Abstract

The purpose of this research are examine the implementation of the problem based learning method based on powtoon application in the learning process to write explanatory texts, so that students be able to solve problems, examine the responses of teacher and students to learning how to write explanatory texts by using the problem based learning method based on powtoon application and examine the difficulties - difficulties is doing the task of writing explanatory texts. The method used descriptive qualitative. Subjects in this research were students at one of the Junior high schools class eight in Mutiara 4 Bandung with a total 36 students. Observation sheets, questionnaire sheets and test sheets are part of the instruments used. The result of this research show the implementation of researcher and students activities that have been observed by observer one and observer two are in accordance with the learning scenarios that have been designed. Questionnaire responses of teacher and students were categorized very well and the average value obtained by students overall was 81.10. On average, categorized as good of student grade. Based on the results, it proves the problem based learning method based on powtoon application is effectively used in the teaching process to write explanatory texts at one of  junior high schools class eight in Mutiara 4 Bandung

Abstract

Peneitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat keterampilan membaca pemahaman teks eksposisi siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Gunung Talang  dan  mendeskripsikan hubungan antara keterampilan membaca pemahaman teks eksposisi dan keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Gunung Talang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Gunung Talang  yang terdaftar tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Jumlah siswa kelas VII pada semester ini adalah  211 orang yang tersebar dalam tujuh kelas, yaitu kelas VII Aksel, kelas VII A, kelas VII B, kelas VII C, kelas VII D, kelas VII E, dan kelas VII F. Mengingat jumlah populasi  lebih dari 100 orang maka perlu diadakan penyampelan. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel adalah teknik simple random sampling. Pertama, keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Padang berada pada kualifikasi baik (78,28). Keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Gunung Talang belum memenuhi KKM karena rata-rata keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Gunung Talang lebih kecil daripada KKM (78,28<80,00). Kedua, keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas X VII SMP Negeri 2 Gunung Talang  berada pada kualifikasi baik (78,67). Keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Gunung Talang  belum memenuhi KKM karena rata-rata keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas VII SMP SMP Negeri 2 Gunung Talang  lebih kecil daripada KKM (78,67<80,00).

Abstract

The research used is related to foreign languages, namely languages that are used in a particular area. The use of foreign languages is often used by various groups of people, both in the area or outside the language area itself. On this occasion the researcher will analyze about foreign languages in the student presentation forum, because the presentation activity is a forum for conveying various opinions of learning activities. Then the presentation forum can also be said to be the center of language variation. The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the speech acts of students involving foreign languages in learning activities. The use of foreign languages in this presentation forum researchers used descriptive qualitative methods for data processing. Researchers take data using video, listen and look for foreign languages contained in the video based on the type of meaning in a foreign language. The results of the study stated that from the various videos that researchers found there were only 18 words from foreign languages mentioned by students in the videos that were obtained.

Abstract

Short story is one type of literary work in the form of prose with a short story, but in the story there is a series of stories that cover the problem and its solution. Short stories are built with two elements, namely intrinsic elements and extrinsic elements. The intrinsic elements of the short story include the theme, setting, character / characterization, plot, point of view, language style and message. Extrinsic elements include community background, author background and the values contained in the short story. This research is motivated to appreciate short stories as one of the literary works, this research uses descriptive qualitative research method, the purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the intrinsic elements contained in the short stories “old writer” by Haryo Pamungkas. Data analysis was carried out in several stages, namely by reading, analyzing, taking notes and identifying the contents of the short story. After the data were analyzed, the researcher found that the short story “old writer” by Haryo Pamungkas contained intrinsic elements,namely theme, setting, plot, character / characterization, point of view, language style and mandate. The short story also has a message to convey to readers who always rely on the their devices that if life is only spent in front of a square screen that can contain everything without us knowing the outside world we will never know how beautiful it is to remember the past that was so pleasant in old age.

Abstract

Researchers found problems in learning exposition text students still have difficulty in expressing ideas in the implementation of exposition text writing learning. Researchers use the mind mapping method as a way to provide stimulation to students in developing ideas or developing. The purpose of this research study is to study the differences and implementation of learning in students by using conventional methods and mind mapping methods in learning to write exposition text. The method used in this research is experimental type with the design used by One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. With the object of class X-MIA students who can be competed as many as 30 people. After spending is carried out using conventional methods and mind mapping methods in students in learning to write exposition text, then an assessment of the results obtained by the average score obtained. It can be seen from the results of the acquisition of pretest scores using the conventional method of 61.20 and an increase in the acquisition of posttest scores using the mind mapping method of 75.60 and an increase in the passing grade of students who exceeded the KKM which was originally only 7 people after being given treatment to 21 people.

Abstract

This study aims to increase students' interest in learning in class X MIPA 2 SMAN 1 Cipongkor in literary material, namely folklore (saga) using pop up media, and to help students describe the structure of the story such as the background so that it can be better understood by readers using pop up media. This research method uses qualitative descriptions which aim to make natural descriptions of objects accurately. The data collection technique used during the research was test technique. The test aims to be a measuring tool for students' learning success in writing folk tales (saga) using pop up media. The results showed the students who scored on the initial test with an average score of 43 and the final test with an average value of 77.88. Thus, learning to write folk tales (saga) using pop media has increased very well.

Abstract

Sapardi Djoko Damono’s poem entitled Aku Ingin have a simple verse, but has a very deep meaning. This poem was written for his beloved wife, because at that time Sapardi’s wife was ill. Sapardi Djoko Damono is a writer and professor at the Faculty of Letters, University of Indonesia, he was able to write the poem Aku Ingin in just 15 minutes. Because this poem has a very deep meaning, the writer used it as research material. The purpose of this research is to analyze the meaning in Sapardi Djoko Domono’s poem entitled Aku Ingin in semiotics, to describe the results of the analysis of the poem entitled Aku Ingin, and to define the main problems in the theme of the poem. The method used is descripted method, wchis is to tell the contebts of the analyzed is dissected using a semiotic approach. The results show that this poem is an expression the the love he experinces does not reach his idol’s heart. The results of analyzing this poem are the symbols in the first, second, and fifth verses. Icons are on repeated verses. And the index is inthe third and sixth stanzas which use personafication figures.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai analisis kesalahan berbahasa pada anak usia 3 tahun pada aspek fonologi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui ujaran yang diucapkan oleh anak usia 3 tahun.Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seorang anak bernama Aisyah Dzakiyyah dan objek penelitian ini adalah analisis kesalahan berbahasa dalam aspek fonologi.Data di kumpulkan  dengan teknik simak , serta menggunakan teknik lanjutan yang berupa teknik rekam dan catat. Data di analisis secara deskriptif. Setelah memperoleh data, kemudian data tersebut di visualisasikan dalam sebuah tabel yang berfungsi memudahkan peneliti untuk menunjukkan hasil data yang diperoleh serta melihat perubahan fonem yang duicapkan oleh anak tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan 25 tuturan yang diucapkan oleh anak umur 3 tahun untuk menjadi sampel penelitian. Terdapat beberapa perubahan bunyi pada tuturan yang diujarkan anak tersebut. Munculnya perubahan bunyi ini disebabkan oleh belum sempurnanya alat ucap pada anak tersebut.(cakap)

Abstract

This research is motivated by the difficulty in appreciating a poetry that uses a lot of indexes and symbols that are rarely used and not yet known by the public such as in the work of "Pelayaran Tuhan" by Afrizal Malna. The purpose of this research is (1) Describing the results of a semiotic analysis of “Pelayaran Tuhan” poetry by Afrizal Malna, (2) Summarizing the theme of the poetry based on the analysis results. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with Peirce's semiotic approach which divides the signification process of sign into three factors: representamen, object, and interpretant. The results of the study found that this poem tends to use more tangible signs of index objects and symbols, most of which is not a familiar symbols. The system of meaning in this poem uses many imageries and emotions conveyed through index and symbols of sailing and sea atmosphere. The results of the analysis in this research show that this poetry is closely related to the theme of God or religious, spiritual and transcendental.

Abstract

One alternative learning model in the 2013 curriculum is Discovery Learning (DL). Nowadays, the facts in the field of teachers have never developed a discovery learning model to improve students' abilities, which tend to be low. Discovery learning as a teaching procedure that emphasizes individual teaching, object manipulation, etc. is expected to be a solution for teachers in teaching knowledge to their students. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection used is literature study, observation, interviews and in-depth analysis of documents related to research. The purpose of this study was to determine the development design of the discovery learning model assisted by visual poster media in the learning of writing persuasion texts with the object of research of grade VIII students. The results found in this study are that the first step in the discovery learning model is to display a poster containing an advertisement in the form of an image, which is a stimulus or stimulus for students to start learning activities and get to know the material to be taught. The next step is that students are required to identify problems that have been presented and have been observed first. Next, students collect data that has been seen, observed, and from their own knowledge to solve problems from the results of their collection and knowledge. The data will later be used to answer the problem. from the identification of the observed problems. Then, students verify or prove whether the resulting data can solve the problem from the identification results or not. The final step is to draw conclusions from temporary answers, Then in the design of the discovery learning model development assisted by visual media posters is to prepare the material to be presented in advance, making learning scenarios using the discovery learning model, and preparing questions or assignments that students must do after learning activities with the discovery learning model, and the obstacles that students experience in writing persuasion texts are in terms of making paragraphs or paragraphs in the form of persuasion (solicitation, seduction, or persuasion. ) including students experiencing obstacles in arranging the flow of text from the material presented in the form of posters.
