Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Pengaruh Manajerial Kepala Sekolah terhadap Kinerja Guru SD di Kecamatan Samatiga Kabupaten Aceh Barat, (2) Pengaruh Kedisiplinan guru terhadap Kinerja Guru SD di Kecamatan Samatiga Kabupaten Aceh Barat, (3) Pengaruh Motivasi Kerja terhadap Kinerja Guru SD di Kecamatan Samatiga Kabupaten Aceh Barat, dan (4) Pengaruh Manajerial Kepala Sekolah, Kedisiplinan guru dan Motivasi kerja terhadap Kinerja Guru SD di Kecamatan Samatiga Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, populasi 92 orang, subjek 92 orang, teknik simple random sampling dengan menggunakan teori penarikan sampel Sugiyono, teknik pengumpulan data kuesioner skala likert dan teknik pengolahan data regresi linier berganda. Temuan peneliti secara parsial diperoleh, (1) Melalui analisis regresi yang telah peneliti dilakukan diketahui bahwa manajerial kepala sekolah memberikan pengaruh yang positif terhadap kinerja guru dengan koefisien sebesar 0,003 atau 0,3% (dalam persentase). Hasil pengujian hipotesis menghasilkan nilai T hitung sebesar 2,673 lebih besar dari nilai T tabel 1,987. (2) Melalui analisis regresi linier yang sudah dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa disiplin memberikan pengaruh yang positif terhadap kinerja guru dengan koefisien sebesar 0,042 atau 4,2% (dalam persentase). Besaran koefisien ini paling tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan koefisien lainnya. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menghasilkan nilai T hitung sebesar 3,955 lebih besar dari nilai T tabel 1,987. (3) Melalui analisis regresi yang telah peneliti dilakukan diketahui bahwa motivasi memberikan pengaruh yang positif terhadap kinerja guru dengan koefisien sebesar 0,016 atau 1,6% (dalam persentase). Hasil pengujian hipotesis menghasilkan nilai T hitung sebesar 2,531 lebih besar dari nilai T tabel 1,987. (4) Melalui analisis regresi yang sudah peneliti lakukan diketahui bahwa manajerial kepala sekolah, disiplin dan motivasi memberikan pengaruh yang positif terhadap kinerja guru dengan nilai constant sebesar 84.019. Adapun pengujian hipotesis menghasilkan nilai F hitung sebesar 67,558 dan f tabel adalah 2,708. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil pengujian hipotesis X1, X2 dan X3 terhadap Y yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini dinyatakan di terima, artinya manajerial kepala sekolah, disiplin dan motivasi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja guru.

Abstract

This research discusses the history of the long journey of the Umayyad Dynasty. This research describes the process of establishment, development and progress, until the period of destruction of the Umayyad Dynasty. The Umayyad Dynasty was the first dynasty in Arabia that succeeded in expanding its territory, building its civilization, and spreading Islam throughout the world. This dynasty had an important role in the advancement of Islamic civilization. The Umayyad Dynasty succeeded in developing education, culture, military, government, economy, art, architecture and the extent of the territory that was successfully conquered. The methodology used in the historical research process of the Umayyad Dynasty is a content analysis approach. Content analysis is a research technique used to understand and analyze the content of documents or written materials, such as text, images, or audio. The results of the research provided information about the establishment of the Umayyad Dynasty. The Umayyad Dynasty's influential caliphs are described in the research results along with their policies, such as Mu'awiyah, Umar and Hisham. The success of the development and progress of Islamic civilization during the Umayyad Dynasty in various fields of life until its decline was also successfully revealed in this study.

Abstract

This research aims to explore harmony in diversity in Pematangsiantar City, a city in North Sumatra which is known for its ethnic, cultural and religious diversity. Using a qualitative approach, this study investigates the factors that contribute to the creation of social pluralism and harmonious intergroup relations in the city. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, participant observation, and documentation studies. Research findings reveal that religious tolerance, respect for cultural differences, and cooperation between communities are values that are deeply embedded in Pematangsiantar society. In addition, the role of formal and informal leaders, as well as local initiatives in facilitating dialogue and interaction between groups also contribute significantly to social harmony in this city. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of social pluralism and how it can be achieved in diverse societal contexts.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the progress of Minangkabau ulama in Tanah Deli, especially in the 20th century AD. This research method was carried out through four stages, namely data collection (heuristics), source examination (verification), interpretation (interpretation), and writing (historiography). carried out based on field research and library research. The research results show that the presence of the Minangkabau ethnic group in Tanah Deli in the 20th century AD was inseparable from the impact of the open door political economy which made Tanah Deli a large economic area in the East Sumatra region. The economic growth in Tanah Deli has been able to attract migrants from various regions, including the Minangkabau ethnic group, to come to Tanah Deli. These Minangkabau ethnic migrants have always been identified with the Muhammadiyah organization because they had previously been influenced by Muhammadiyah when they were still in their hometown. Then when they were in Tanah Deli they made Muhammadiyah a gathering place for Minangkabau migrants who had a modernist religious style. However, for certain reasons their existence did not receive full political support from the Malay Sultanate or the Dutch East Indies government. However, the Minangkabau ethnic group has colored the history of Tanah Deli, especially in the religious sector, which is marked by the emergence of many big-name scholars from the Minangkabau ethnic group, namely Bustami Ibrahim, Hamka, Mahyaruddin Salim, Joesoef Sou'yb, Mansyur Luthan, Saldin Saleh, Djamaluddin Ahmad , Anas Nurdin, and Firdaus Naly.

Abstract

The research entitled "History of Barus Harbor (1901-1983)" aims to find out the background of the establishment of Baru Harbor, the goods traded, who carried out the trade from the Dutch Colonial period to the New Order era, the causes of Barus Harbor experiencing decline and the impact The decline of Barus Harbor lasted from 1901-1983. The method used in this research is a historical method which has four stages, namely: heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and explanation using a maritime history approach. Based on the research results, it is known that the background to the establishment of the Barus port was because the trading port at Kadei Gadang was not safe for merchant ships to dock, so the colonial government built the Barus Port, while the goods traded by the local population were camphor, resin, salt, incense. exchanged for Chinese merchandise such as ceramics, the Mandailing people traded Malay songket, while the Dutch traded watches and ceramics. The decline in trade at Barus Harbor was caused by sea abrasion, as a result Barus harbor was no longer the main port, because a safer harbor was built in Pasar Tarandam.

Abstract

This research explores the role of social media in forming brand image and brand awareness, with a focus on coffee shops in Medan City. Using a historical approach, this research looks at the evolution of coffee shop marketing from the traditional era to modern social media. Analysis was carried out on the marketing strategies used by coffee shops, including the use of visual aesthetics, authentic narratives and active interactions with customers. The research results show that social media plays a very important role in increasing brand awareness and strengthening relationships with customers. Nonetheless, challenges in online reputation management and the need to continuously innovate marketing strategies were also identified. The conclusion of this research confirms that social media has become an effective tool for coffee shops in Medan to build a strong and memorable brand image amidst increasingly fierce competition in the coffee industry.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Sejarah Kebiasaan Penggunaan Saong-saong Oleh Wanita Batak di desa Pardugul, Kecamatan Pangururan, Kabupaten Samosir. Dalam artikel ini membahas secara dalam mengenai bagaimana sejarah penggunaan saong-saong, penggunaan fungsi saong-saong oleh inang-inang, serta bagaimana tranformasi fungsi Saong-saong oleh Inang- inang batak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Dekskriptif Kualitatif, dengan mengumupulkan data dilapangan melalui wawancara atau studi dokumen. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan Model analisis Spradley tahun 1980. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengungkap Sejarah Saong-saong dan tranformasi fungsi saong-saong pada saat ini, untuk tetap mempertahankan suatu sejarah atau simbol wanita Batak melalui saong-saong yang telah ada dari zaman nenek moyang.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of history education in the formation of student identity at SMA Negeri 2 Medan. Using a qualitative approach with case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that history education at SMA Negeri 2 Medan has an important role in shaping students' identities, especially in instilling national and cultural values. History teachers use varied and contextual learning methods, such as discussions, debates, and interactive learning resources, which have proven to be effective in increasing student participation and understanding. However, the study also found challenges such as limited learning time and students' lack of interest in history. Nevertheless, history education still has a positive impact in strengthening students' identities as Indonesia citizens with integrity and a strong sense of nationality. Research recommendations include innovation of learning methods, increased time allocation, and provision of adequate learning resources to optimize the role of history education in the formation of students' identity.

Abstract

This research is titled "Integration of Local Values in History Learning at SMA Negeri 5 Medan" and aims to identify how local cultural values are integrated into history learning and understand the challenges and impacts on students. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, documentation studies, and focus group discussions (FGDs) with teachers, students, principals, and community leaders. The results of the study show that teachers have made efforts to integrate local values through methods such as folklore and local history case studies. However, the challenges faced include limited teaching materials, lack of teacher training, and a dense curriculum load. Although students show high interest and feel more engaged when local values are incorporated into learning, this integration has not been fully optimal and consistent. This research emphasizes the importance of developing a more contextual curriculum, more in-depth teacher training, and collaboration with local communities. The integration of local values is expected to strengthen students' cultural identities and preserve local cultural heritage, with a significant impact on their character formation and historical understanding.

Abstract

This study evaluates the application of competency-based history learning at SMA Negeri 2 Medan to assess its effectiveness, challenges, and impact on students. The research method used is a mixed approach that includes quantitative data from competency tests and questionnaires as well as qualitative data from interviews and observations. The test results showed variations in the achievement of students' competencies, with the highest achievement in understanding historical concepts and the lowest in analytical ability. The questionnaire revealed that most students and teachers consider competency- based methods to increase student engagement, despite obstacles such as difficulty connecting materials to daily life and technological limitations. Observations in the classroom highlight the effectiveness of methods such as group discussions and projects, but also point to the need for improved teacher training and technological facilities. The study concludes that while competency-based history learning has the potential to improve students' learning experience, existing challenges need to be addressed through additional training for teachers, technological improvements, and the preparation of more structured materials. Parent involvement and community support were also identified as important factors in the success of this learning.
