Abstract

North Kalimantan is one of the regions in Indonesia which is prone to hydrometeorological disasters. The purpose of this study was to determine the rainfall analysis of the North Kalimantan Region as a basis in finding rainfall levels in areas that do not have climatological stations, knowing the rainfall maps of the North Kalimantan Region and knowing the conditions of high rainfall causing flood prone in the North Kalimantan region. Rainfall data collection locations are climatology stations Tanjung Harapan, Juwata, Tuvai Semaring, Kalimarau and R.A. Bessing. Rainfall data is taken from OGIMET for 10 years. The result of rainfall analysis is the average monthly rainfall, which is from January to December. The method used to determine the monthly rainfall value in the North Kalimantan region is the Spatial Analyst Interpolation -Kriging method. The results are in the form of monthly rainfall maps, from January to December. Monthly rainfall map is a source of information on the value of rainfall in the region in North Kalimantan. Maximum rainfall is found in the areas of Tanjung Selor and Tarakan, namely January 313,368 mm, May 366,238 mm, July 358,868 mm and December 324,513 mm. Map of monthly rainfall in January, May, July and December is a parameter to see the condition of high rainfall causing hydrometeorological disasters. Through this research it is expected to anticipate the risk of disasters caused by the weather.

Abstract

Tarakan City is one city that is often flooded during the rainy season it is in because of the narrow drainage system and due to the accumulation of garbage other than one of the factors that affect flooding is tidal. For the central Tarakan Region, specifically in the region of Karang Anyar Central Tarakan that is Seroja , Kenanga and mawar street flood that occurred due to the drainage system which is not good. And population growth is rapidly increasing and the growth of residential construction and industry as well as other supporting facilities are not balanced with the development of the drainage system. Increase the number of discharges that come out due to the increase of housing and other buildings are often already do not meet the capacity of its maximum capacity on existing drainage channels. The research is conducted by doing a survey in the field to obtain primary data and secondary data which will then be processed using the method ISO No. 03- 2459-2002 about general and technical requirments infiltration wells, this standard is a revision of ISO No. 03-3459-2991. The result of the field trial showed that the infiltration rate as measured by the single ring infiltrometeron seroja street at 6cm/hour, on kenanga street by 6 cm/hour, and mawar street by 9cm/hour. Each infiltration wells are planned at each house is capable of reducing flood discharge as much as 0.00254m3/sec at seroja street, kenanga street 0.00282 m3/sec and 0.0034m3/sec on mawar street. Under the assumption 70 % of homes in the study area using infiltration wells.

Abstract

Jl. Yos Sudarso is one of the centers of movement in Tarakan or a business zone. Jl. Yos Sudarso has experienced an increase in road load and a decrease in the level of road services which will eventually cause traffic problems, namely the effectiveness of reduced traffic performance. To find out the analysis of traffic performance due to the arrangement of the vehicle movement system on Yos Sudarso Tarakan road, traffic surveys are carried out, such as traffic volume, traffic speed, road capacity, and degree of saturation. After the road performance analysis, the characteristics and conditions of the road were obtained, the average total volume was 1399.92 pcu / hour, the average degree of saturation on the Yos Sudarso road in the direction of Kusuma Bangsa was 0.53, while the direction of Mulawarman was 0,55. Thus the average performance along Yos Sudarso road includes the C service level. By looking at these conditions it is necessary to increase the clear traffic flow regulation system such as traffic signal so that it can reduce the congestion that occurs on these roads. The construction of the coastal road frontage line and the construction of the access road network will provide benefits in the form of a road network in the western part of Tarakan city, reducing traffic density points.

Abstract

Bridge damage often occurs, as a result of damage to the bridge causing financial aspects losses and can also cause fatalities. The causes of the damage various factor, one of which is the bridge structure experiencing fatigue. This fatigue caused the strength of the structure of the bridge to decrease. Bridge damage due to a decrease in the strength of this bridge structure can impact the bridge to collapse. To minimize bridge damage due to a decrease in the strength of the structure of the bridge there is a need for bridge maintenance and to make it easier in terms of maintenance it is necessary to know the pattern of collapse of the existing bridge. In the analysis of this collapse pattern, a waren type steel continous bridge will be modeled with a span length of 120 meters. This analysis is carried out by giving a static vertical load at a reference point on the bridge frame, where the load is increased by multiplying until the structure is demage. The results of the study show that in the waren type continuous steel truss bridge failure occurs at the final portal diagonal element in the 2 middle positions. Based on FEMA 356 displacement target, the level of structural performance shows the bridge model under IO conditions and based on SNI 2833-2008, the actual ductility that occurs has met the requirements.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the performance on a single weave that occurred on Jl.Niaga I - Jl. Yos Sudarso, Tarakan City. The performance is capacity, degree of saturation, speed, and travel time. With these performance parameters serve as based of planning in transportation infrastructure. The results of this study are also expected to provide recommendations to users, planners and policy makers in an effort to solve traffic problems, especially to reduce the delay that occurs in a single wave that occurred on Jl Niaga I-Jl. Yos Sudarso Kota Tarakan.

Abstract

The rumble strips phenomena in Indonesia aims to decrease speed and vibration effect for vehicles. Actually, the use of rumble strips in the Bengkalis island is not optimal, as does not reduce the speed of vehicles and always ignore the effect of the trill inflicted in the rumble strips for reasons of getting high speed and the less effect shakes posed. The purpose of this research is to find the shockwave on the road by using Greenshields method. Base on the result of this research, shockwave value as big as -30,299 km/h indicated the increase of vehicles in the rumble strips

Abstract

The new Yogyakarta International Airport began operations with an airport area of 645.63 hectares with a capacity of 14 million passengers a year. Access to the Yogyakarta international airport is distributed to 4 routes to the airport at Wates national road, Karangnongko road, the Southern Cross Road, Daendels road which is using the railroad mode. This study uses revealed preference analysis which is the approach by conveying a fact choice statement to be given an assessment by the respondent. The sample collection is assumed by the peak passenger of the Adisucipto airport, because the Yogyakarta International Airport is recently opened. It is expected to be able to represent demand predictions at the Yogyakarta International airport in the future. The results of the questionnaire were then processed by using statistical analysis to determine the factors that influence the selection of transportation modes to and from the airport. In research, the factors that influence mode choice are travel costs, travel time, travel distance, and generalized costs. The results illustrate that prospective air transport users are more dominant in choosing travel cost attributes compared to other attributes that influence. With the coefficient of determination is 0.528 and the results of data analysis for the selection of mode of transportation using private vehicles is 57% and public transportation is 43%..

Abstract

Infrastructure contruction has expanded in Penajam Paser Utara brought the effect of wall materials. Nowdays, Building construction with light brick preferably as an alternative than red brick it self. The aim of this research is to conduct SWOT Analysis between light brick and red brick in construction build in Penajam Paser Utara. According to question form that was spread in to local government has shown the results, The red brick sited in forth coordinate (quadrant) compare with light brick in second quadrant. Abstract

Tarakan City experiences problems with standing water during the rainy season, especially in the west Tarakan sub-district which is the center of Tarakan. This puddle not only submerged settlements and offices but also shops and access roads that caused considerable economic losses. An evaluation was carried out by using the Storm Water Management Model (SWMM). SWMM is a rainfall-runoff simulation model used for simulating the quantity and quality of surface runoff from urban areas. Based on the evaluation using SWMM software, the drainage system in Tarakan, especially in Jalan Mulwarman has several inundated channels, namely channels 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14. This is influenced by the dimensions of the drainage channel that cannot accommodate existing water runoff and sediment thickness that covers the drainage channels so that the capacity is reduced, if it rains it will cause puddles at several points in Tarakan City. In order to deal with these puddles, it is necessary to change the dimensions of the channel and routinely dredge sediments that cover the drainage channels.

Abstract

Use of wood construction in Indonesia is decrease significant than concrete and steel. While it is, government by National Standardization Corporation (BSN) had been published Indonesian National Standard about Wood Construction Design Spesification with code SNI 7973:2013. This code absolutly influential the old code which is PKKNI 1961. SNI 7973:2013 is regulate about Load esistance Factor Design (LRFD) and Allowable Stress Design (ASD), while PKKNI 1961 just use ASD method. In case SNI 7973:2013 have been use ASD, but it is different to PKKNI 1961. This research is would to find the different betwen SNI 7973:2013 and PKKNI 1961 to tension member with dimention 5/10, 6/12, 8/12 and 10/10. Result of research to tension member show that LRFD 100%, ASD 65,1% and PKKNI 111,4%.
