Abstract

This study investigates the impact of TikTok short video content on user engagement among Gen Z in Klaten County, Indonesia, with cognitive absorption serving as a mediating variable. TikTok, a short-video platform renowned for its brief, engaging, and algorithmically personalized content, has witnessed exponential growth, particularly among younger users. The study involved 120 active TikTok users aged 18-26. The analysis utilized SmartPLS software to assess the validity and reliability of the measurement model, followed by an evaluation of the structural model. The results demonstrate that short video content significantly influences user engagement both directly and indirectly through cognitive absorption. Cognitive absorption, marked by focused involvement, temporal dissociation, and heightened enjoyment, acts as a significant mediator. This study concludes that TikTok's content not only entertains but also enhances user engagement by improving the overall user experience. This research contributes to the understanding of digital media interaction by integrating psychological mechanisms into the study of user engagement on short video platforms.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial ratios on the stock price of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk for the period 2015–2024 using quarterly data. Fluctuations in banking stock prices amidst stable profit growth indicate the need for empirical studies on the financial indicators that most influence investor perceptions. This study uses Signaling Theory and Capital Structure Theory as the basis for analysis with independent variables ROA (Return on Assets), CAR (Capital Adequacy Ratio), DER (Debt to Equity Ratio), and EPS (Earnings per Share), and stock price as the dependent variable. Multiple linear regression using the t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination using SPSS V.27 is the study methodology. According to these results, stock prices are significantly impacted by CAR, significantly impacted by EPS, and not significantly impacted by ROA or DER. Together, the four ratios have a significant impact with a contribution of 67,9% to stock price variations. These findings confirm that CAR is the dominant factor considered by investors in assessing banking stocks.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Green Human Resource Management, Green Value Strategy, and Organizational Culture on Corporate Social Responsibility and their impact on Green Performance within hospital settings. Increasing environmental demands in the healthcare sector require hospitals to integrate environmentally responsible practices across their operational activities. The findings reveal that Green Human Resource Management, Green Value Strategy, and Organizational Culture positively affect Corporate Social Responsibility. In addition, Green Human Resource Management and Organizational Culture directly enhance Green Performance. Corporate Social Responsibility also strengthens the hospital’s environmental performance and acts as a connecting element between internal sustainability practices and environmental outcomes. These results indicate that improved environmental performance in hospitals is shaped by the combination of sustainability-oriented human resource policies, green value strategies, supportive organizational culture, and consistently implemented social responsibility initiatives.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Leadership, Recognition, Work-Life Balance, Training and Development, and Organizational Culture on Organizational Performance, with Employee Engagement as a mediating variable. The research is motivated by the critical role of employee engagement in driving productivity and organizational performance, particularly within financial institutions such as Rural Banks (BPR) in Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze the data collected from 190 BPR employees in Batam City through a structured questionnaire.The results indicate that Leadership, Recognition, and Training and Development have a positive and significant effect on Employee Engagement, which in turn significantly influences Organizational Performance. Meanwhile, Work-Life Balance and Organizational Culture show no significant effect, either directly on Employee Engagement or indirectly on Organizational Performance. These findings emphasize that human resource strategies focusing on participatory leadership, fair recognition systems, and well-planned training programs substantially contribute to improving employee engagement and organizational outcomes.This research contributes theoretically to the development of employee engagement models and practically to HR policy-making in rural banks. However, the study is limited by its geographic scope and cross-sectional design. Future research is recommended to employ a longitudinal approach and include a broader organizational context to validate and expand the current findings.

Abstract

This study examines the role of artificial intelligence (AI) adoption and transformational leadership in enhancing the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the digital era. SMEs, particularly in Indonesia, face challenges in adopting AI due to factors such as high costs, limited digital skills, and inadequate infrastructure. However, AI has the potential to improve operational efficiency, decision-making, and customer satisfaction. The research explores the interactions between AI perception, transformational leadership, and organizational readiness to change, all of which influence SME performance. The study uses a quantitative approach, employing survey methods with a sample of 144 respondents from SMEs in Surabaya, specifically focusing on the seafood processing industry. The data is analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the proposed hypotheses. Findings indicate that a positive perception of AI significantly impacts SME performance, with transformational leadership playing a crucial role in motivating employees to embrace digital innovation. Organizational readiness is identified as a key mediator between AI adoption and performance, highlighting the importance of preparing SMEs for digital transformation. The research contributes to understanding how AI and leadership practices can be integrated into SME operations to foster growth in the digital age. The study provides actionable insights for policymakers, business owners, and managers on fostering a conducive environment for AI adoption and digital transformation.

Abstract

Tujuan riset ini adalah menguji pengaruh kualitas penganggaran, kompetensi sumberdaya manusia terhadap kinerja pengelolaan keuangan sekolah, menguji pemanfaatan teknologi informasi sebagai pemoderasi pengaruh kualitas penganggaran dan kompetensi sumberdaya manusia terhadap kinerja pengelolaan keuangan di SMA dan SMK Negeri Propinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Data diperoleh melalui survei kepada pegawai yang menangani dana Bantuan Operasional Sekolah (BOSNAS) dan APBD (BOSDA) di SMA dan SMK Negeri Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Jumlah sampel140ditentukan dengan purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Hasilnya menunjukkan pengaruh positif signifikan kualitas penganggaran, kompetensi sumber daya manusia dan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi terhadap kinerja pengelolaan keuangan dan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi memoderasi pengaruh kualitas penganggaran dan kompetensi sumber daya manusia terhadap kinerja pengelolaan keuangan sekolah.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effectiveness of the Fraud Hexagon Theory in detecting fraudulent financial reporting in state-owned banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2019 to 2023. It also evaluates the accuracy of the Beneish M-Score model and the moderating role of the audit committee in this relationship. A quantitative approach is used, with multiple regression and moderation regression analysis of secondary data from annual financial reports. The study focuses on six factors of the Fraud Hexagon Theory: pressure, opportunity, rationalization, capability, arrogance, and collusion. Results show that the nature of the industry significantly influences fraudulent financial reporting, while factors like external pressure, auditor switching, CEO narcissism, and multiple board positions did not. The audit committee moderated the relationship between industry nature, CEO narcissism, and multiple board positions with financial fraud, but had no effect on other factors. These findings emphasize the importance of strong internal controls and governance in the banking sector.
