill of IX1 SMP N 5 Lubuk Basung students without using song media with average 58,33, and (2) poetry writing skill of IX1 SMP N 5 Lubuk Basung students by using song media with average 72,26.
