Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the performance of Indonesian language teachers in (1) learning planning, (2) the application of learning strategies, (3) classroom practice, and the implementation of MGMP learning (Subject Teacher Consultation) at Labuhan Haji 1 Junior High School in East Lombok Regency. The approach used is a quantitative approach to the type of action. The object of this study were 15 Indonesian Language teachers, 15 Indonesian Language teachers who were members of the Central Rayon Indonesian Language MGMP whose activities were centered at Labuhan Haji 1 Junior High School in East Lombok Regency. The data instruments used were knowledge tests, analysis, interviews, and portfolios. Hypothesis testing is done by looking at the improvement in the performance of the teacher's curriculum. The average score of the work score increased from 53.2 to reach 68.9 in cycle II. Because the performance score has reached 68.9 (rounded to 70), the alternative Hypothesis (Ha) which states the implementation of MGMP at Labuhan Haji 1 Public Middle School can improve teacher performance in learning planning, classroom management, and learning evaluation. The results of this study are that the implementation of MGMP in Labuhan Haji Middle School 1 can improve the performance of Indonesian Language teachers in learning planning, implementation of learning strategies, and learning. Thus the MGMP provisions that succeed in implementing the principles of human price management can improve the performance of Indonesian Language teachers in learning. Therefore, education teachers, school principals, and education supervisors are empowering the MGMP MGMP that exists mainly in schools because it can improve teacher professionalism.Keywords: teacher performance; MGMP; Indonesian language.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the intrinsic structure of Hikayat Iskandar Zulkarnain episode of IslamisasiHabsyi. The form of this research is descriptive qualitative. The approach used is a structural approach. Theresults showed intrinsic structure of theme, plot, characterization, background, and mandate. The structureprovides an overview of the story of a most prominent Islamic hero explaining the principles of Islam to his newadherents. The plot is using forward flow. With the main character named Iskandar is a great king. Thebackground of storytelling has a name and only certain initials, among others, the country of Andalas and the socalledant quartet. The message in Hikayat is humble in spite of Iskandar Zulkarnaen's glorious triumph "fromeast to west" he remains conscious of the majesty of the master, and of the magical mechanisms that move theuniverse, keeping him humble.Keywords: Structural, Intrinsic, Hikayat

Abstract

This study examines the form of religious moderation in the novel Kambing dan Hujan (KH) by Mahfud Ikhwan. This type of research is qualitative, which utilizes descriptive and analytical methods. The approach used is the sociology of literature which prioritizes literary texts as the study material. The results showed that the social setting of the novel KH includes people's living habits, traditions, and religious views. Meanwhile, the author's social background includes the place of birth, residence, and profession that influenced the publication of the novel KH. The social setting of the novel depicts an extreme and fanatical society in religion. However, there is also a picture of people who view everything as normal, not excessive, moderate, and do not feel superior to other parties on the opposite side. From the author's social background, it can be seen that Mahfud Ikhwan as a writer positions himself as a neutral party. Although the novel KH has a big theme, namely about two very important differences in ideology, opinions, and worship practices between NU and Muhammadiyah, the author is able to reach the two largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia's point of view by being in the middle of the two.Keywords: Sociology of Literature, Religious Moderation, The Novel Kambing dan Hujan.

Abstract

This study reviews the children's language ability in storytelling that is studied using the field of syntactic study. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent to which a child can master a sentence. The method used for this research is descriptive qualitative method. This method describes the results of recorded transcripts for analysis. The results of this analysis show that children in telling stories are more likely to use news sentences in conveying their experiences.Keyword: language, storytelling, and syntax.

Abstract

This study aims to identify directive speech acts on online news titles. Research data are sentences in online news titles. Research data sources in the form of online news titles sourced from the news in CNN Indonesia, Liputan 6.com, Detiknews, Viva.co.id.news, TEMPO.CO, Kompas.com, Kumparan.News, and Republika.co.id. Data collection using documentation methods, see, and note technique. Analysis of research data using the intralingual and pragmatic matching methods. The validity of the data in this study uses the triangulation method. The results showed the directive speech acts in the online news titles included: (1) forcing as much as 3.2%; (2) request as much as 4%; (3) asking for 40%; (4) giving orders as much as 2.4%; (5) demanded 4.8%; (6) prohibiting 12.8%; (7) suggest 11.2%; (8) invite 16%; and (9) collect 5.6%. The directive speech act on the online news headline can be used as a learning medium in digital technology-based schools.Keywords: directive speech acts; online news; learning media; digital technology.

Abstract

Indonesian has a word formation variant as an effort to update the vocabulary. However, not many people who use language know the terms transliteration, absorption and equivalent words in Indonesian. This makes a word accepted without knowing the original word form. The purpose of writing this article is to describe vocabulary written in the form of transliteration, absorption, and also equivalent words in Indonesian. The methodology used in this study is content analysis by focusing on the text used as the object of study. The results of research findings conducted by researchers are the existence of vocabulary in the form of transliteration, absorption, and equivalents that are often used in communication. The researcher gives an explanation of a word that is included in transliteration, absorption, and equivalence.Keyword: word form; language update; language terms.

Abstract

The objectives of the study were to describe the values contained in Tan Nunggal and Bujang Nadi Dare Nandong folklore in Sambas district of West Kalimantan. Folklore Tan Nunggal and Bujang Nadi Dare Nandong live and thrive in Sambas society. Through folklore acquisition of information based on oral culture can create literary generation. Sensitivity and critical power in the surrounding environment are preferred as a bridge to the literary generation, which is a generation that has critical thinking skills on all information to prevent emotional reactions. This culture is what most Indonesians do not seem to have. The research method used qualitative descriptive method with data analysis technique using interactive analysis technique that is with steps, that is data reduction, display data, and conclusion drawing / verification. The researchers used a hermeneutic approach. Examination of data validity using theory and source triangulation. The research finds the existence of religious values, social values, and moral values in the folklore Tan Nunggal and Bujang Nadi Dare Nandong.Keywords: folklore, character education, and literary generation

Abstract

Model learning cycle 7E merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang berlandaskan pada pandangan konstruktivisme. Dalam meningkatkan kemampuan belajar peserta didik secara optimal dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan materi dan serangkaian tugas dengan menggunakan modul sehingga peserta didik dapat belajar secara mandiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan prosedur penelitian Research and Development (penelitian dan pengembangan) dari Borg dan Gall (1983:775–776) dengan tahap: (a) research and information collecting, (b) planning, (c) develop preliminary form of product, (d) preliminary field testing,(e) main product revision, (f) main field testing, (g) operational product revision, (h) operational field testing, (i) operational product revision, (j) operational field testing (k) final product revision, dan (l) dissemination and implementation. Upaya kebutuhan penelitian ini disesuaikan dengan tujuan dan kondisi penelitian yang sebenarnya. Hasil observasi, wawancara, pengisian angket, dan FGD (Focus Group Discusion). Hasil dari penelitian: menghasilkan analisis kebutuhan modul evaluasi Pembelajaran Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia dengan model Pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E yaitu (Elicit, Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate, dan Extend) (Elicit, Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate, dan Extend). Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of the arguments contained in the discussion text in the BSE Indonesian Language textbook for class IX SMP, both in supporting and challenging arguments. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with content analysis method. Sources of data in this study are a number of discussion texts contained in the discussion text material in the BSE Indonesian Language textbook for class XI SMP. The results of this study indicate that the supporting and challenging arguments in the discussion text 1 under the title "Recycling for a Green Lifestyle" have a good rating category in the completeness of the content and pouring out the problems/issues discussed. Meanwhile, in supporting and challenging arguments, discussion text 2 under the title “Awareness of Paying Taxes” has a very good assessment in the completeness of the content and discussion of the problems/issues discussed. So that this discussion text book is able to become a learning material that can increase the creativity of students in utilizing the arguments described in the discussion text.Keywords: Discussion Text, Supporting Arguments, Challenging Arguments

Abstract

This research is the application of local kearipan-based environmental observation techniques in improving the critical thinking skills of IKIP PGRI Pontianak students. Based on the objectives of the research, the method to be implemented is using a learning strategy with local kearipan based environmental observation techniques with a qualitative descriptive method in the form of Classroom Action Research. The results showed that the study of old literature with observation techniques based on local wisdom can improve critical thinking of class B students in the morning of semester IV at IKIP PGRI Pontianak. This is indicated by the initial condition of only 68.75% of students who get completeness, then it increases in cycle I to 75% and increases again in cycle II to 90%. Based on the increase in the average value and the percentage of students completeness shows that environmental observation techniques based on local wisdom can improve the critical thinking of IKIP PGRI Pontianak students.Keywords: Application; Observation; Environment; Thinking; Critical.
