Abstract

The purpose of this study were to describe the conservative and progressive spiritualism in novel Bilangan Fu by Ayu Utami. The type of this study was the qualitative study by using descriptive method. The data of this study were the quote of sentences that had the conservative spiritualism behavior and progressive spiritualism that searched through the main intrinsic which were: characteristics, setting, and allure. The resources of data in this study in novel Bilangan Fu by Ayu Utami. The results of this were: (1) the characteristics, setting, and allure in novel Bilangan Fu, (2) the consertive spiritualism behavior in novel Bilangan Fu, and (3) the progressive spiritualism behavior in novel Bilangan Fu.

Abstract

This article was written to determine acquisition of semantic olds 0;0-0;2 to word class noun, verbs, and adjectives. This research method is descriptive method. Research findings are; firts, child has mastered noun 121 words, consisting of noun limb, noun of objects arround, noun of fruits, noun of animal, noun of greeting, and noun of substance secreted human.second, childs has mastered 35 words of verb, consisting of action verbs, process verb, and state verbs. Third, child has mastered 50 words of adjectives, consisting of trait adjectives, size, feeling, time, distance,senses, form, and colour.

Abstract

This article was written that has purpose to describe and analyze the improving of rewriting skill of fairytale by using CIRC technique. Subject of this research is students at class VII.D at SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Emas, Tanah Datar regency which consists at 20 students. Based on the research finding of rewriting fairytales skill by using CIRC technique of student at class VII.D at SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Emas, Tanah Datar Regency can be concludd to some points. First the process of teaching rewriting faiytale by using CIRC technique is going better. Second the implementation of CIRC technique in two cycles (fourth time meeting) can improve  students skill in rewriting of fairytale about 71,8%  in cycle 1 and then it is increasing in cycle II become 82,88%.

Abstract

The purpose of this article was to describe the gender diffraction in novel La Grande Borne by Nh. Dini, evaluated from five aspects, (a) marginalization, (b) subordination, (c) stereotype, (d) violence, and (e) double work load. The data of this study was the sentences that refer to the gender diffraction.. The analyze technics were (1) describe the data, (2) analyze the data that refer to gender, (3) lnterpretated the unfair in gender, and (4) conclusion. The results of this study could be concluded that the women main character get the unfair gender. The unfairy of gender that had happened was the gender (a) marginalization, (b) woman subordination, (c) the woman stereotype, (d) the women violence,(e)double work load.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the educational character values which are consist of: (1) religious value, (2) honesty value, (3) tolerance value, (4) hard working value, (5) creativity value, (6) independent value, (7) curiousity value, (8) friendship/communicative value, (9) peacefully value, (10) fond of reading value, (11) social value, (12) responsibility value of educational character in Nazar-Nazar Jiwa novel written by Budi Sulistyo En-Nafi’. The research method is qualitative with descriptive methode. The collection of data use reading, comprehending novel as whole and making note methode which are related to educational character value. The result of this research is educational character value in Nazar-Nazar Jiwa novel written by Budi Sulistyo En-Nafi’.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of knowledge to the ability to write effective sentences formal letter eighth grade students of SMP N 1 Pariangan. This research is quantitatively using correlation. The population was eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 registered Pariangan school year 2012/2013 with a number of 108 people scattered in five classes. The research sample amounted to 25 people who were taken from 25% of the population. Because the subject of research of more than 100 students, appropriate sampling technique that is proportional random sampling technique. Proportional random sampling sampling in proportion to the number of students per class. . The results showed that there was an effective contribution to the knowledge of the sentence formal letter writing skills by 6.7%, while the rest is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

The purpose of this study the social problem, the causes of social problems, and other forms of self-acceptance to the problems faced by characters in the novel RembulanTenggelam di Wajahmu byTereLiye. The data of this study are the sentences, either in the form of dialogue, monologue, or narrative-related social problems contained in the novel RembulanTenggelam di Wajahmu by TereLiye. Sources of data in this study is novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu by TereLiye. The study's findings are: First, the social problems include crime of violence in the form of violence against children, crimes against women, family disorganization, delinkuensi children, gambling, alcoholism, prostitution, and fights. Second, the causes of social issues: family disorganization, lack of public awareness, and adolescent delinquency. Third, self-acceptance prominent social issues in accordance with the problem at hand.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the code mixing of Indonesian language teachers’ utterance while teaching learning process. The type of the research is qualitative, which use descriptive method. Furthermore, the data of the research is the Indonesian language teachers’ utterance. It contains the code mixing. The result of the research shows that the dominant code mixing is happen to the teacher while teaching learning process. The aim is to prove the teachers’ position or teachers’ intelegency. So that, code mixing that did by Indonesian language teacher in Junior High School 20 Padang, is the negative code mixing (not good).

Abstract

The purpose of this study were (1) to describe the morality worth in novel Kasidah-kasidah Cinta by Muhammad Muhyidin that corresponded by conscience, (2) to describe morality worth in novel Kasidah-kasidah Cinta by Muhammad Muhyidin that corresponded by endurance, (3) to deseribe the Kasidah-kasidah Cinta by Muhammad Muhyidin that corresponded by rights and responsibility, and (4) to describe the morality worth Kasidah-kasidah Cinta by Muhammad Muhyidin that corresponded by norm and worth. The results of this study were the morality worth in novel Kasidah-kasidah Cinta by Muhammad Muhyidin were the figure that have conscience, endurance, rights and responsibility, an norm and worth.

Abstract

This was a descriptive qualitative research which was aimed to describe the cultural values of Minangkabau in the Negeri 5 Menara novel by Ahmad Fuadi. The sources of data of this research were written data of Negeri 5 Menara novel itself. The findings of this research showed that there were 145 data of cultural values of Minangkabau in this novel which consist of 39 data related to the value of human relationship with the Creator, 41 data related to the value of human relationships with others, 28 data related to the value of fostering unity, and 30 data related to the value of consensus and agreement.
