Abstract

This study discusses the communication strategy carried out by the community in the inheritance of paintings related to the community's communication strategy in passing down paintings, understanding how senior painters pass down safe village paintings and find ways in the process of inheriting paintings. This research uses a qualitative method using ethnographic studies. Data collection is done by interview, collection and internet. The results of this study are the Jelekong Society bequeathed a legacy from generation to generation to protect sustainable life, bequeathed painting techniques to the younger generation, increase the interest of the younger generation in passing down painting and know how the obstacles that occur in the process of inheritance of painting in the jelekong village.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is analyzing tourism potential and development strategic as a tourism village in Sumbersalak Village, Jember Regency. This research based on quantitative and qualitative method. Quantitive data based on from observations and interview with questionaires besides, the supporting data was from library resources.Based on SWOT analysis result found the internal factors and external factor. The internal factors consist of (1) strength: beautiful natural resources and products from the village people, (2) weaknesess: Sumbersalak village need more development about human resources and infastucture, external factors (1) opportunity: the uniqueness of natural resources and people culture, (2) threat: competition of with other village in the development of rural tourism. Based on SWOT analysis obtained the development strategy for Sumbersalak village is using WO strategy. This strategy need to minimize most of the threat that they have and getting the big opportunity become good management of rural tourism

Abstract

The most effective communication media is language. However, not all uses of language can produce effective communication. Effective communication can only be done when there is an understanding between the communicator and the communicant. This means that language understanding between communicators and communicants is a demand in effective communication (Kemendikbud, 2013). In such languages it is necessary to use effective sentences. Therefore, in effective communication effective sentences. In other words, effective communication can only be achieved by using effective sentences. In this paper explained about communication, effective communication, and effective sentences in Indonesian.

Abstract

Fairy tale is one of the communication media to convey messages through stories so that they are easily understood by children. This research discusses the Dongeng Corona Series 2 by "Clean and Healthy Lifestyle Habits" which the duration of this video is 7 minutes 25 seconds can be accessed at YouTube channel in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuxhgFw8648.  This study aims to discuss the meaning of exemplary and messages contained in the Dongeng Corona Series 2, where this fairy tale was created as a form of concern for the Central Java Human Initiative and Kak Kempho's Picture Story Studio in fighting Covid 19 by providing education to children through fairy tales. This research method uses semiotic analysis for picture messages and in-depth interviews with Kak Kempho to explore further data through zoom meetings. The research findings show that the role of the storyteller as a communicator as a determining factor for messages conveyed in fairy tales will be well received by communican. Some of these defining conditions are that the storyteller knowledge and the storyteller has a way to tell about a theme more easily for both children and parents to understand. Fairy tales also help people to explain those that are difficult to explain. The hope is that fairy tales can help people carry out a mental revolution from an early age.

Abstract

This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, by observing / observing related mainstream Media roles in publishing Halal food products. Refer to the Law (UU) Number 33 year 2014 on the Halal Product Guarantee (JPH), which will be effective 17 October 2019, then food products, beverages, and other products that are circulating and traded in the region of Indonesia must be certified Halal. Halal products are products (food, beverages, etc.) that are processed and produced halal. The same is the case with materials and the process should also be halal. Halal Certificate In fact protects Muslim consumers against unkosher products and beverages, provides a sense of security and comfort to consume them, because there is no doubt that the product is indicative of the things that are haraam According to Islamic law. Although the validity period has lived a few more months, but the reverb enforcement of the law No. 33/2014, not yet loud heard in the community. Hence, the authors are interested in researching how much mainstream media roles (mainstream media, especially newspapers and television) are participating in publishing halal product guarantees, in the announcement. From the author's research, apparently mainstream media has not contributed much in the community to realize the production and also consume halal products. Although some food producers, drinks and beauty equipment, have been conducting socialization activities through advertising in the media, especially on television, by listing the halal logo from LPPOM-MUI, in the ad packaging that served.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the representation of human nature is depicted in Angry Birds The Movie. The method uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. The focus of this research is visual analysis, namely on shapes, colors and gestures. Data analysis used Roland S. Barthes' semiotics to see two levels of meaning, denotative meaning and connotative meaning. The results showed that there is a form of denotation and connotation meaning, representing human nature in each of the main characters in The Angry Birds Movie, starting from Red depicted in red, Chuck in yellow, Bomb in black, Matilda in white and Terence in red. old, these characters have a concept of good visual communication in character creation, both in terms of physical appearance, color, and character.

Abstract

This research focuses on the Study of Literacy Culture for Rural Millennial Communities in the knowledge of using simple application technology, YouTube and Google Content Censorship Filters. The Indonesian nation has a low literacy level, this is because the culture of reading and writing has not become part of the daily life of our society. YouTube is one of the most famous video sharing sites in the world. Availability of services on YouTube social media to access and obtain video data from YouTube. can be used in making website-based applications in the form of video content filters on YouTube, especially educational content aimed at learning. Jember Regency is one of the regencies in East Java which has people who still do not understand the ability to use technology intelligently and effectively. The danger will slowly emerge from the use of internet technology which is currently considered normal, in the future if there is no adult understanding, namely parents in rural millennial communities who are currently starting to be literate in information technology. As explained in the publication related to the welfare of the people of the Ajaember Regency in 2019 in the field of education, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that not all residents of Jember can experience or receive education. Therefore, it is important to have a smart awareness in literacy in society as a material and effort that balances the progress development of information technology

Abstract

Living together peacefully in a different society is not easy. Adherents of minority Muslims and majority Hindus in Karangasem Bali is a clear proof. They are able to work together to advance the region without meaningful conflict. Even though in Lampung Province there is still frequent friction between two religious adherents. An interesting problem is; how is the communication between these two elements of society and how to solve if there are problems that arise. The theory used is interpresonal communication by taking a role theory model. The method used is descriptive qualitative while the location stabilizes is At-Taqwiin Islamic Boarding School in Karangasem Regency, Bali. The result is that the community is accustomed to working in social, economic, political to social matters, while many religious issues are left to the kiai and religious teachers in the pesantren. The kiai has laid the foundation of harmonious communication and if there is a problem, the kiai always helps solve it.

Abstract

The health of pregnant women, infants and toddlers are one of the most influential factors in the welfare of society in Indonesia, especially in rural areas. Currently, one of the health problems in rural areas that is becoming a significant concern is stunting. In reducing this problem, communicators are needed to convey the information related to children's height is shorter than their age to villagers with babies, toddlers, and pregnant women. The village midwives are the communicators who have an essential role in providing information services to the villagers. They use persuasion techniques to increase the quality and quantity of the delivered message. This research was conducted at the Polindes in Baru Village, Maro Sebo District, Muaro Jambi Regency. Through qualitative research, the researcher describes two health communication persuasion techniques used by village midwives. First, the intensification tactic is through the repetition of messages about nutritious food for infants and toddlers to avoid and reduce stunting. This tactic is conducted through counselling activities to the villagers' homes during Covid-19. Second, the omission tactic is through the delivery of subtle messages using the local language with the aim that critical messages can cover subtle messages through spoken words. The village midwife's health communication process obstacle is that health workers do not play their role as communicators in conveying information about stunting.

Abstract

Grace Natalie Lousia is a chair of PSI . In winning the 2019 general election, strategies are needed, one of which is a campaign strategy through social media. The purpose of this research is to find out whether the campaign carried out by Grace Natalie on Instagram social media is successful if viewed from the literacy ability of her Instagram media content on Communication Studies students at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The theory of this research is the theory of Media Literacy. The type of this research is quantitative with a population of 121 and a total sample of 93 Communication Studies students at the Universitas Negeri Jakarta based on the calculation of the Yamane formula. Researchers used a questionnaire instrument in gathering data for this study. The results of this research conclude that the level of media content literacy for Grace Natalie's campaign content on social media Instagram is quite good in society. The better the level of media literacy in Grace Natalie's campaign content, the higher the level of effective use of social media to serve as a campaign venue.
