Abstract

The concept of ergonomics in the work environment is an important to be applied in an industry. The application of ergonomics is expected to create a safe, healthy and comfortable work environment so that work becomes more productive and efficient and there is a guarantee of work quality. Based on the problems that occur, a method is needed to overcome fluctuations in the amount of production, one of the ways is by using fuzzy logic. The conclusion of this paper is the analysis and processing of data carried out using the Sugeno method, both software and manual by entering the temperature input variable of 31o C, lighting of 500 lux and noise 85 db, the results obtained for the amount of production in the next period of 531 in the manual calculation , while the software count is 487. Based on these results the number of manual calculations and Matlab software with fuzzy logic using the Sugeno method has a difference that is not far from the data received by 281. This means that the percentage of matching fuzzy logic processing with received data is 97.76%.

Abstract

The experience of sight is one in every of the essential sources of records for human beings. It is no exaggeration to say that the majority of human information comes from the sense of sight, while the rest comes from the other five senses. Therefore, it is understood that if a person experiences a sightrelated disruption, his activities will be very limited, because the information obtained is much less than typically visioned ones. Blind people typically use walking aids in the form of white canes or trained dogs to aid with balance and improve walking health and independence. The author will work out how the blind are more confident to navigate in a known setting by providing enough knowledge. To conquer these issues, an apparatus that can supplant and consummate the job of strolling sticks that made. The consequences of this investigation are as a gadget that can recognize objects utilizing an ultrasonic sensor that can peruse an article the extent that 2 meters as a separation and the ringer yields a sound yield.

Abstract

Different electrode materials give big influence on the machining process. Some electrode will eliminate workpiece efficiently but that give a high wear of electrode, the others electrode have a low wear but ability to eliminate materials of workpieces are very low. Taguchi Method is method in engineering to improves the process of different workpiece characteristics and can reduce the cost and resources to a minimum. In this study, the experimental design used is the experimental design of Taguchi with Orthogonal Array design, analysis Signal to Noise Ratio to determine the factors that affect the wear of electrodes, and analysis of variance. The results of the discussion on the analysis of the Taguchi experimental design method in Process Parameters Using EDM In Identifying Electrode Wear is obtained decisive steps orthogonal matrix, analysis of the characteristics of the proposed design smaller the better quality types to determine the value of SNR, determine the value of the effect of each replication in each of the factors that affect the wear of electrodes, Variance analysis performed to interpret the experimental data to determine the EDM process parameters electrodes Optimum wear.

Abstract

The use of human labor in measuring and cutting cables manually requires a long time plus the number of cables measured and cut in large quantities, it can take time and manpower so that the work is ineffective and cause losses. For this reason, this research was made a tool that can measure and cut cables automatically using the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Omron CP1E as its control system. In this automatic cable cutting tool the monitoring and input system uses HMI NB7W-TW00B. With this tool, it can measure cable lengths and directly cut them automatically so that it can save time and human labor in measuring and cutting the cable.

Abstract

Replica is an imitation of an object that is scaled down to a specified scale. Replica manufacturing can be done by layer manufacturing technology so that it is more efficient and gets products similar to the originals. At present, the information about the results of the experimental testing process by computers on replica 3D models is still very limited. It is important to know that the replica have the expected quality. This study was conducted to determine the replica strength of the Hino RN 285 bus chassis 1:19 scale with PLA and AISI 1020 material. The calculations included stresses and deflections that occurred on the replica bus chassis due to the load from the replica cabin of 25.506 N. The study was conducted using Solidworks 2018 application for static load simulation process and for knowing the maximum stress and deflection that occurred. The simulation results obtained a maximum strenght value of 9,628 MPa. Deflection occurs at the front overhang, wheel base, and rear overhang with a maximum value occurs at the rear overhang of 0.7696 mm and causes stress distribution on the chassis frame of the rear overhang at 2.407 MPa. The maximum stress of the test results has a value smaller than the yield stress of the material and the deflection that occurs is below the critical deflection range, so it can be concluded that the replica model of the bus chassis is safe.

Abstract

Abstract

Brass electroplating process has been analyzed on the steel surface for the thickness and hardness of the coating. The electroplating process was carried out on low carbon steel ST 37 by varying the time (10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes and 25 minutes), and the temperature of the solution (40 °C, 45 °C, 50 °C, and 55 °C). To determine the quality of the coating results were observed using a stereo microscope and Vicker hard test equipment to measure the thickness and hardness. The test results show that the increase in time and temperature is proportional to the thickness and hardness value obtained. The lowest average thickness and hardness value was 11,323 ?m 182.4 VHN at 40 °C with 10 minutes coloring time. While the highest average thickness and hardness values were 29.333 ?m and 218.8 VHN were obtained at a temperature of 55 °C for 25 minutes. The observations showed a significant increase in thickness and hardness values after 20 minutes. This shows that the higher the solution temperature, it will reduce the absorption of hydrogen into the sludge resulting in an increase in the surface hardness of the resulting layers due to more sediment attached to the cathode. The increase in time and temperature of the solution given is directly proportional to the thickness and hardness value produced on the metal surface.

Abstract

Abstract Counter sales transaction reports such as credit transactions, electricity tokens, data package vouchers, and others are very important for the counter owner to make a decision on adding stock of Non PPOB products or deposit balances for PPOB transactions. The problem is when the counter owner still uses conventional sales transaction records and has more than one location with different product selling prices based on sales locations. Therefore we need an information system to facilitate the management of sales transaction reports even though there are many branches with distant multilocation and multiproduct prices that differ from each sales location. To develop information systems using the waterfall method which consists of system requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. The system design uses Unified Modeling Language (UML) which consists of use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams and class diagrams because the system built is object oriented. The results of testing the system using the black box method obtained from the twelve functions that were tested 100% successfully run as expected. The results of the evaluation of the processing time of the daily transaction report in the conventional manner at three locations require 1 hour 30 minutes while using the information system only requires less than 1 minute.

Abstract

The increasing technology of the manufacturing industry now makes the industry competition, especially in the field of manufacturing increasingly stringent in developing products with accurate dimensions. The process of getting accurate and precise dimension results is very important in improving the quality of a product to be made. With the development of this technology, the manufacturing industry has begun to develop products with the method of adding materials known as rapid prototyping or layer manufacturing, one of which is technology using 3D printing machines. This research was carried out on a PRUSA 3D Printing FDM model with dimensions of 220 mm x 220 mm x 250 mm and using a nozzle measuring 0.4 mm. The material used is a PLA + filament with a diameter of 1.75 mm with variations in the nozzle temperature parameters (205 ° C, 215 ° C, 225 ° C), layer thickness 0.2, bed temperature 60 ° C, travel speed 100, printing speed 50 , infill type (Grid, Lines, Triangles, Tri Hexagon, Cubic, Cubic Subdivision, Octet, Quarter Qubic, Concentric, Zig Zag, Cross, Cross 3D, Gyroid) which will be determined in Ultimaker Cura 4.4.0 software, resulting in 39 printed sample. The results obtained after testing the highest tensile strength values are found in the 22nd test specimen that is 43.20 MPa with 215 nozzle temperature parameters and Infill Type Concentric, while the lowest tensile strength values are found in the 22nd test specimen which is 24.50 MPa with nozzle temperature parameters 205 ° C and Infill Type Cross.

Abstract

The Automotive Power Train Development Center (P3TO) POLMAN Bandung aims to develop utility vehicles for agricultural and plantation areas with a loading capacity of 750 kg. One of the studies focuses on the design and development of the transfer case transmission system, an additional unit in the transmission system for distributing power from the engine to the wheels and production machines through Power Take-Off (PTO). The purpose of this research is to produce a transfer case design that provides large power output, reliable, safe, and cheap. The engineering process is preceded by studying on existing construction then modifying and designing it to meet demands by applying the Pahl & Beitz methodology consisting of planning and clarifying tasks, making a list of demands, making basic concepts, designing transfer cases, and validating designs. The main evaluation criteria such as vehicle operations in all-terain, engine, gearbox, and vehicle speed were observed. The results were also validated using three methods, namely theoretical, KISSsoft software, and finite element simulation in solids work. This research produced a transfer case design of 1.8 rations with a size of 461 mm x 433 mm x 223 mm and a weight of 25 kg. All gear and shaft components are able to withstand the load that occurs in the transfer case due to operational, engine, and production machine tools.
