Abstract

Indonesia has a very diverse diversity of traditions, so it becomes a potential asset to be explored and developed. One of the potentials of this nation can be used as a source of inspiration or ideas in creating musical compositions. Each region in Indonesia has its own traditions, such as one of the oral traditions of the people of Pulau Temian, Kabupateb Tebo, provinsi Jambi. In this area there is a story called "Pik-Pik-Numpang-Tiduk", which is a lesson about modesty that is found in a meeting between men and women. "Pik-Pik-Numpang-Tiduk" revolves around the procedures for male lovers visiting the woman's house and how customary values and kindness are maintained. This activity is the basic foundation for creating a rhythm of a motive of the star, which is called the motive of a picnic star overlapping. This motif was then developed in accordance with the contents of the story "Pik-Pik-Numpang-Tiduk". and worked on a composition of orchestral music. The creation of this musical composition through the stages of identification of musical elements, exploration of musical ideas, and experimentation on intervals found in the habits of local villagers, so that it becomes a new color in the form of orchestral music compositions that have the characteristic of one archipelago and represents a description of the story of Pik-Pik Numpang Tiduk from the village of Pulau Temiang.Keywords: Pik-Pik’ Numpang Tiduk, Kelintang

Abstract

Tulisan ini menjelaskan fenomena munculnya lagulagu Minang modern yang bertema bencana ini sebagai karya dari penciptanya dan juga konten-konten yang dimuat dalam lirik lagu tersebut. Untuk itu, metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan datanya adalah melalui transkripsi dan pencatatan syair lagulagu Minang yang bertema bencana untuk kemudian dianalisis dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra serta analisis konten. Berdasarkan analisis, lirik lagu Minang yang bertema bencana merupakan salah satu bentuk luapan perasaan dan pandangan pengarang terhadap bencana. Terutama sekali sebagai bagian dari masyarakat yang terdampak secara langsung. Ada pun muatan yang terdapat dalam lirik lagu tersebut antara lain gambaran peristiwa, waktu, serta pesan terhadap masyarakat pendengar atau penikmat lagu.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the deconstructive tendency of acting in the performances of Yusril's Under the Volcano works / director. The acting device of an actor also develops according to the situation of society and culture. Actors in postmodern culture no   longer analyze the soul, or present patterns of human behavior as Stanislavsky suggested. The actor explores his mental state through the postmodern aesthetic idioms that tend to be artificial, a culture that worships form. In the Under the Volcano theater performance, the concretization process of actor work was born through Minangkabau traditional arts. The research methods used in this study are: Observation, documents, interviews and data analysis. The results of this study indicate that, in the concrete process of work in postmodern culture there are aesthetic idioms built through silek, dendang, poetry and poetry texts which are then implemented in the form of acting that emphasizes the use of gestural acting, prescribes verbality and tends to be acrobatic.  Keywords: postmodern aesthetics, acting, Under the Volcano

Abstract

Kearifan lokal bagian dari budaya merupakan segala bentuk kebijaksanaan yang didasari oleh nilai-nilai kebaikan yang dipercaya, diterapkan dan senantiasa dijaga dalam kurun waktu yang cukup lama secara turun temurun oleh sekelompok orang dalam suatu wilayah tertentu. Salah satu bentuk kearifan lokal yang dapat diwariskan dari generasi ke generasi melalui cerita dari mulut ke mulut yang dikenal dengan folklore atau tradisi lisan, yaitu pepatah-petitih yang dituturkan oleh para leluhur kita. Pepatah-petitih merupakan suatu cara orangtua di zaman dahulu untuk memberikan nasihat  atau petuah yang terkandung nilai-nilai falsafah kehidupan. Pada dasarnya, setiap ungkapan nasihat orangtua duhulu ditujukan untuk kebaikan alam, kehidupan masyarakat, terutama pada keluarga untuk mengendalikan sikap dan tingkah laku. Setiap daerah memiliki tradisi lisan sebagai bentuk pola pikir dalam ungkapan pepatah-petitih dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hal ini dikarenakan bahwa pepatah-petitih sebagai budaya tradisi lisan yang mngandung pandangan-pandangan atau pedoman hidup yan baik dalam kehidupan sosial. Tradisi budaya atau tradisi lisan di masa lampau terkadang tidak dapat dihadirkan pada masa kini karena mengalami transformasi yang mungkin terkesan “mati suri” karena tidak dapat hidup pada komunitasnya. Namun, secara temporal, nilai-nilai (value) dan normanya masih dijadikan sebagai memori kolektif di masa lalu dan masa sekarang sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mendidik generasi penerus dalam memperkuat identitas karakter mereka. Adapun salah satu daerah yang menjadi sasaran penelitian adalah masyarakat Tengger yang terletak di Jawa Timur. Masyarakat Tengger dikenal memiliki kearifan lokal yang bermuatan positif, harmonis, adaptif, dan religious sehingga proses internalisasi dan sosialisasi nilai-nilai budaya adat masyarakat berjalan sangat baik. Kearifan tersebut tidak hanya mengacu pada keyakinan terhadap agama tetapi juga pada kekuatan dan kepercayaan terhadap petuah leluhur, yaitu berupa ungkapan pepatah-petitih yang tidak hanya sebagai living memories tetapi juga sebagai living traditions terhadap generasinya. Bagi masyarakat Tengger, kepercayaan terhadap sesuatu yang magis masih diyakini hingga sekarang sedangkan anggapan terhadap ungkapan pepatah-petitih tentunya dapat diidentifikasikan dengan baik. Hal ini dianggap penting karena mengingat potensi tradisi lisan hampir terabaikan bahkan ada anggapan bahwa suatu yang bersumber dari kelisanan hanya menjadi kenangan belaka. Kata-kata kunci: kearifan lokal, budaya pepatah-petitih, masyarakat Tengger

Abstract

The objectives of this study were firstly to discrabe the dialect similarities and differences of Oganese language of Tangsi Lontar village in pengandonan district and Banjar Sari in Semidang Aji district in case of phonology and lexicology. Secondly, this intralingual matching study also described  the factors beyond those similarities and differences. The result af the study showed that there more differences than similarities between Oganese language of Tangsi Lontar and Banjar Sari. There were 106 (53%) different and 94 (47%) similart words out of 200 words analyzed by researchers. From those 106 different words, 52 words were different in terms of lexicon and 54 words were different in terms of phoneme. The differences of phoneme occured in 48 changes of vowel sound, 3 word were different in consonant, and 3 words were different in vowel and consonant phonemes. In addition, geographical area, interaction, and society environment were the factors beyond those similarities and differences. In sum, Oganese language of Tangsi Lontar and Banjar Sari was the same but they had different dialect. Keywords: study, comparative, Ogan language

Abstract

Rice fields in urban areas are getting narrower and made rice field activities are decreasing which of course will result in the reduced use of lexicons in this field. Therefore, it is needed to conduct a reseach on the lexicon of rice fields in Padang city. This article discusses the lexicons of rice fields used by people in Padang. This research is conducted qualitatively. Data is collected by referring method and analyzed by referential equivalent method. Then, it is presented in an informal method. From the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the rice lexicons found can be grouped into four, namely process lexicons, tools, flora, and fauna which are, mambajak , manyiang, manyikek, mananam,, etc. This lexicon must be inventoried so that the lexicon inheritance can be carried out as the local wisdom of the lexicon can be maintained for the next generation. Abstract

In S1 Japanese Literature Study Program at the universities in Indonesia today, in addition to the general language competence, there are 3 main competencies namely linguistics, literature, and culture. The curriculum is then compiled with various lesson compositions to support these 3 competencies. Based on the research conducted in 2016-2017, the lessons for students in years 1 and 2 are generally focused on improving language skills. At the next level, the students are begun to be directed to the 3 fields mentioned earlier so that the final task in form of the thesis will adjust to the selected field of competencies. Teaching the literature of Japan on S1 Japanese Literature Study Program in Indonesia can be said to have not been well developed compared to the teaching of language or linguistic fields. The same thing happened with the studies that took the object of Japanese literature. Based on the results of the study, the main obstacle is the absence of Magister or doctoral program for this field in Indonesia so that the number of teachers with Japanese Literature background is still minimal when compared to the field of language education or Japanese Linguistics. In 2017, Kemristek DIKTI issued Permenristekdikti No 15 of 2017 concerning the adjustment of study program name according to the clusters of knowledge that give effect to S1 Japanese Literature Study Program throughout Indonesia. There are 4 choices, namely Japanese Language, Japanese Language and Culture, Japanese Literature, and Japanese Studies. This change made Study Program make several changes in accordance with the name while still prioritizing on the work prospects of graduates after graduation. This change 57 has become the major challenge for the development of Japanese Literature teaching and research in Indonesia. This paper aims to give an overview of Japanese Literature teaching at the university and the form of changes that have occurred in the current Japanese Literature teaching curriculum at the universities in Indonesia.
