Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the use of cooperative learning model two stay two stray towards the skill level essay writing exposition class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental method. The design of this study one group pretest and posttest design. Total population of 224 students. The sample in this research is class student of SMP Negeri 9 Padang VIII.1 by the number of 31 students were determined using purposive sampling technique. In this research there are two variables, namely (1) exposition essay writing skills of students before using cooperative learning model type of two stay two stray and (2) exposition essay writing skills of students after using cooperative learning model type of two stay two stray. The instrument used in this study tests the performance. This research data result score skill tests exposition essay writing class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padang before and after using cooperative learning model type of two stay two stray. The results of this study based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H_1) received the 95% significance level and degrees of freedom (df) = (N_1 + n_2) -2 because ttable <thitung (1.67 <8.19). In other words, the writing skills essay exposition eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Padang after using cooperative learning model type of two stay two stray better than writing skills essay exposition eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Padang before using cooperative learning model type of two stay two stray. Thus, cooperative learning model two stay two stray can be applied in teaching essay writing skills exposition.

Abstract

This study began with a preliminary study that found the learning outcomes of students in science learning was weak. This was due to teachers who only teach the concepts and theories to students, so that students were not active during learning. Science learning was a learning that aims to develop students' thinking skills to solving a problem. An appropriate learning model was needed to the goals in the science lesson could be achieved well. In this study proposed Learning Cycle 5E model as an alternative learning model that could be used to improve learning outcomes in science learning. Learning Cycle 5E model was a model consisting of 5 stages, which if each stage was implemented it could help achieve the learning objectives. This type of research was a Classroom Action Research that consists of two cycles and was carried out collaboratively between researchers and obsevers. Subjects in this study were teachers and students in V grade. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative data technique and quantitative data technique. The final result of research in each cycle had increased, both in terms of perencanaa, implementation and learning outcomes. Thus it could be concluded that the Learning Cycle 5E model helped to improve student learning outcomes in science learning.

Abstract

This study presents the corresponding problem of affix forming the nominal reduplication of Banjar Hulu language. Language Banjar is a language used by people of Indragiri Hilir Regency Riau. Currently the state of Banjar Hulu is contaminated with modern culture and technology. Therefore, a deep review of Banjar Hulu is needed. As for the related issues related to the form of affix forming the nominal reduplication of Banjar Hulu. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain in detail about the form of affix forming of narial reduplication Banjar Hulu language. This research is manifold field research using descriptive method. Research data in the form of words spoken by informants, with data collection techniques simak libat cakap. Data validation is done by source triangulation with data analysis taking into account the form of origin and basic form. The result of this research is the finding of an affix of N-an morph which has alomorph pa-an, ba-an, ka-an, ta-an, sa-an, and sing-an.

Abstract

This research entitled "Pronouns Malay Language In Movie Nujum Pak Belalang by Puteh Ramlee". The problem of this research is how is the pronoun of Malay in Nujum Pak Belalang by Puteh Ramlee? The purpose of this research is to know and describe the pronoun of Malay in Nujum Pak Belalang by Puteh Ramlee. The theory used in this research is Alwi, et al (2003), theory Tadjuddin (2013), and theory Ramlan (1990). The approach used in this research is qualitative research, the type of research used in this research included into the research literature and the method used in this research is descriptive method. Data collection techniques of this research are: documentation techniques, references, and techniques of note. Technique of data analysis of this research is classified based on problem which researched in accordance with the object of research. The results indicate that in the movie Nujum Pak Belalang by Puteh Ramlee used the first single person pronouns [hambə], [bəta], and [pati?]. First person plural pronoun [kite]. Single person second pronoun [mikə]. General Pronouns [ni] and [tu].

Abstract

The low ability of writing creative skill of elementary students become the background of this research. The purpose of this study is to review and describe the effectiveness of creative writing skills of elementary students with multiliteration learning model. Creative writing is a way or process of ideas, or messages that contain added value, uniqueness, and is the original work of the author. Learning multiliteracy is a learning that constantly uses language skills to learn and form a complex understanding of other knowledge, related knowledge in the process of inquiry and as a means of building knowledge, building meaning, channeling ideas, and expressing ideas to generate creative and critical ideas for knowledge Already owned to be communicated to others. The method used in this research is quasi experiment with non-equivalent control group pretest posttest design. Data collected to answer research question that is data of pretest and posttest result of writing ability of fourth grader of elementary school. Techniques to measure the ability to write creative essay techniques. The result of posttest average score of writing ability of experiment class student is 9,04, meanwhile posttest average score of writing student ability of class of control is 7,38. From the results of these studies show that students creative writing ability is effective with in learning multiliteracy model

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the significant relationship of Linguistic Intelligence with Language Ability Students class X in SMA Negeri 15 Kota Pekanbaru. The research problem encountered in this study is the low ability of the students to speak in SMA Negeri 15 Pekanbaru. The method used is correlation method (Arikunto, 2010). The population is all the students of class X which amounts to 180 people. The sample used amounted to 80 people as research data. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires. The data is analyzed by using Statistical Analysis Version 20. The results of research on the relationship of linguistic intelligence with the language skills of class X students in SMA Negeri 15 Kota Pekanbaru. Validity and reliability test results obtained 0.882> 0.6 and 0.903> 0.6 This means the instrument used reliable. The conclusion that Pearson Product Moment correlation coefficient between two variables are linguistic intelligence variable (X) and language ability variable (Y). The obtained probability value Sig (2-tailed) is smaller than 0.05 ie 0,000 <0.05, then Ho is rejected. This means that there is a significant relationship between linguistic intelligence with the language skills of learners. So the relationship between linguistic intelligence with language skills of class X students in SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru is 0.790. This correlation value can be interpreted with strong relationship level criteria.

Abstract

Research on the cohesion of poetical text in Tunjuk Ajar Melayu by Tenas Effendy which viewed from the aspect of language. The role of cohesion is necessary in a text to support the linkage between the stanza with the stanza and the array with the array in a poem. With the cohesion will make it easier to read understand the author's intent. Cohesion can also affect the level of appreciation and understanding of the reader or the listener. Therefore, this study aims to know the cohesion between the lines in one line and antarbait in the text of the teachings of the teachings of Tenas Effendy Malay. The theory used Tarigan (1993), Effendy (2013), Tarigan (2009) and other supporting theories. Writing research this is descriptive-analitik with qualitative descriptive method. The data of this research are sourced Tunjuk Ajar Melayu by Tenas Effendy in 2013. Based on the research findings, there are several cohesion tools used in the text of lecture of Tenas Effendy's Malay teaching, among others, pronouncement, substitution, conjunction and lexical cohesion. There are several ways of lexical used are repetition, synonym and antonym and so on.

Abstract

Writing one of the language skills that require practice to be mastered well. Writing requires skills such as word choice, paragraph linkage, language style and so on. In learning of Indonesian class X there is writing prose which one of them is prose description. Monitoring of Indonesian language learning in SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru, learners have problems in writing materials, especially the prose description which is evidenced by the low average value. This research is focused to know process of applying guided training method assisted image media in improving writing skill description. Proposed formulation is how the implementation of guided training methods help image media in improving ability to write essay writing description of students. Purpose of study to describe implementation of guided training methods assisted image media in improving ability to write essay description of students. This research is a type of Classroom Action Research by using method of observation, test results, questionnaires and documentation with data sources ie students of class X SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru with the number of students 32 people. Average value of students in the pre-cycle stage of 72, 91. After an action on cycle I, average student score rose 5.65 to 78.56. Next on cycle II, it increased by 49.8 to 85.28. The results obtained in cycle I using image media show an increase. Questionnaire assessment shows that the result of students' level of enthusiasm increases and students are able to focus more on learning process because of proper writing stages for students.

Abstract

This research entitled "Analysis of Teacher Questions in Learning at SMA Negeri 2 Kerinci Kanan Siak District. The question intended in this study is a stimulus that encourages learners to think and learn (Nasution, 2012: 161). The problem of this research is, What kind of Teacher Question in Learning in SMA Negeri 2 Kerinci Kanan Siak Regency? And how to classify cognitive level questions. This study aims to describe, analyze, interpret, and conclude (1) types of questions; And (2) classification of cognitive level of questions based on bloom taxonomy Teachers in Learning at SMA Negeri 2 Kerinci Kanan Siak District. This study uses the theory of teaching or learning by taking concepts and opinions from various sources. The theory proposed by Zainal Asril (2012), J.J. Hasibuan and Moedjiono (2008), Buchari Alma (2012), Hamid Darmadi (2012), S. Nasution (2012) and Uzer Usman (2010). The results of this study are: first: the type of question used by the type of questions teachers in the process of learning SMA N 2 Kerinci Kanan Siak regency the highest question type of use is the question of digging (J4) as many as 63 questions or (56%), followed by query questions as much as 50 Questions or (44%), while the rhetorical (J2) and directing (J3) type questions are not found or not used by teachers in learning at SMAN 2 Kerinci Kanan Siak District. Second: Question classification used by teacher type in learning process at SMA N 2 Kerinci Kanan Siak Regency according to Bloom's taxonomy are: Knowledge (preccal question) (C1) obtained dta as many as 87 questions or 77%, understanding or comprehension question (C2) of 20 Question or 18%, application or aplication question (C3) not found or not used by teacher in process of learning, analysis or analysis question (C4) as much as 6 question or 5%. The questionnaire of synthetic question questionnaire (C5) and evaluation question (C6) was not found in this study.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the teaching of Malay in Tenas Effendy’s Poem as a base of character education. Poem contains various contents, mainly meaningful stories and a variety of religious advice that could be used as a reference in daily life. Therefore, indirectly, poetry is a base for character education not only because of the values inside, but also because of the strategies for the local wisdom preservation. The theory used Kemendiknas (2010), Effendy (2013), dan Syafri (2014). This paper is descriptive-analytic with descriptive qualitative method. The data sources are Tunjuk Ajar Melayu books from Tenas Effendy (2013). Based on the analysis, it can be indicated that the Teaching of Malay from Tenas Effendy Tenas Poem contributed to character education. The points that contributed to character education are religious value, social care, discipline, honesty, independence, responsibility, love peace, tolerance, caring environment, friendly/communicative, democratic, hard work, and curiosity.
