Abstract

The research aimed to see whether SAVI learning approach is better than a normal class in improving students critical mathematical thinking skills due to number theory lectures of mathematics. This research used a quantitative research approach with experimental method in the form of quasi-experiment. The population of this research was all the fourth semester of mathematics department students of Malikussaleh University. The sampling used was a purposive sampling that consisted of students in class A1 and A2. The research design used a non -equivalent control group design. The instrument used in this research was a set of questionnaire of critical thinking that had been validated by several validators. Then, the analysis of the improvement score of students critical mathematical skills used a normalized gain data which shows the improvement of students score classification compared to the ideal maximum score. However, the n-gain score data of students critical mathematical skills of control class was not normally distributed. so a non-parametric test was conducted, namely the Mann Whitney U Test. Form Test results, the Asymp. Sig. (1-tailed) value was obtined around 0.008 < α = 0,05. This shows that H0 is rejected.Hence, it means that the improvement of students critical mathematical skills of experimental class is significantly better than a control class. Thus, it is also proven by the hypothesis that applying SAVI approach in learning is better than a normal class without any treatment in improving students critical mathematical thinking skills.

Abstract

Elementary school-age children are very active so they prefer to play. Before starting the learning activities, the teacher designs a learning model that is interspersed with games so that the child can receive the material well and is not easily bored during the learning process. In other words, the activities carried out by children are more directed to the activities of playing and moving. One game that is loved and often played by children is hunting animals and baseball. The purpose of this study is to analyze: (1) studying and analyzing the effect of the application of animal hunting game learning models on locomotor and manipulative motion abilities. (2) to study and analyze the effect of the application of baseball game learning models to increase locomotor and manipulative motion skills. (3) to find out, study and analyze the effect of learning based on game hunting animals and baseball to increase locomotor and manipulative mobility. This type of research used in this study is quantitative with a research design using a two-group pre-test post-test design, with data analysis using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The results showed: (1) there was an effect of the application of animal hunting games to locomotor and manipulative mobility. (2) there is an effect of the application of baseball games on locomotor and manipulative motion abilities. (3) in an animal hunting game, the locomotor base motion has an increase of 2.17 and manipulative motion has an increase of 5.1. In a baseball game, the locomotor base motion has an increase of 1.5 and manipulative base motion has an increase of 3.77. Based on the above analysis, it can be concluded that there is an increase in locomotor and manipulative movement abilities for each group after being given a game. Also, there are differences in influence between the animal hunting group and the baseball group as seen from the increase in locomotor motion through independent sample t-test where the game of animal hunting gives a better effect than the game of baseball.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze about: (1) the effect of slaloms ladder drill exercises on speed and agility; (2) the effect of carioca ladder drill training on speed and agility; (3) the difference between the effect of the Carioca ladder drill and the Carioca ladder drill on speed; (4) differences in the influence of carioca ladder drill and carioca ladder drill on agility. This type of research is quantitative with quasi-experimental methods. The research design used is maching only design and data analysis using t-test and ANOVA. Retrieval of data using a sprint 30 meters to measure speed and agility t-test to measure agility at the time of the pretest and posttest. The results showed that the difference between the pretest and posttest of each group were: (1) experimental group I for speed = 0.577 and agility = 0.663 (2) experimental group II for speed = 0.81 and agility = 0.757 (3) control group for speed = 0.122 and (4) control group for agility = 0.029. Based on the above analysis, it can be concluded that there is an increase in speed and agility for each group after being given the Ladoca drill ladder drill and carioca ladder drill seen from the t-test. In addition, through the ANOVA test, there are differences in speed in the two types of exercise. Carioca drill ladder increases speed compared to slaloms. While in agility there is no difference between ladder drill slaloms and carioca, but both groups have a better influence than the control group.

Abstract

The Jurisprudential Inquiry learning model is a learning model in its application facilitating learners to be sensitive to social problems, take a position on the problem, and maintain that position / attitude with relevant and valid arguments so as to improve students' critical thinking skills. Critical thinking in this research refers to five indicators, namely the ability to form conclusions, formulate questions, uncover problems, formulate alternative solutions. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Jurisprudential Inquiry learning model on critical thinking skills of MTs N 1 Situbondo students. This study uses experimental research design with the form of Quasi-Experimental Design with the type of pretest posttest control group design. The sample in this study was class VIII G numbering 22 students and VIII H a number of 24 students with purposive sampling sampling technique. The technique of collecting data uses test questions with the description form. The data analysis technique in this study is to use the independent sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence on the use of the Jurisprudential Inquiry learning model on students' critical thinking with indicators formulating conclusions, formulating questions, expressing problems and providing alternative solutions. The results of the hypothesis test show tcount 3.362 and ttable with a significance level (5%) 0.05, degree of freedom (db) = (n-2) then obtained t(0.05) (44) table = 2.015. The results of tcount>ttable, which shows the results of 3.362> 2.015.
