Abstract

This research is a class action research (Classroom Action Research) aimed at improving the learning outcomes of students of student mathematics VIIIA MTs Darul I'tisham Embo Tamalatea subdistrict of Jeneponto district through the application of the Accelarated method Learning for the 21st Century. The subject of research is 33 students of the class VIIIA MTs Darul I'tisham Embo Tamalatea Sub-district of Jeneponto District lesson 2018/2019.Studies have been conducted in two cycles. Each cycle is carried out as many as three meetings including the test end of the cycles. Data retrieval is carried out using observations and test descriptions. The Data obtained is analyzed using quantitative analysis and descriptive statistics.The results showed that student learning results of VIIIA MTs Darul I'tisham Embo Sub-district of Jeneponto subdistrict can be upgraded through the implementation of the method of Accelarated Learning for the 21st Century with a percentage of 87.89%. These results are categorized as high with the average value of student learning outcomes of 72.67. The observation shows the increasing frequency of students ' attendance and the activation of students in following the learning process. Thus, the implementation of the method of Accelarated Learning for the 21st Century can improve the learning outcomes of the class of VIIIA MTs Darul I'tisham Embo in Tamalatea Sub-district of Jeneponto.

Abstract

Prospective math teachers should be able to master basic skills in doing math problems. One of the skills in doing mathematics is the ability to solve math problems. However, in fact students of Mathematics Education Study Program of Pekalongan University Semester 4 as math teacher candidate is still lacking in problem solving ability. Besides iu, teaching materials that contain mathematical problem solving strategies are also not available so in learning the problem-solving ability is still lacking.In this study developed a problem-based mathematics learning module in which contains problem-solving strategies. This research aims to: 1) acquire and describe modules that fit the needs of the 4th semester students of Mathematics Education, 2) produce mathematical problem solving modules, 3) produce appropriate problem-based math learning modules and 4) produce effective modules to improve capability mathematical problem solving on semester 4 students. This development research using the development model Thiagarajan et al. The steps undertaken in this research and development are defining, designing and developing.Based on the result of the research, the description and design of the module according to the problems of the students of Mathematics semester 4. Meanwhile, the total aspect of all validator is 4.175. According to the validation criteria makka can be concluded that the developed learning module included in the category valid. This means that the developed learning media is valid. Meanwhile, based on the test in the afternoon class, obtained some input which is then refined to then be used in trials in the morning class students. Based on pre test and post test results, both data were analyzed using wilcoxon test yielding Zobs of -3.399. Based on the right-side test criteria, the result of the decision is that the average post test score is higher than the average pre test value. This means that the modules are developed effectively for use in Mathematics Education students semester 4.

Abstract

Learning activities at SMK Muhammadiyah Kesesi are still less use of instructional media, teachers still use the available package books in school and power point at the time of learning so that students feel bored. This research develops electronic teaching materials based on flipbook maker linear class X material program at SMK Muhammadiyah Kesesi. The purpose of this research is to know the validity and the practicability of the developed electronic materials. The research conducted using the Borg & Gall development model included in Putra (2012:120-121). The steps of the research are: 1) research and data collection; 2) development of initial product type / shape; 3) initial field trials; 4) field implementation test; 5) product improvement. There are 8 validator in this research and there are 28 students as respondent. Based on the research results obtained the average total criteria from the validator V a  4, 1. According to the validation criteria, it can be conclud that the electronic teaching materials using kvisoft flipbook maker application on the material linear, class X SMK is said to be valid. While the calculation of the value of the practicality of electronic materials using kvisoft flipbook maker application on material linear class X SMK obtained from the student response questionnaire is 85,9 %. It means, the developed electronic teaching material is declared to be practical. Therefore, it can be concluded that the electronic teaching materials using kvisoft flipbook maker application on material linear class X SMK is suitable to use as one of the learning resources.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difficulties and causal factors in solving questions about the HOTS of junior high school students in terms of gender. This research is a type of descriptive research with the approach used is a qualitative approach. This research was carried out in state junior high school 1 Pogalan Trenggalek. The research subjects were 7 students in grade VII F. The instrument used is a learning implementation plan, test questions, and observation sheets. The results of the analysis indicate that the difficulties experienced by students in completing questions about HOTS indicate that male students have difficulty in the analysis and evaluation stage while female students have difficulty in the stage of evaluation and creating. As for the factors that cause difficulties experienced by students are students are not accustomed to solving questions related to the material, students are less interested in the material, an students tend to depend on the help of the teacher.

Abstract

One of the goals of mathematics learning is that students are expected to have good understanding mathematics concept abilities. The application of discovery learning model in the process of learning mathematics is one of the learning modelsthat can improve students understanding of mathematics concepts. The learning process uses the discovey learning model so that students can find the concepts of the material being studied and can conclude their own concepts that have been found based on their ability to understand. This research aims to determine that: (1) students understand the mathematics concepts of discovery learning model in effective;(2) students understand the mathematics concepts of conventional learning model in effevtive; (3) the effectiveness of discovery learning model and conventional learning for understanding mathematics concepts, and to know in 11th Senior High School at SMA N 1 Gamping. This type of research is an experimental quasi experiment with research design Posttest Only Control Design. The population in this study were students of class XI IPS SMA N 1 Gamping. The sample in this study was class XI IPS 1 as an experimental class and class XI IPS 2 as a control class. The instrument used in the study was the observation sheet of the implementation of learning and the students understanding mathematics concepts test questions. Analysis of the data used is the t-test and the prerequisite test used are normality and homogeneity test. The result showed that using discovery learning model and conventional learning model were effective that students understand the mathematics concepts, and learning using discovery learning model was more effective than conventional learning model when viewed from students understand the mathematics concepts.

Abstract

The rapid progress of science and technology in the world of education underlies the existence of learning by utilizing Information Technology as a learning medium, one of which is known by the term web-based learning. The development of instructional media using Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 application with inquiry method in the tangents of circle alliance aims to overcome the problems in the learning process in SMP Muhammadiyah Pekajangan which still use simple learning media. This development research uses the Borg & Gall development model. The stages are research and data collection, product design, product validation, product trial and product improvement. The purpose of this study is to develop a quality learning media by testing the validity and validity of the learning media. Based on the result of the research, the average of total aspect from all validator 4.7. While the calculation of the value of practicality of learning media from questionnaire response obtained percentage of 85.19%. According to the criteria of validity and the criteria of practicality it can be concluded that the learning media developed valid and practical.

Abstract

Mathematic communication skills is one of the critical indicator in learning and evaluation of mathematic lesson. But in reality, not all tests accepted by students can upgrade their mathematic communication skills. Meanwhile based on Regulation from National Education Minister Number 22 Year of 2006 it is mentioned that one of the goals of mathematic learning is for students have capability to communicate ideas with symbols, tables, charts, and any other media to clarify the conditions or problems. Based on that it is necessary to identify mathematic communication skills indicator on mathematic tests. Moreover on the mathematic USBN, where the results determine the students’s final score. The mathematic communication skills indicator which would be identified were: 1) connects the real things, picture and charts to the mathematic ideas, 2) explains ideas, situations and mathematic relations with speech or texts with real things, pictures, graphs and algebra, 3) listens, discusses and writes about mathematics, 4) states daily activity in mathematic languace, 5) reads with understanding about written mathematic presentation, 6) makes mathematic statement which is relevant with problem situation, and 7) makes conjectures, arguments, determines definition and generalisation. In here the mathematic communication skills that would be analyzed was students capability to solve contextual problems. On Mathematic .USBN for Elementary School in the year 2018/2019 there were 35 problems, where 30 problems were multiple choice and 5 were essay. Abstract

Problems that want to be investigated in this research is any props which can be used for opportunity material specially look for opportunity an event? While this study aims to introduce the type of mathematical props to teach the material opportunities, especially to look for opportunities an incident. This research includes qualitative descriptive research, with research subject props generated by students of Mathematics Education Study Program. Data collection methods used were interview method and documentation method. The conclusions in this study are mathematical props which are made to look for chance of an occurrence such as: chance round, stork full color, mathematical rainbow ball, fugitive math / color wheel, probability glass, rotating board, permutation hanger, almanac binary, and  hanging. The props are used and simplify the students' concepts in studying the probability of an event, in which the probability formula of an event is P(A)=n(A)/n(S).

Abstract

The objectivives of this research were to investigate the influence of learning model CUPs used handouts of the ability of understanding the concept in terms of learning style in SMK N  3 Pekalongan. This is a quantitative research with the quasi experiment. Its population was all of the students of X TT SMK N 3 Pekalongan consisting of 6 class. The samples of the research were taken by using the cluster random sampling.The result of this research are: 1). CUPs Learning model used handouts as a media  produced the ability of understanding the concept better than learning model directly. 2). The students with visual learning style is ability to create understanding comprehension concept rather than the students with auditory and kinesthetic learning style, 3). The students with a kinesthetic learning style have the same ability to create concept understanding comprehension is the same used CUPs or direct learning, the students with a visual learning style produced a better ability in learning CUPs than direct learning, and students with the auditory ability produced a better understanding in learning CUPs than learning directly. 4). In learning model CUPs used handouts as a media, the ability of understanding the concept of students in a study visual as good as auditory, the ability of understanding the concept of students with study visual style and auditory better than kinesthetic. 5) in direct learning model, the ability of understanding the concept of students who have style visual and auditory style are the same, the ability of understanding the concept of students learn auditory as good as kinesthetic, and the ability of understanding the concept of students in a study visual better than kinesthetic.

Abstract

Analysis of student responses in this study aims to determine the quality of Edmodo-based learning media products that have been developed. The results obtained on average show 81% of this indicates a positive response from students. The most prominent of the six indicators used are happy and interesting. The statement of happy indicator that is learning with learning media based on Edmodo make student happy to reach 88%. While the interesting indicator states Edmodo-based learning media is new in the lecture.
