Abstract

PENGARUH MODEL RECIPROCAL TEACHING DAN SNOWBALL THROWING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI SISTEM REPRODUKSI MANUSIA DI SMAN 10 PALEMBANG   Zwesty Purwaningsih, Saleh Hidayat, dan Sri Wardhani Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang Njo_zwesty@yahoo.com dan saleh_ump@yahoo.com   Abstract: The research was backgrounded by the importance of understanding the biology of learning by means of cooperative learning as a teaching system that give students the chance to work together on learning tasks. Cooperative learning is known as learning groups, two of which are models of Reciprocal Teaching and Snowball Throwing. The research aim to know learning result of the student. Results showed that scores test be seen from the final of Reciprocal Teaching model and the final test model Snowball Throwing t-calculated value 6.220> t-table 1.9897, it is mean that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted therefore. Reciprocal Teaching model is different from the real impact Throwing Snowball model. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya memahami biologi belajar melalui pembelajaran kooperatif yang memberikan kesempatan siswa untuk bekerja sama dalam tugas-tugas belajar. Pembelajaran kooperatif yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model Reciprocal Teaching and Snowball Throwing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar setelah penerapan dua model pembelajaran tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan uji t dilihat dari akhir model Reciprocal Teaching dan final model uji Snowball Throwing nilai yang dihitung t-6,220> t-tabel 1,9897, hal ini berarti bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha karenanya diterima. Model Reciprocal Teaching berbeda dari dampak nyata Throwing Model Snowball. Kata Kunci: Model Pengajaran, Reciprocal Teaching, Snowball Throwing

Abstract

  Abstract: This research aimed to know the potential of ethanol extract of roselle fruits in improving the quantity and quality of sperm in mice induced nicotine. The method is implemented with the experimental method that uses a completely randomized design 30 male mice. This study consists of five treatments and six replications. Treatment for the provision of nicotine with a dose of 0,07mg / 10 g body weight and roselle fruit ethanol extract at a dose consisting of 0 mg / 10 g BB, 3 mg / 10 g BB, 6 mg / 10 g BB, and 9 mg / 10 g BB. Roselle fruit extract given by gavage and nicotine via subcutaneous injection for 35 days. Parameters measured were the number, viability, normal morphology, motility, and sperm plasma membrane integrity. The data were analyzed by analysis of variance and real distance difference test (BJND). The average number of sperm in mice P1, P2, P3, and P4 is 103.17 x 106 / ml, 153 x 106 / ml, 157 x 106 / ml, 146 x 106 / ml. The percentage of sperm viability in mice P1, P2, P3, and P4 is 47%, 60.67%, 70%, 68.67%. The percentage of normal sperm morphology P1, P2, P3, and P4 is 42.5%, 59.5%, 73.67%, 62.83%. The percentage of sperm motility in mice P1, P2, P3, and P4 is 41.3%, 61%, 63.7%, 59%. The percentage of plasma membrane integrity mice P1, P2, P3, and P4 is 42.4%, 70.4%, 71%, 62.9%. The results showed that ethanol extract of roselle fruits at a dose of 3 mg / 10 g BB maximal increase the number, the percentage of normal morphology, the percentage motility, sperm plasma membrane integrity mice and 6 mg / 10 g BB increased the percentage of sperm viability nicotine-induced mice. Results of this study are expected to be additional material on learning Biology Semester II Class X Basic Competencies 3.3 Describe the characteristics Divisio and its Role in the World of Plants for Survival on Earth. Abstract

Inquiry based learning (IBL) has become a prominent learning model in science educational reform in all countries. This research is a comparative studies which aims to analyse the practices of inquiry based learning in the science class of one Junior High School (JHS) in Thailand and Indonesia as part of the Sea-Teacher Project conducted by SEAMEO. The subjects were selected by convenience sampling, teachers and students grade 1, 2, and 3 of Chiang Rai Municipality School 6, also teacher and VIII-F students’ of Junior High School 4 Surakarta. Data were collected by document analysis of science curriculum, syllabus, lesson plans, and assessment; classroom observations, field notes, photo, video recordings; and interviews to teachers. The research confirmed that IBL has been adopted in the lower secondary science curriculum in both countries. Teachers have perception that science is about process, value, and product. Science is also about conservation and human existence. Syllabus and lesson plans of both school have followed the steps of IBL. Science learning activities show that both schools are in the same inquiry level, structured inquiry. Assessment of science learning is dominated by conceptual knowledge dimension, with different cognitive dimension processes. Thailand school has a higher level C3 (apply), while Indonesia is dominated by C1 (recall).Keywords:   comparative studies,inquiry based learning, science learning, Thailand, Indonesia

Abstract

Abstract: Research of kenikir leaves ethanol extract were conducted to determine its tonic effect on mice. The method of study is the experimen method which is addressed with a completely randomized design. Sample using 24 male mice, consisted of four treatments and six replications. Treatment dosage were 0 mg/10 g BW, 7 mg/10 g BW, 14 mg/10 g BW and 28 mg/10 g BW. Swim test method was to determine of tonic effect on mice. Swimming duration of mice were analyzed with analysis of variance and test of calculations Least Significant Different (LSD). The results showed an average swimming duration of mice were highest at dose of 28 mg/10 g BW is 814,33 sec. Analysis of variance showed that kenikir leaves ethanol extract effected in increasing highest swimming duration at dose 28 mg/10 g BW. It can be concluded that kenikir leaves ethanol extract were potentialy as a tonic. The results of this study can be contributed to additional mater information of Biological lesson at eleven grade of Senior High School at first term on basic competation 3.5 about the tissue structure of  movement organ system and connect with its bioprocess. Abstract

Abstract:The rTop of Formesearchof diversity and abundance of the order Coleoptera on the riparian of the Musi river Palembang have been done. This study aims to determine the diversity and abundance of the order Coleoptera on the riparian of the Musi river in Palembang. The method used is a survey method. Determining the location and station of research conducted by purposive sampling method. Sampling the species of the order Coeloptera done by direct sampling, insect nets and traps insects. Samples were analyzed using species diversity index, relative abundance index, dominance index and evenness index. The results were found 437 individuals, 29 species and 12 families of the order Coleoptera. Family of the order Coleoptera, namely Carambycidae, Carabidae, Chrysomilidae, Ciidae, Coccinellidae, Curculionidae, Dystiscidae, Melandryidae, Phalacridae, Scarabidae, Staphylinidae, and Tenebrionidae. The family of Coccinellidae and Chrysomilidae have the highest number of species, namely 8 species. The highest number of individuals was found in the family Chrysomilidae of survey sites Sungai Ijuk, which is a species Lema diversa (114 individuals). Based on the survey area the highest individual number of the order Coleoptera found in the Sungai Ijuk (451 individuals). The species diversity of Coleoptera on the riparian of the Musi riverin Palembang different. Diversity index of insect order Coleoptera in four locations in Palembang Musi riverriparian classified as moderate or not so diverse. Evenness index of the order Coleoptera in four survey sites Palembang Musi river riparian lower means quite evenly. Dominance index species of the order Coleoptera on the riparian of Musi River in Palembang showed the value of <0.50, meaning do not happen dominance of certain species. The information of this research results is expected to be the initial information diversity and abundance of the order Coleoptera on the riparian of the Musi river Palembang. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah non-equivalent control group design dengan jumlah sampel 84 siswa kelas X yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Materi pembelajaran yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pencemaran lingkungan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes KPS tipe pilihan ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran GI berpengaruh signifikan terhadap KPS siswa. Peningkatan KPS pada aspek mengamati, mengajukan pertanyaan dan berhipotesis termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, sedangkan KPS pada aspek menafsirkan pengamatan tergolong dalam kategori rendah.   Kata-kata kunci : Group Investigation,  keterampilan proses sains, pencemaran lingkungan   Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of the application of cooperative learning model Group Investigation (GI) in the Biology Learning Science Process Skills (SPS) students at SMAN 14 of Palembang. The study design used was a non-equivalent control group design with a sample of 84 students of class X consisting of experimental class and control class. Learning materials used in this study is environmental pollution. Data collection techniques in this study is a multiple-choice type of test SPS. The results showed that the learning model of GI significantly effect on students. Abstract

Abstract: The The development of biology module based on the character from the holy Qur’an of the 11th grades of Senior high school had done to create valid and effective module. Type of this study is development research that has three phases according to Akker, which are analysis, design and evaluation. The evaluation of the module was done at SMA Islam Terpadu Raudhatul Ulum on even semester 2013-2014. The techniques use to collect the data were documentation, validation sheet of teaching material, test and questionnaire. Based on the data gained and interpreted, the result show that (1) from the documentation and interview, it was found that in SMA IT RU on biology subject, the teacher has not used teaching material based on the holy Qur’an. (2) from the data validation by the expert. It was found that the teaching material that was developed is valid in term of media, language, material and interpretation of the subsections of the holy Qur’an. (3) from the questionnaire written by students, it was found that the teaching material is very good. (4)  from the result of the test, it showed  that the teaching material is effective. Based on the result of the data collection, it can be concluded that the teaching material product is valid and effective that having through analysis, design, and evaluation. Abstract

Abtract: The research was conducted to discribe the profile of the elementary school teacher in the teaching science. Single-series type was used as research method, and the subject selection method was purposive sampling. The subjects are teachers from grade III, IV, and V, with total subject are 17 teachers from 6  elementary school in Rajabasa district of Bandar Lampung. Teaching profile data collected through observation and questionnaire. The data were analyzed descriptively and compared with the standard of the education process and the principle of science. The result shows that 83,33% of teachers in the opening lesson still not in accordance with the standard, 72,21% of teachers dominate on core lesson activities, and students only listening and answering teachers questions. Classroom atmosphere is not conducive during the learning process. 61.11% of teachers use teaching tools. Thus it can be concluded that the science learning process in elementary schools in Rajabasa not in accordance with the standards and principles of science. Abstract

Penelitian mengenai jenis-jenis protista di Danau Teluk Gelam Kabupaten OKI dan sumbangannya pada pembelajaran Biologi SMA telah dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis protista pada tipe ekosistem perairan air tawar di Danau Teluk Gelam Kabupaten OKI dan membuat deskripsi. Sampel protista diambil dari lima titik sampling pada pagi, siang dan sore hari kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini telah ditemukan 35 jenis protista. Protista mirip hewan sebanyak 15 jenis tergolong dalam tujuh bangsa delapan suku dan 11 marga. Protista mirip tumbuhan sebanyak 20 jenis tergolong dalam tujuh bangsa sepuluh suku dan 19 marga. Kata-kata kunci: Protista, Pembelajaran Biologi SMA, Danau Teluk Gelam

Abstract

Abstract: The purposes of this study was to find out the information about local material covered local wisdoms, local potentials, and environmental local problems of Muara Enim regency as a requirements to fill the learning sources of Biology course in junior high schools. This study has been conducted in Muara Enim regency and involved five subdistricts that have been choosen based on its topography condition. Ujan Mas and Lawang kidul represented the lowland. Tanjung Agung, Semende darat Tengah and Semende Darat Ulu represented the highland. Descriptive method was applied in this study and the information about local material was found out through observation, interview and related literature. The result of this study showed that there were 15 local materials that has been identified and can be used as the learning sources covered local wisdom, there were people that were accustomed to live in rumah panggung; saving the agriculture outcome in tengkiang; and people habit to keep tebat mandian as a place that used for saving clean water. Meanwhile, for the local potentials, there were freshwater fish cultivation, tree nurseries in PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk; variety plants around Curup Tenang Bedegung waterfall ; fish cultivation in fish seed center; rice field; and waste processing in PT Bukit asam (Persero) Tbk. In addition, for the environmental local problems were air pollutions that caused by rubber production in a rubber factory; burning and producing process of brick; bathing process and domestic waste in the river; vast growing of water hyacinth; the effect of sand and river stone mining; and the effect of coals mining that damage the ecosystem. The significant of this study hopefully can be used as the reference for the teachers doing biology teaching and learning process in junior high school and also can be used for developing the learning material of local material in Muara Enim regency.
