Abstract

The research with the title of the relationship between environmental factors and knowledge with the use of fast food as a contribution to the Medical Biology lecture material at STIK Siti Khadijah Palembang in 2017 has been carried out. This study aims to analyze the relationship between environmental factors and knowledge with fast food use among students of STIK Siti Khadijah Palembang in 2017. This research is a descriptive research with correlation. The approach used is cross sectional. The population of this study was students of the STIK Siti Khadijah Palembang Study Program. To obtain respondent information, use a data collection tool, namely a questionnaire. Primary data is obtained through direct observation, while secondary data is obtained through data taken in the academic section of STIK Siti Khadijah Palembang. Data is processed and analyzed with technical quantitative analysis. Univariate analysis serves to describe the characteristics of each research variable. Bivariate analysis functions to see the relationship between the dependent variable and the independent variable. The results showed that: 1. The frequency distribution of fast food  users has a better value, which is 49 people (58.3%) than students who are not good at using fast food  users, namely 35 people (41.7%), knowledge frequency distribution good has more value, which is 70 people (83.3%) than students who have poor knowledge, as many as 14 people (16.7%), the frequency distribution of environmental factors does not move more, which is 48 people (57.1 %) than 36 students who use move (42.9%). 2. There is a relationship between knowledge with fast food users among STIK students in Health Siti Khadijah Palembang 2017 with a value of ? = 0.013. 3. There is no relationship between environmental factors and fast food  use among STIK (Ners Study Program) students in Siti Khadijah Palembang 2017 with a value of ? = 1,000.Keywords: environmental factors, knowledge, fast food and STIK Siti Khadijah Palembang

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi mencatat menggunakan peta pikiran terhadap retensi siswa pada mata pelajaran Biologi kelas XI SMA Plus Negeri 2 Banyuasin III. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pre-experimental design kategori Intact-Group Comparison. Materi pembelajaran yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah sistem regulasi manusia. Pengambilan data dilakukan di kelas XI IPA 2 dengan jumlah siswa 25 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 1 dengan jumlah siswa 25 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, angket, dan observasi. Data yang dianalisis berupa nilai akhir (retensi jangka pendek dan retensi jangka panjang), respon siswa, dan penilaian peta pikiran. Setelah dianalisis, hasil Uji-t pada retensi jangka pendek retensi jangka panjang, hasil data dukung kuesioner (angket), dan hasil observasi peta pikiran melalui rubrik menggambarkan bahwa ada kaitannya antara tes, angket dan rubrik terhadap peta pikiran dan retensi siswa. Hasil uji korelasi peta pikiran terhadap retensi siswa pada 3 kali pertemuan memperoleh hasil 0,938, 0,953, dan 0,970 dengan interpretasi tinggi karena peta pikiran dapat digunakan untuk melihat retensi siswa dalam pembelajaran. Hasil uji dan data dukung dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi mencatat menggunakan peta pikiran mempunyai pengaruh terhadap retensi siswa pada mata pelajaran Biologi.   Kata kunci: Peta Pikiran, Retensi jangka pendek, Retensi jangka panjang

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian pengembangan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis pendekatan saintifik telah dilakukan untuk materi sistem gerak manusia mata pelajaran Biologi kelas XI SMA. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk LKPD yang valid dan praktis. Metode yang dilakukan adalah metode Development Research (DR) yang mengacu pada model pengembangan Akker (1999). Langkah penelitian dan pengembangan terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu tahap analisis, tahap perancangan dan tahap evaluasi. Tahap evaluasi dibagi menjadi tiga tahap yaitu self evaluation, expert review, one to one dan small group. Penelitian pengembangan ini dibatasi hingga tahap small group. Validasi LKPD dilakukan melalui tahap expert review (ahli isi, ahli penyajian, ahli pendekatan saintifik dan ahli bahasa). Berdasarkan expert review didapat hasil nilai rata-rata yaitu 4,46 yang menunjukkan bahwa LKPD sangat valid. Kepraktisan LKPD dapat diketahui melalui hasil analisis angket peserta didik pada uji coba one to one dan small group. Nilai rata-rata hasil angket kepraktisan pada tahap one to one adalah 3,64 dan tahap small group adalah 4,53 yang menunjukkan bahwa LKPD termasuk kategori praktis dan sangat praktis. Hasil analisis uji validasi ahli dan analisis angket peserta didik menunjukkan bahwa LKPD yang dihasilkan sangat valid dan sangat praktis.   Kata Kunci : LKPD, pendekatan saintifik, sistem gerak

Abstract

The teacher acts as a facilitator in improving critical thinking skills through student-centered learning. This descriptive study aims to explain the critical thinking skills of high school students in biology learning. The subjects of the study were students of SMA Negeri 4 Barabai class XI IPA 2 academic year 2016/2017 amounted to 26 people. This research was conducted February - April 2017 in SMA Negeri 4 Barabai. Types of data obtained in this study include a) Data communication ability, b) Data ability to formulate questions. Data were collected through observations and categorized by rubric 4 (excellent), 3 (good), 2 (enough) and 1 (less). The results obtained a) the ability to communicate increased (57%, 73%, 84%), b) the same is also found in the ability to formulate questions (65%, 76%, 88%).Keywords: The ability to think critically, communicate, formulate questions.

Abstract

Abstract: This atudy aimed at finding out the effect of concept attainment model on students’ achievement of fungi. This research using pre experimental method with one group pre test post test design at class X.B SMA Negeri 2 Indralaya Utara (South Sumatera, Indonesia) academic year 2015/2016. The sample of the study was taken using simple random sampling. Data collected by the method of testing for learning achievement, by the method of observation for student activities and attitudes, and by the method of the questionnare for student responses of the implementation of the model of teaching. Activities, attitudes, and responses data are the supporting data in the study. The collected data was analyzed using t-test and descriptive statistic. Results showed there is significant effect of concept attainment model on students’ achievement (n-gain) 0,74 with categorized into high. The mean score of the students’ activities (visual, motoric, writing, and oral activities) is 88,40, categorized into active. The mean score of the students’ attitudes (honest, responsible, cooperation, tolerance, confidence, and discipline attitudes) is 97,91, categorized into excellent. The mean score of the students’ response is 88,17, categorized into good. Keywords : Concept Attainment Model, Learning Achievement, Activities, Attitude, Responses, and Fungi.

Abstract

 Research of the power consumption of migratory locust (Locusta migratoria manilensis Meyen) to the corn crop (Zea mays L.) has been done. This research was aimed to find out the information the power consumption of migratory locust (Locusta migratoria manilensis Meyen) with difference number of individuals and eating of time. This research used experimental method with factorial completely rendomized design which consists of two factor was number of individuals (A), 1 migratory locust (A1), 15 migratory locust (A2), 30 migratory locust (A3) and eating of time, morning (B1), afternoon (B2), and evening (B3), with 9 combination of treatment which repeated three times. The data analyzed by ANAVA and BNT test. The result showed that was significant effect the power consumption of migratory locust on some parameter of observation that is difference of body weight and leaf area eaten. The interaction between the number of individuals and eating of time significantly effect the parameter of leaf area eaten, but no significant effect on the parameter of the difference in body weight. The treatment of individual number of 30 head and the evening (A3B3) had a real effect the power consumption of migratory locust on on all parameters. The information of this study hopefully can be an alternative of contextual learning in Biology lesson on Junior High School grade eight, Semester 2 on Basic Competence 3.7 and Basic Competence 4.7 about interaction of living organisms with their environment.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah sikap berpengaruh langsung terhadap  kemampuan kognitif mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Biologi umum. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode survei dengan desain penelitian ex-post-fakto. Analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik dengan menggunakan program SPPS 22 for windows. Uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa Kelas 1B semester 1 TA 2014/2015. Adapun hasil penelitian berupa persamaan regresi linier adalah Ŷ = -3.853 + 1.036 X. Nilai koefisien korelasi (rxy) = 0.482 dan Fhitung (Fchange) = 5.458 dengan p-value = 0.031 < 0.05. Nilai R Square = 0.233 yang mengandung makna bahwa 23.3% variasi kemampuan kognitif dapat dijelaskan oleh sikap siswa. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini bahwa ada pengaruh sikap terhadap kemampuan kognitif mahasiswa pada mata kuliah biologi umum.   Kata kunci: Sikap, Kemampunan Kognitif, Biologi.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian mengenai ampas kelapa sebagai campuran media tanam untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan jamur tiram telah dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ampas kelapa dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan jamur tiram (Pleurotus ostreatus). Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap, terdiri dari empat perlakuan dan enam ulangan. Perlakuan berupa takaran  yang terdiri dari 0, 10, 15, dan 20 g. Data dianalisis dengan uji sidik ragam dan BJND. Hasil penelitian didapatkan rata-rata pertumbuhan panjang stipe, jumlah, dan berat basah basidiokarp paling rendah pada takaran 0 g dan paling tinggi pada takaran 20 g, sedangkan pada parameter diameter pileus basidiokarp didapatkan rata-rata diameter paling rendah pada takaran 20 g dan rata-rata paling tinggi pada takaran 15 g. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ampas kelapa pada media tanam berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap pertumbuhan panjang stipe dan berat basah basidiokarp, berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah basidiokarp, dan berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap pertumbuhan diameter pileus basidiokarp. Pemberian ampas kelapa sebanyak 20 g (P3) memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan panjang stipe, pemberian ampas kelapa sebanyak 15 g (P2) memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan jumlah dan berat basah basidiokarp. Informasi hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi alternatif contoh kontekstual pada pembelajaran Biologi Kelas X pada Kompetensi Dasar 4.10 Memecahkan masalah lingkungan dengan membuat desain produk daur ulang limbah dan upaya pelestarian lingkungan.   Kata kunci: ampas kelapa, Pleurotus ostreatus, pertumbuhan jamur

Abstract

Abstract: A study concerning the teratogenic effect of Physalis minima Linn. on fetal mice (Mus musculus). Experiment with completely randomized design consisting 4 treatments and 5 replayments was applied. The treatments consisted control, P1 dose (1,4 mg/0,1 ml Tween 20/10 g weight), P2 dose (2,8 mg/0,1 ml Tween 20/10 g weight), and P3 dose (5,6 mg/0,1 ml Tween 20/10 g weight). Physalis minima Linn.extract solution was given by gevage on gestation day at the 9th until 17th. Day 18th treatment, the mice were weighed, was kelled by neck dislocation, and then preparations fetal skeleton was made. Data were analiyzed by Anova and Duncen test. Extract of Physalis minima Linn. lead to decrease fetal weight and delayed supraocciptal, cervical vertebrae bodies, sakrokaudal vertebrae arches, sternebrae, and posterior intermediet phalanges ossification. It can be concluded that Physalis minima Linn. extract have teratogenic effect on mice fetal. Key words : mice fetal, Physalis minima Linn., teratogenic effect

Abstract

This research aims to describe the understanding, implementation and difficulties faced by Biology teachers of State Senior High School in Muara Enim district about character education. The research subjects consisted of three biology teachers which determined by purposive sampling technique. Data collection using interview techniques, audiovisual materials and documents it is analyzed by transcription, coding and verification of data. The results showed by three aspects that are: 1) Understanding Biology teacher of State Senior High School in Muara Enim Regency about character education is an effort to instill character through habituation and exemplary to form a good attitude of students. Character education consists of 18 values. Biology teacher plans character education by identifying the value of character education that will be implanted. Learning implementation conducted according to the lesson plan. Then, to measure student’s character abilities the teacher using character measurement instrument sheet with a character assessment section. 2) Implementation of character education by Biology teachers of State Senior High School in Muara Enim Regency consist of planning and implementation aspect. Values designed and implemented by teachers Biology consists of discipline, curiosity, joy of reading, and responsibility. Value that is designed but not implemented is discipline, creative value, curiosity value, and joy of reading. Value that is not designed but implemented is discipline, hard work, joy of reading, and responsibility. General, Biology teachers carry out the value of character education through the use of words and have not utilized the learning materials to develop the value. 3) The difficulties encountered that is facing by Biology teachers include identifying the value of character education and performing individual character assessments.Keywords : Implementation, Character Education, Biology Teacher
