Abstract

This research aimed to know mindfulness significantly influenced spiritual well-being, to know the spiritual well-being significantly influenced life satisfaction, to know mindfulness significantly influenced life satisfaction, and to know the Spiritual well being mediated the influence of mindfulness toward life satisfaction. The subject in the research included 152 students of STAKN Kupang with 49 male students (32%) and 103 female students (68%), and were taken from four semesters with 50 first semesters student (33%), 34 third semester students (22%), 38 fifth semester students (25%), and 30 seventh semester students (20%). A quantitative research method was used with techniques such as regression analysis, path analysis, Sobel test and bootstrapping. The findings show that: (1) mindfulness significantly influenced the spiritual well-being; (2) spiritual well-being significantly influenced life satisfaction; (3) mindfulness did not influence life satisfaction; and (4) spiritual well-being mediated the influence of mindfulness toward life satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive multimedia as a viable medium to be used in individual planning services about information on State High Schools in the school zone for the domicile of the new Kebayoran sub-district. The research was conducted at Purnama Middle School in Jakarta. The research used is the ADDIE development model with three stages, (1) analysis, (2) design and (3) development. The instruments used were expert validation questionnaires and user trial questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is formative evaluation techniques. The results of material validation show the category “very feasible” with a percentage of 83.33%. Then the results of media validation show the category “very feasible” with a percentage of 91.11%. The results of user trial conducted on five students showed the category “feasible” in the aspect of the media with a percentage of 81.6%, the category “feasible” in the material aspect with a percentage of 79%, and the category “very feasible” in the aspect media with a percentage of 82%.

Abstract

Disadari bahwa dewasa ini sebagian besar masyarakat mulai tenggelam dalam gaya hidup yang berbasis teknologi. Dengan adanya perkembangan teknologi dan komunikasi memberi kemudahan dan memperluas ruang gerak masyarakat dewasa ini. Artinya hampir sebagian besar aktivitas masyarakat tidak lagi dibatasi oleh ruang dan waktu, kapan dan dimana saja. Tentu perkembangan tersebut dapat membawa dampak yang positif tapi juga negatif. Oleh karena itu agar tidak terjebak pada penyalahgunaan penggunaan maka teknologi informasi menjadi penting untuk dipelajari dan dikuasasi oleh setiap orang. Dalam bimbingan dan konseling sebagai konselor yang profesional, maka seyogyanya harus memikirkan dan bahkan harus menciptakan cara-cara, strategi atau metode baru yang kreatif dan inovatif untuk menunjang pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling. Dengan demikian, diharpkan bahwa dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi ini dapat menepis image yang negatif terhadap profesi konselor. Pelayanan cybercounseling adalah salah satu bentuk pertanggungjawaban keilmuan bagi setiap orang yang menyandang profesi konselor profesional. Oleh karena itu konselor perlu beradaptasi dan mempersiapkan diri secara baik dalam penguasaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dalam melaksanakan pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling. Hal ini tidak lagi menjadi pilihan tetapi menjadi sebuah kewajiban untuk dilakukan oleh konselor mengingat perilaku masyarakat dewasa ini melaksanakan aktivitas basisnya pada teknologi informasi dan komunikasi.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of group counseling with cognitive behavior therapy approach using passive music therapy technique to improve the self-efficacy of millennials college students who is writing thesis. The research used quasi-experimental design (pretest, post-test,and follow-up). Group counseling was conducted for five meetings, and follow-up was performed two weeks after the treatment. Research subjects were seven millennials college students. Purposive sampling technique was used to select the subjects, that is based on inclusion criteria and level of self-efficacy which is obtained from self-efficacy scale (rxy=0.601-0.839,coefficient alpha=0.951).The results showed that group counseling with cognitive behavior therapy approach using passive music therapy technique was significantly effective to improve the millennials college students’ self-efficacy in pretest vs. post-test and pretest vs follow-up, but in post-test vs. follow-up there was a slight decrease in self-efficacy. Passive music therapy which is integrated into group counseling with cognitive behavior counseling approach, it is not only able to solve the individual problems but also able to help individuals to analyze their thoughts and behaviors through passive music activities with guidedimagery.

Abstract

Data from the Indonesian Child Protection Commission said, from 2011 to the end of 2018, there were 11,116 children in Indonesia involved in criminal cases, various criminal cases committed by adolescents namely theft, drugs, abuse, immorality, and murder. The purpose of this study is to encompass epidemiological literature about the prevalence, risk factors, and psychological conditions of adolescents who commit crimes. The method used is a systematic process used to find literature about the causes of juvenile crime. The literature on these topics is summarized to provide an overview of these problems. The results found that too many teenagers which grow up in unhealthy circumstances, they are faced with many life challenges such as family, economy, and education that contribute to criminal behavior. It is hoped that this literature review will help community institutions, parents, and schools (school personnel: teachers, counselors) to improve arrangements for creating protection to minimize criminal cases in adolescents.

Abstract

The research was backgrounded by still low level of the learning motivation of students. The self-concept and parental support suspectted to affect the learning motivation of students. This research aims to describe : (1) the self-concepts, (2) parental support, (3) learning motivation of students, (4) the contribution of the self-concept toward the learning motivation of students, (5) the parental support contributions toward the learning motivation of students, and (6) the contribution of self-concept and parental support together against to the learning motivation of students. This study used a descriptive correlational quantitative method. The population of this research was students of SMA Negeri 8 Padang in class XI and XII which totaled 464 people. The number of samples are 215 people, selected by proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used is the scale. Results validity and reliability of the instrument self-concept, parental support, and learning motivation of student stated that valid and reliable research instruments. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, simple regression, and multiple regression. The findings showed that: (1) the average description of self-concepts are in positive category, (2) an average description of parental support are in high category, (3) description of the learning motivation of students are in high category, (4) there is contribution of self-concept toward the learning motivation of students by 24.2%, (5) there is contribution of parental support toward the learning motivation of students by 18.8%, and (6) there are contributions of self-concept and parental support together toward the learning motivation of students amounted to 30.7%. Implications of the research results can be used as input to create a program of guidance and counseling services.

Abstract

Academic guidance to reduce the cheating behavior of Madrasah Tsanawiyah students. This research is motivated by the cheating problem experienced by some of the students when facing test or repetition, if the behavior of cheating is left protracted, then the behavior will become a habit to form a dishonest person. The purpose of this study to obtain a general description of the behavior of students who cheat as a foundation in the preparation of academic guidance programs to reduce the cheating behavior of learners. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive research method with total population of 155 students in class VIII MTs. Rijalul Hikam Jatinagara academic year 2014/2015 using saturated samples. (2) The validation result according to BK that the academic guidance program service is feasible to be used to reduce cheating behavior. The recommendation of this research is an academic guidance program to reduce cheating behavior of learners can be used as an alternative of guidance and counseling services in overcoming the problems of learning, especially to reduce the cheating behavior of learners.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the relationship between adult attachment and self-concept among year one and year two counselling students in University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). This research is correlational research design. The sample consisted of 52 respondents. The study involves two main variables of Adult Attachment and Self-Concept. In this study, the questionnaires used are Experience in Close Relationship (ECR) and Robson’s Self-Concept Questionnaire (SCQ). Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) analysis showed a negative significant relationship between Attachment Anxiety and Self-Concept with Pearson correlation value (p = 0.005, r = -0.383).This finding might be due to the respondents’ backgrounds which are Counselling students. It is suggested that the trainee counsellors to gain awareness on the importance of having positive self-concept in order to be competence and professional counsellor.

Abstract

Beberapa orangtua Siswa di SMAN 1 Ulakan Tapakis masih beranggapan bahwa pendidikan untuk anak tidak terlalu penting, indikasinya masih adanya orangtua yang beranggapan bahwa anak cukup bisa membaca dan menghitung, adanya orangtua acuh tak acuh mengenai pendidikan anak. Orangtua beranggapan bahwa sekolah tidak terlalu penting sebab pada akhirnya jadi pengangguran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif jenis deskriptif . Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X dan XI SMAN 1 Ulakan Tapakis sebanyak 156 orang, penarikan sampel menggunakan teknik Propotional Stratified Random Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala sikap model likert. Hasil uji reliabilitas persepsi orangtua tentang pendidikan sebesar 0,952. Hasil uji validitas rata-rata  instrumen persepsi orangtua tentang pendidikan sebesar 0,685. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi orangtua tentang pendidikan berada pada kategori positif.

Abstract

The high statistic of bullying behavior among adolescents is due to the low relationship between adolescents and parents. This happens because basically bullying behavior is influenced by the lack of emotional maturity, that is formed through the attachment of children with their parents, especially fathers. For this reason, this study aimed to find out the type of attachment to fathers among bully adolescents at Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 9 Banda Aceh. Data collection was conducted using Adult Attachment Scale (AAS). The results showed that close attachment to father was mostly in the low category with a percentage of 74.19%, which was then followed by the medium and high categories with the percentage of 16.13% and 9.68% respectively. Next, the anxious attachment style to father was mostly in the high category with a percentage of 67.75%, which was then followed by the medium category of 19.35% and low of 12.90%. Finally, the attachment style of the dependent attachment was mostly in the medium category of 80.65%, while the high and low categories were 9.67% respectively. So it can be concluded that the majority of bully adolescents have anxious attachment style to their fathers.
