Abstract

In S1 Japanese Literature Study Program at the universities in Indonesia today, in addition to the general language competence, there are 3 main competencies namely linguistics, literature, and culture. The curriculum is then compiled with various lesson compositions to support these 3 competencies. Based on the research conducted in 2016-2017, the lessons for students in years 1 and 2 are generally focused on improving language skills. At the next level, the students are begun to be directed to the 3 fields mentioned earlier so that the final task in form of the thesis will adjust to the selected field of competencies. Teaching the literature of Japan on S1 Japanese Literature Study Program in Indonesia can be said to have not been well developed compared to the teaching of language or linguistic fields. The same thing happened with the studies that took the object of Japanese literature. Based on the results of the study, the main obstacle is the absence of Magister or doctoral program for this field in Indonesia so that the number of teachers with Japanese Literature background is still minimal when compared to the field of language education or Japanese Linguistics. In 2017, Kemristek DIKTI issued Permenristekdikti No 15 of 2017 concerning the adjustment of study program name according to the clusters of knowledge that give effect to S1 Japanese Literature Study Program throughout Indonesia. There are 4 choices, namely Japanese Language, Japanese Language and Culture, Japanese Literature, and Japanese Studies. This change made Study Program make several changes in accordance with the name while still prioritizing on the work prospects of graduates after graduation. This change 57 has become the major challenge for the development of Japanese Literature teaching and research in Indonesia. This paper aims to give an overview of Japanese Literature teaching at the university and the form of changes that have occurred in the current Japanese Literature teaching curriculum at the universities in Indonesia. Abstract

Utterance in the literature usually contained metaphor. Metaphor in the novel is an expression of the author in creating a sense of imagination through the medium of language. This paper aims to determine the creation of the metaphor physical description of the heroine in the novel Noruwei No Mori created by Haruki Murakami. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method that used the theory of conceptual metaphor found by Lakoff and Johnson (1980). Based on data analysis, there are any interaction or Japanese society with nature so that metaphors can be found in the novel Noruwei No Mori showed a constantly interaction between the Japanese people with their both environment physical and cultural. Keyword: conceptual metaphor, heroin, novel, Norwei no MoriABSTRAK Dalam karya sastra, lazim ditemukan ungkapan yang mengadung metafora. Metafora dalam novel merupakan ekspresi perasaan pengarang dalam mewujudkan imajinasinya melalui media bahasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pembentukan metafora deskripsi fisik tokoh wanita pada novel Noruwei No Mori karya Haruki Murakami. Metode penelitian yang dipakai dalam penelitian adalah metode kualitatif dengan teori yang digunakan adalah teori metafora konseptual yang dikemukan Lakoff dan Johnson (1980). Berdasarkan analisis data, diketahui adanya interaksi atau kedekatan masyarakat Jepang dengan alam sehingga metafora yang muncul dalam novel Noruwei No Mori memperlihatkan interaksi terus-menerus antara masyarakat Jepang dengan lingkungannya, baik fisik maupun kultural.   Kata kunci : metafora konseptual, fisik, tokoh wanita, novel, Noruwei No Mori

Abstract

In this study, we discussed work field oriented course on Japanese Department’s curriculum in Indonesia. The method used is qualitative method with research data are curriculums’ used on several Japanese Departments in Indonesia such as Japanese Department of Universitas Andalas, Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Padjadjaran, Universitas Gajah Mada, Universitas Brawijaya, Universitas Hasanuddin, Universitas Udayana. The purpose of this research was to discuss and explain the course in some Japanese Department that could be applied directly in the work field. Work field oriented course on Japanese Department were described and then analyzed the relevance and benefits for the students in the work field. The results showed that there were similarities in work field oriented course in some Japanese Departments although the name/label of the course was slightly different. This proves all Japanese Departments had same mission to produce graduates who was not only master in Japanese language but also had other skills that could be used actively wherever they are. Key words: work field, course, curriculum, Japanese Department, Indonesia

Abstract

This article discusses the relevance between the image and the speech in Japanese. This study is a qualitative research that discusses and explains the relevance between the image and the speech in strip comic. The aims of this research to analyze the relevance between the image and the speech that triggered the formation of story in strip comic. The data of this study are taken from “Shin Kobochan” strip comic by Masashi Ueda volume 28, 29 and 30, published in 2014 by Houbunsha. The theories employed in this study are Sperber and Wilson’s relevance theory, which aims to see the relevance between the speech and the images in the form of humor utterances, Danesi and Peron’s iconicity theory, Pierce’s theory of semiosis process, which aim to interpret the images and Grice’s implicatures theory which aims to reveal the implicit meaning of the utterances. The results show that Images showing the speaker and hearer performing certain activity are required in the process of understanding the whole humor, so that the communicated meaning and the message can be found. Keywords: relevance, image, utterance, icons, and semiosis

Abstract

Kepatuhan pada prinsip-prinsip kerja sama Grice dalam berkomunikasi akan menyebabkan komunikasi berjalan efisien. Iklan merupakan salah satu bentuk mengkomunikasikan produk atau jasa. Bahasa iklan dapat menciptakan efek persuasif yang kuat dengan melakukan pelanggaran terhadap maksim-maksim pada prinsip-prinsip kerja sama Grice. Pada makalah ini, dipaparkan pelanggaran prinsip-prinsip kerja sama pada iklan Toyota versi Doraemon-Nobita BBQ dan tujuan pembuat iklan melakukan pelanggaran maksim-maksim tersebut. Penelitian ini tergolong ke dalam penelitian yang bersifat non-eksperimental menggunakan ancangan kualitatif dengan analisis heuristik. Hasil penelitian berupa (1) ditemukan pelanggaran prinsip-prinsip kerja sama, (2) tujuan pelanggaran prinsip-prinsip kerja sama meliputi: agar tuturan terdengar santun, menarik simpati, menarik perhatian, dan minat penonton/pembaca.

Abstract

Japanese comics or manga have caught the world’s attention in recent years. It conveys stories through words and images in a specific order resulting in beautiful works. Now, manga is translated into various languages in the world, including Indonesian. The following study entailed a comparative analysis of the manga Meitantei Conan into Indonesia, primarily concentrating on: the format, for example, the arrangement of pages, lettering, and typography, what was translated what was not. In translating Japanese manga into Indonesian, it was found that there were similarities (retained elements) and differences (adjusted elements). We can found similarities between the original Japanese version and the Indonesian translated version of manga in the writing composition on the chapter title and onomatopoeia. Besides, there are also similarities in cultural terms because the translator maintains terms in Japanese as a translation strategy. The main difference between Original Japanese comics and the Indonesian translated version is the binding system of using, the type of font, and the use of Indonesian cultural elements so that the dialogue of the story characters is more communicative and easy to understand.

Abstract

Pemerintah pada saat ini banyak mennganjurkan kepada seluruh masyarakat untukmeningkatkan kebersihan dalam rangka menggalakkan daerah objek wisata. Daerah yang telahmenjadi objek wisata dikembangkan menjadi lebih baik dengan menggiatkan ekowisata danuntuk daerah yang berpotensi menjadi daerah wisata mulai dilirik untuk dijadikan daerahagrowisata, Ekowisata atau ecotourism adalah wisata yang berwawasan lingkungan denganmengajak wisatawan untuk menjaga keasrian lingkungan dengan tidak merusak sepertimembuang sampah pada tempatnya, tidak membunuh binatang, tidak merusak tanamanataupun mencoret-coret lokasi wisata. Pengunjung juga diajak untuk menyatu dengan alam danmenikmati keasrian alam tanpa banyak sentuhan teknologi yang merusak ataupun menguranginilai budaya setempat. Wisatawan juga diajak untuk mengenal budaya dan nilainilai yangdianut oleh masyarakat sekitar daerah wisata (studi pariwisata.com). Sementara, agrowisatamenurut KBBI adalah wisata yang sasarannya adalah pertanian (perkebunan, kehutanan dansebagainya).

Abstract

Shodou is a traditional art form in writing kanji characters expressively and creatively. Japanese writing often used to practice Shodou is Kanji, which cannot separate from Japanese. In learning Japanese, we can used Shodou as a way to improve the ability of students, especially vocabulary mastery through Kanji writing. Therefore, Shodou needs to be mastered by Japanese language teachers. Shodou's training conducted by using lecture and training methods for Japanese MGMP teachers of senior high school in West Sumatra. The trainees were enthusiastic about participating in this Shodou training because they also gained knowledge about the benefits of Shodou in learning Japanese. The benefits of Shodou in learning Japanese include increasing patience, increasing concentration, increasing harmony, and improving memory.

Abstract

Origami is one of the arts in folding paper from Japan. Through this origami workshop, not only adults, even the children, could increase their imagination and creativity in the early years. Based on this reason, Japanese Department Universitas Andalas carried out the Origami workshop to the children in the PAUD Jannatul Nai'em Sungai Buluh. This workshop was a part of community service as the lecturer of the University. The workshop activity provided three sessions. The first session was to give an introduction about origami for understanding, history, types, and benefits of origami. The second session was training on making origami in various forms. Then the last session was evaluation, which aims to confirm whether the children could absorb the material well and whether the children could work on the process of making origami on their own. This activity was very beneficial for children in improving their motoric skills. Origami is an alternative skill game where the skill games begin to abandon due to the presence of a smartphone and other digital gadgets.

Abstract

Salah satu pemicu ditulisnya topik ini adalah berkembangnya teknologi yang bisa digunakan dalam pengajaran bahasa Jepang. Pembelajar bahasa Jepang dapat menggunakan web media untuk mempelajari bahasa Jepang. Tetapi permasalahannya adalah kurangnya pengetahuan pembelajar dalam penggunaan media ini. Salah satu hal yang dirasa sulit oleh guru-guru bahasa Jepang adalah bagaimana meningkatkan kemampuan kosakata atau disebut goi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jepang. Makalah ini di fokuskan pada pembelajar bahasa Jepang yang ditujukan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pengajar bahasa Jepang khususnya guru-guru yang tergabung dalam Majelis Guru Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Jepang Sumatera Barat. Guru-guru bahasa Jepang diperkenalkan Portal Nihongo e-na, portal ini merupakan kumpulan web-web bahasa Jepang yang dapat dipilih levelnya sesuai dengan kemampuan kosakata pembelajar. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kosakata guru-guru juga dibekali bahan-bahan pembelajaran Goi terutama untuk menghadapi ujian kemampuan Bahasa Jepang. Cara belajar yang menarik dengan memanfaatkan web media akan meningkatkan motivasi pembelajar bahasa Jepang.
