Abstract

The strength of the building foundation is strongly influenced by the type of soil layer that used as a foundation laying place. The higher the building to be built, the stronger the foundation to be made. This research was conducted to identify the bedrock of the existing soil layer in Tarakan City by using a boost converter-based resistivity meter with aim to minimize the impact of building damage caused by soil structure. Boost converter is a step-up DC-DC converter. Boost converter is able to produce an output voltage value greater than the input voltage without the need of transformer. The boost converter design is started by determining parameter based on the needs of resistivity meter. Resistivity data acquisition has been conducted at several points in Universitas Borneo Tarakan by using the Schlumberger configuration. Data processing has been done by using a matching curve. The results of the interpretation of the processing of geoelectric data are 4 soil layers with a depth of 12 meters. In the geoelectric estimation investigation area has a type of resistance between 6.08 -169.79 Ohm-meters. The layer that is expected to act as a bedrock is sand at a depth of 13.81 meters and sandstone sand at a depth of ± 8 meters, with these conditions, the construction of a foundation for the construction of lightweight buildings can already be built

Abstract

The Gunung Selatan Road is a road of secondary collector with the class of road is IIIB, has a width of 6.0 meters and a length of 4.109 km, has an important role in driving the economy and connecting sub-districts in the north and west with sub-districts in the central and eastern parts of the city of Tarakan. The use of this road is directed to serve the transportation of construction materials which generally have a load to overloading which has the potential to cause damage to the road. This study aims to assess the condition of road pavement, using the method of the Pavement Conditition Index (PCI). Observation areas along the road segment are divided into road segments or sample units of observation with a width of 6.0 meters and a length of 50 m, so that the size of each segment of 300 m 2 is obtained, with a total of 40 road sample units. The types of damage found at the time of observation include: alligator crack, bleeding, block cracking, corrugation, depression, edge cracking, longitudinal/transverse cracking, patching and utility cut patching, pothole, and weathering/raveling. The average assessment results show the road is in criteria is very good condition with a value of PCI = 71, but there is one observation that gives a criteria is poor, namely the sample unit at Sta. 1 + 350 to 1 + 400 with a PCI value of 29.5. This happened, at the time of observation the field condition was damaged and was being repaired.

Abstract

One of the steps that taken by the Government of Tarakan City in supporting the development of the city is by the way of developing transportation of infrastructure in the form of a road network that aims to provide accessibility, for making it easier for people to do the movement. This study aims to find out the sale value of land for connection with the accessibility of the road and to know the accessibility factor of the road that has the most influence on the sale value of land in the city of Tarakan. Sampling was conducted on three streets namely, Yos Sudarso road, Mulawarman road, and Sudirman road as the location of this research. From the data that obtained were analyzed by using statistical analysis that using by multiple regression. For this analysis shows that the results of 70.6% of the variable sale value of land can be explained by the intensity variable of city transportation. The most influential accessibility factor of the sale value of land is the intensity of city transportation, which every addition of public transportation 8 vehicle / hour will increase the sale value of land amounted to Rp. 394,527.40 per m².

Abstract

Indonesia as the island nation with territorial waters is one of the modes of transportation. For this condition, most of activities are conducted in marine, such as logistics distribution. The movement of logistics distribution will result in a movement pattern of the logistic. Determination of the optimal pattern of logistics movement network can support the smooth distribution system. Determination of logistic network patterns is done by clustering using Fuzzy C-means, clustering aims to get island groups in adjacent locations. The clustering process using Fuzzy C-Means obtained that the number of clusters as many as 3 clusters showed better results compared to the number of clusters 4 and 5.

Abstract

The south Kalimantan Province has various soil characteristic, the difference of ground water level included . Experimental modeling of foot plate foundations in various ground water level is too difficult to be performed. There were so many variables that need to be evaluated in the modeling. The numerical model was based on finite element method such in Abaqus allowed the modeling of foot plate foundations with the various of ground water level. This study modeled the foot plate foundation structure where located on various ground water level by giving variations of the effect of water level to the elevation of the foundation. Water level variations are determined successively below the foundation elevation, the same as the foundation elevation and above the foundation elevation. The analysis performed is static structure analysis with idealization of 2D shell idealization. The result of the research showed that the ground water level effect the stress and deformation of soil closed to foundation elevation. The stress had been evaluated at the base of the foundation for each ground water level difference correspondently 16,53 MPa, 9.34 MPa and 3.59 MPa. The lowest stresses was occured in ground water elevation above the foundation elevation (78.28%).

Abstract

The existence of a tendency of violations that are often done by contractors requires an effort to increase labor inspection. With the existence of an appropriate pattern of labor inspection by government employee of labor inspector in construction service sector then every execution of a work can be executed according to rule so that it can run well and according to what we expected. The objectives of this research was to know the effect of labor inspection to the safety of construction services in the Office of Manpower and Transmigration of North Kalimantan Province. Data collection technique used was questionnaires. The data collected in this research consisted of primary and secondary data, This resesearch was done through questionnaire technique. The samples in this study were 20 respondents from Office of Manpower and Transmigration of North Kalimantan Province in the field of labor inspection. Data obtained was scored into Likert method and then analyzed by SPSS program. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between Labor Inspection with Work Safety, which can be explained in the form of linear regression equation i.e.: Y = 32.128 + 0.250 X, with the coefficient of determination (R 2 ) was 0.173 and coefisient of correlation (r)was 0.42.

Abstract

The Embung Bengawan Project in Tarakan City has several jobs requiring heavy equipment including mechanical soil removal activities. Activity of mechanical soil movement is a series in work of loading and transportation equipment. In order to achieve optimal mechanical soil removal targets, it is necessary to know the performance of the machine during the mechanical soil removal process. The optimization of production is the way to obtain production that is in accordance with optimal conditions of mechanical devices. This paper discusses the optimization of dump truck queue time and the number of dump trucks. Performance calculation tool using the method of production capacity of the tool, and calculate the optimal queue using the Queue Model method. Calculation using queuing model method obtained by result of time required by 3 excavator unit and with combined amount of dump truck will give result of cost equal to Rp 48,097,711 / day, and dump truck waiting time in queue to 1 minute. Then the optimal time is obtained by operating 3 units of excavators with a cost difference of Rp 3,572,826 / day from the real condition of the field that operates 2 excavator units

Abstract

Radin Inten II Airport is a national flight in Lampung Province. In this study using the technical analysis stated preference which is the approach by conveying the choice statement in the form of hypotheses to be assessed by the respondent. By using these techniques the researcher can fully control the hypothesized factors. To determine utility function for model forecasting in fulfilling request of traveler is used regression analysis with SPSS program. The analysis results obtained that the passengers of the dominant airport in the selection of modes of cost attributes than on other attributes. From the result of regression analysis, the influence of independent variable to the highest dependent variable is when the five attributes are used together with the R square value of 8.8%. The relationship between cost, time, headway, time acces and service with the selection of modes, the provision that states whether or not there is a decision. The significance of α = 0.05 with chi-square. And the result of Crame's V test average of 0.298 is around the middle, then the relationship is moderate enough.

Abstract

Double reinforcement beam design, increasing the compressive reinforcement can increase the flexural capacity moment and ductility of concrete beams. This helps planners to improve flexural capacity moment with minimal dimensions, that are still acceptable in terms of aesthetics. The purpose of this study is to know how much influence the increasing compressive reinforcement can increase the flexural capacity moment and ductility of concrete beams. Experimental research with beam specimens 20x20x60 cm, 2D16 tensile reinforcement, fc’ 25 mpa and fy 320 mpa. With a ratio of compressive reinforcement to tensile reinforcement of 0.14; 0.25 and 0.59. Flexural strength testing uses flexible loading with a roll-pined joint. The process of load reading is yield phase until ultimate phase. The results of the analysis show an uses of increasing compressive reinforcement can increase the moment of flexural capacity and ductility. The addition of compressive reinforcement reached 25% from tensile reinforcement, can increase the moment of bending capacity by 4.47%, but uses compressive reinforcement reached 50% of tensile reinforcement, only increasing the bending moment capacity of 1.43%. For ductility, uses compressive reinforcement reaches 25% from tensile reinforcement, can increase ductility by 19.73% and an increase of 26.17% by adding compressive reinforcement up to 50% of tensile reinforcement. From these results it appears that the more improvements added, the more the ductility increases and the less the moment the flexural capacity increases.

Abstract

Face fender structure jetty No.1 PT. Pertamina RU V is a Dutch building construction with a protective face fender structure of ulin wood material. The problem faced is the wood protective material ulin fragile, easily broken and can damage the hull when leaning. This study aims to provide a description of the specification of solid rubber fender material and its fitting method as a protective fender jetty structure No.1 PT. Pertamina RU V Balikpapan. The research method used is the application research method with case study approach handling the problem of damage to the protective material of the face fender jetty structure. The result of the research shows the material specification which suitable and suitable to be used as the substitute for the protective wood of face fender structure is the specification of solid rubber fender type V because it has high elasticity and elongation, impact and vibration reduction, not easily broken, not easy to break, according to SNI 06-3568-2006 standard, MOT standard (Japan) and according to EAU standard 1990 (Germany). The result of this research is succes story to overcome the problems in Pertamina RU V which can be replicated in Pertamina Other work units and outside Pertamina environment experiencing similar problems.
