Abstract

This research was motivated by the fact that some children aged 4–5 years at PAUD An-Naba still experienced difficulties in gross motor development, such as jumping, throwing a ball accurately, and maintaining balance. The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of colorful ball games in learning activities and to analyze the gross motor development of children after the activity. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with subjects consisting of children aged 4–5 years at PAUD An-Naba. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles & Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the implementation of colorful ball games was carried out through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. Children were enthusiastic and motivated to participate because the colorful balls attracted their attention. The gross motor development of children improved in terms of strength, balance, and coordination after the activities. This study concludes that colorful ball games are effective as a fun, low-cost, and easily applicable learning strategy to stimulate gross motor development in early childhood.

Abstract

The IPAS (Natural Sciences and Social Studies) learning process for fifth grade students at MI Ma'arif Sambiroto still uses lecture methods and conventional learning media such as whiteboards, which results in a lack of interaction and active participation from students. This makes the learning atmosphere feel monotonous and students tend to get bored quickly, resulting in a less than optimal understanding of the material. This study aims to compare the use of PowerPoint and Prezi presentation media on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in IPAS. This study uses a quantitative research design with a quasi-experimental type and a nonequivalent control group design model. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires, which were then analyzed using percentage analysis and One-Way Anova. The results showed that the use of PowerPoint media obtained 98% data, which was classified as good, while Prezi obtained 92% data, which was also classified as good. The learning outcomes of students who used PowerPoint were very high, with 91.7% data, and students who used Prezi obtained 91.4% learning outcomes. The One-Way ANOVA statistical test shows a significant difference between the two media in terms of IPAS learning outcomes, with a calculated F value of 125.364 for PowerPoint and 180.134 for Prezi. Based on these results, it can be concluded that although both media improve student learning outcomes, the use of PowerPoint has a higher value than Prezi in improving IPAS learning outcomes. Both media have a significant effect on IPAS learning outcomes.

Abstract

Empiricism is a technique or approach that emphasizes experience, especially through the senses or sensory experiences that aim to form skills in memorizing and pronouncing Arabic vocabulary automatically through consistent repetition. In repetition through practice (direct experience) can also aim to strengthen memory and form habits. In the context of drilling, continuous repetition of vocabulary helps to create strong associations between sound, meaning, and writing, which is a form of reinforcement in learning. This drilling method is applied to practice the pronunciation of Arabic vocabulary so that it can help achieve good oral and written skills. For example, repeating new words until you get used to hearing and saying them. Implementation of the approach using the drilling method in vocabulary learning is very influential for pronunciation and memorization of Arabic words systematically so that it can form and strengthen the correct pronunciation response. This research is a descriptive qualitative research using data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation and data analysis with an interactive model, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions, as well as using data validity in the form of triangulation. The expected results of this method indicate that the implementation of empiricism using the drilling method for Arabic vocabulary pronunciation and memorization has improved. This is evident in the increase in Arabic vocabulary during Arabic language learning. However, using the drilling method also has advantages and disadvantages. Among the advantages of using the drilling method are that it makes it easier for students to pronounce and memorize vocabulary, makes it easier to remember, and fosters student enthusiasm. Disadvantages include stress due to weak memorization and boredom due to repeated vocabulary.
