Abstract

This research aims to develop an interactive e-book that presents the history of Senapelan as an interesting and educative learning resource. The history of Senapelan, which is rich in culture and tradition, has great potential to become relevant teaching material in local history learning. This interactive e-book is designed by integrating multimedia elements, such as text, images, videos, and quizzes, to increase student involvement in the learning process. The methodology used includes requirements analysis, content planning, design, and user testing. The trial results showed that the interactive e-book was effective in increasing students' understanding of the history of Senapelan and sparking their interest in learning local history. Students report a more enjoyable and interactive learning experience, which contributes to increased motivation and engagement. This research concludes that interactive e-books not only function as an interesting learning resource, but also as a tool that supports teaching for teachers. Thus, it is hoped that the development of this interactive e-book can become a model for implementing more innovative and relevant history learning in the digital era.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Tapung Hulu sub-district, Kampar Regency. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between interaction and social cohesion among members of the Setia Hati Terate Brotherhood in Tapung District, Kampar Regency. This research applies a quantitative approach using validity and correlation tests. The sampling technique in this research was Simple Random Sampling using the Slovin formula which obtained a sample of 124 members. Data collection through questionnaires, observation and documentation. The findings of this research show that there is an interaction relationship with the social cohesion of PSHT members in Tapung Hulu District, where the majority of PSHT members are based on the identity of the first respondent in the 14-40 year age group with 91.9%, male gender 69.4% while female 30.6%, Islamic religion 74.2% while Christianity is 25.8%, black-jambon student belt level is 48%, while trainers are 29.0%, junior high school/vocational school education is 65.3%, and finally unmarried status is 92.7%, while married is 7.3%. The results of the relationship between interaction and social cohesion using SPSS Version 23 obtained a result of 0.000, which means the result is smaller than 0.05. This proves that the higher the social interaction, the higher the social cohesion that PSHT members will have.

Abstract

This study discusses in depth the dialectical relationship between journalism and historiography through a historical approach, while exploring how these two disciplines influence each other in the process of developing knowledge and national narratives. The phenomena studied show that journalism not only plays a role in recording actual events, but also in shaping the construction of a nation's history. Through qualitative research methods and comprehensive literature analysis, this study reveals the dynamics of interaction between journalism and historical writing in the Indonesian context. The findings in this study indicate three important points, namely: 1) the existence of epistemological similarities, where journalism and historiography have similar epistemological foundations, especially in terms of fact verification, investigative methods, and narrative presentation. Both are based on the principles of accuracy, objectivity (although not absolute), and source criticism; 2) the role of the press in the national struggle, where since the colonial era, the Indonesian press has not only been a medium of information, but also a tool for the struggle against colonialism.  Newspapers at that time, such as Medan Prijaji and Sin Po had become a vessel for the articulation of nationalism as well as victims of political repression by the Dutch colonial government; and 3) the post-1998 reform dilemma, where the press freedom achieved after the 1998 reform brought new challenges, including the commercialization of the media which often contradicts journalistic idealism. The dominance of market interests often obscures the function of the press as a watchdog and contemporary historian. This study also highlights the need to recontextualize the role of the press in modern historiography. Amidst the flood of information and disinformation, journalists are required not only to meet the principle of deadlines, but also to consider the socio-historical impact of their reporting. Thus, the press must carry out its function as a recorder and interpreter of history responsibly.

Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PjBL) is an effective approach to increasing student engagement and building critical and problem-solving skills. This article discusses the development of the PjBL model in learning Legal Philosophy applied to the order of village community life. Legal Philosophy in this context plays an important role in understanding the legal principles that regulate social life in village communities, including customary norms and positive law. Through the PjBL approach, students are empowered to identify and solve legal problems faced by village communities, and develop solutions based on relevant legal theories. This study shows that the application of PjBL can improve students' understanding of legal philosophy concepts, strengthen their analytical and collaborative skills, and contribute to empowering village communities in facing legal challenges at the local level. These findings are expected to be a reference for innovation in learning legal philosophy that is more contextual and applicable in rural areas.
