Abstract

This research was carried out because it was found in the short story "Rain" by Nurillaiyah which had many masters in each series of stories written. Understanding of the reader in understanding the meaning of a reading that is still lacking in the background of the implementation of this style or language analysis. So in this study the researchers took two formulations of the problem, namely what meaning is implied in the short story "Rain"? and what style of language is used in the short story "Rain"? The purpose of this study is to analyze the majas in the short story "Rain" so that the reader is able to distinguish the types of majas, the meaning of the majas and appreciation of the majes outlined by the writer. In this study, researchers used a qualitative descriptive research method to analyze the composition contained in the short story "Rain", this research was conducted by reading the short story first, then analyzing and marking which text is included in the paper, then from the data that has been analyzed researchers found various kinds of majas in the short story "Rain", namely there are comparative forms, including personification, metaphor, allegory, hyperbole, sinekdok and simile, affirmation forms including repetition, rhetoric, asindeton, pleonasme, enumeration, and contradictory forms namely paradox and satire majesty namely innuendo. The conclusion is that this research is expected to be able to add insight in understanding understanding of discourse in terms of semantic knowledge.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that slang language is slang, although the style is deviant or includes slank language but is commonly used by teenagers. One of them is in the novel Reach Your Dreams by Wirda Mansur, which features slang in order to suit the target audience of teenagers. The purpose of this research is to; 1) Identify the slogan contained in the novel Reach Your Dreams by Wirda Mansur, and 2) describe the results of language analysis from the aspects of language (phonology, morphology and semantics). This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data in this study are words in the form of slang, obtained from the novel Reach Your Dreams by Wirda Mansur. The data was collected using the basic techniques of reading and taking notes, namely the analysis instrument in the form of a study of research results. The results showed that; 1) in the novel Reach Your Dreams by Wirda Mansur, there are around 90 slang words, and 2) the phonological aspect is 31,11%, the morphological aspect is 14.45%, and the semantic aspect is 54.44%. The slang language used is in the form of abbreviations, acronyms, conversational language which is converted into written form, foreign languages, and words that are not in accordance with the provisions. The use of slang in the novel makes the novel more fluid and acceptable to teenage readers.

Abstract

Literacy is one of the activities of reading can make an effort in the movement that is very important to educate life. One of them with literacy can gain widespread knowledge. High quality reading skills will affect the increase in students' reading interest. Interest in reading in all circles is still lacking, especially students and students who are struggling in the world of education. This is caused by people who are less aware of the benefits of literacy. The government makes a policy to build a culture of literacy through familiarizing students with reading before learning begins, namely the School Literacy Movement (GLS) program. This study intends to determine the effect of students on the ongoing learning process with the existence of the School Literacy Movement program on the reading fondness of students at SMP Negeri 1 Cisarua. The subjects in this study were students at SMP Negeri 1 Cisarua. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are done by questionnaire, observation, and documentation. The results of this study determine that the influence of the school literacy movement program can be beneficial in the learning process. Students' fondness for reading can increase after the Literacy Movement. School. Literacy culture can be improved through reading activities and their reading skills can develop well by always growing literacy in students.

Abstract

Writing is an activity expressing the thoughts, ideas, and feelings of a person as outlined in written language. This research is motivated by the lack of student interest in writing because students find it difficult to put ideas and ideas into written form. The purpose of this study is to examine the scenario and implementation of learning to write biographical texts in Class X vocational students using the Think Talk Write (TTW) model assisted by Powtoon media, examine the responses of teachers and class X vocational students to learning to write biographical text using the Think Talk Write model (TTW) is assisted by Powtoon media and examines the difficulties experienced by students of Class X vocational Schools in completing assignments to write biographical texts. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method by describing the facts in the field. The subjects of this study were SMK students of class X-BDP 1 with a total of 30 students. The learning process lasts for two meetings. The results showed that the results of student implementation were 94.3% and the results of teacher implementation were 98.3%. The response of students getting a percentage of 58.3% was categorized very high and the response results of teachers getting a percentage of 57% were categorized high. In working on biographical text writing problems the difficulties experienced by students in the aspects of using Indonesian Spelling (EBI) and aspects of writing.

Abstract

The short story is a fictional narrative with a length of about 500 to 10,000 words and is more focused than a novelet, short stories tend to be short, mostly only telling a single incident, but still paying attention to the elements in it such as themes, characters, plot, background, characterization, message and style of language. The short story "Setangkai Pohon Ibu" by Vaughan Calista, V.P is a literary work that has a message and a useful moral message, and can be used as an appropriate reading source for readers. The formulation of the problem in this study is how to analyze the intrinsic elements contained in the short story? And what mandate can we take in the short story, so that we can draw the final conclusion of the short story. The purpose of this study was to determine the theme, plot, setting, characterization, point of view and mandate in the short story "Setangkai Pohon Ibu" by Vaughan Callista, V.P. The method used in this research is descriptive method, in which data is decomposed in the form of words or pictures, not in the form of numbers. This research form uses a structural approach. The short story "Set a Ibu Pohon" by Vaughan Callista, VP with the theme of love, the characters involved are Daniel, mother, and father, the plot used by the writer is a forward plot with a background where it refers to the hospital, garden, Daniel's room, the time setting shows morning. days, an atmosphere of tension, sadness and happiness. The point of view used is the third person pronoun, as for the mandate contained in a short story "A Mother's Tree" is that we must always keep nature in order to keep it beautiful by guarding the trees and not cutting it carelessly, because by protecting nature, it will be very many benefits to our future

Abstract

This research is motivated by the rise of song lyrics whose meaning is already immoral. Some of the song lyrics even have meaning that is not appropriate. The purpose of this article is to analyze the composition and meaning contained in the lyrics of the Nadin Amizah song entitled seperti tulang. Researches are interested in analyzing song seperti tulang because in them there are special and beautiful words and meaning that can be learned. In addition, researches are also interested in knowing what kind of content is contained in the lyrics of the song, because in the lyrics of this song the meaning or hope to be conveyed. Then the method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, a method by analyzing the data and the result of the data then processed in the form of a description. The subject analyzed was song lyrics seperti tulang. The result of the analysis of the lyrics of this song is that there is personification, rhetoric, and paradoxical cooperation. The meaning and message contained in the lyrics of this song is the story of human being who is good at hiding wounds even though he is often seen laughing.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on an interest in studying the physical structure in poetry. Because it can be seen from the very simple choice of words. Even though it is taken from everyday language, it can produce a distinct beauty. Able to make readers understand the meaning conveyed, so that they are carried away with the poetry as in the poem "in my prayer"  by Sapardi Djoko Damono. The purpose of this study 1) to analyze the physical structure "in my prayer" by Sapardi Djoko Damono, 2) to describe the poems in my prayer by Sapardi Djoko Damono in sound and language. In this study using a qualitative descriptive method is a method used to find knowledge of research subjects at a certain time. This study also uses a structural approach. The subject is the poem in prayer by Sapardi Djoko Damono. The results of this study can be seen  in terms of sound divided into several parts, namely rhyme, kakafoni and ephony, onomatopoeia, anaphora and epiphora, asonation, and alliteration. Where as in language there are vocabulary, choice of words or diction, images or pengimajian (sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, and movement). Language with language (comparison, personification, metaphor, allegory, parable, metonomia, and synekdoke), rhetorical language, concrete language, grammar, and typography of language. So, the sound and language will be analyzed one by one. As for the topic of this research, it is able to inspire everyone to be able to make literary works better by paying attention to the structure contained in poetry.Keywords: Rhymes, Sounds, Sapardi Djoko Damono

Abstract

This analysis was conducted to determine errors in the speech that came out of the child's speech tools. In teaching the first language, children are able to master the language by imitating what their mother said. Through imitating language activities, children are able to develop language and knowledge about the structure of the habitual patterns of the language they imitate. The research method used by researchers is descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted to determine language errors; the sample in this study were children under five, two years old and four years old. The results of this study are that there are errors in the speech of the children, such as in 2-year-olds the errors in their pronunciation are only pronouncing the ending words such as / cow / become / pi /, / horse / become / da /, / lizard / become / dal. /. In children aged 4 years, the language error in the utterance is a change in phonemes such as / c / to / t /, / g / to / d /, / k / to / t /, and so on. In the development process, the language errors in terms of speech are included in the analysis of language in phonology.

Abstract

This article discusses a surrealist short story. The approach used in this study is Pierce's semiotics approach, which is to discuss the signs in the short story anthology entitled "A Piece of Dusk for My Girl" by Seno Gumira Adji Darma. These signs have a certain meaning / significance closely related to the community system. The sign can be seen from the use of the language used. The signs that exist in literary works must be revealed to find out the message to be conveyed by the author. This study aims to determine the relationship between the sign with the reference based on the nature of the ground, (1) Sinsign, (2) Qualisign, and (3) Legisign. With semiotics, readers can capture the message or intent of a short story that is not clearly displayed by the author. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. This article examines the trilogy that exists in the short story anthology entitled A Twilight Piece for My Boyfriend, Answer Alina, Postman in a total of 41 pages. In the shorts story trilogy, researches found 21 interrelated signs. The sign is examined with Pierce’s semiotics it becomes a series of meaningful stories so that the message can be clearly known.

Abstract

The short story "Sate Nangka" written by Yusniar is one of the literary works that can be used as motivation for readers and writers. The contents of this short story are very interesting because the contents of the story are common in everyday life. The problem formulation is focused on the moral values. The purpose of study to analyze moral value of the short story "Sate Nangka" written by Yusniar. The analysis in this study uses qualitative descriptive method. Qualitative descriptive method is a method that seeks to describe all symptoms or actual conditions at the time the research was carried out. Data collection is done by: (1) reading, (2) analyzing short stories, and (3) marking sentences in which there are moral values. The results showed that in the short story "Sate Nangka" by Yusniar, there are moral values related to daily life, such as: social care, creativity, hard work,  and no strings attached. Through this research, it is hoped that readers will be able to learn the moral values presented by the author in the short story "Sate Nangka" by Yusniar. Life experience that looks simple, but the impact is extraordinary for the character and it wiil be of the nation's children.
